  Hi, this might be a weird, but I was wondering if it is possible to change the anti-aliasing of 'pointed' to 'strong' through multiple layers of text. I have exported an illustrator strongly stratified as a .psd file preserving the editability of the text, but am really unhappy that the default value is 'pointed' to both the letters and the kerning. Maybe there is something I should be doing in illustrator before exporting? Select and change the effect of anti-aliasing of the type on each of these layers (there are many) is going to be tedious.

  With the type tool active, select the layers that must change in the layers panel (SHIFT - and control - click on them to highlight at the same time). Then simply change the smoothing parameters in the options bar, and all the layers should change. It works (at least) CS2, 3 and 4.

  You can even use Select menu > all layers if you are really changing all of them.

• What is the best practice to block through several layers sizes: hardware and hypervisor VM OS?

  The example below is not a real Setup, I work with, but should get the message. Here's my example of what I'm doing as a reference layer:

  (LAYER1) Hardware: The hardware RAID controller

  • -1 TB Volume configured in the 4K block size. (RAW)?

  
  

  (Layer2) Hypervisor: Data store ESXi

  • -1 TB of Raid Controller formatted with VMFS5 @ block size of 1 MB.

  
  

  Layer (3) the VM OS: Server 2008 R2 w/SQL

  • -100 GB virtual HD using NTFS @ 4 K for the OS block size.
  • -900 GB virtual HD set up using NTFS @ 64 K block size to store the SQL database.

  It seems that vmfs5 is limited to only having a block size of 1 MB. It would be preferable that all or part of the size of the blocks matched on different layers and why or why not? What are the different block sizes on other layers and performance? Could you suggest better alternative or best practices for the sample configuration above?

  If a San participated instead of a hardware on the host computer RAID controller, it would be better to store the vmdk of OS on the VMFS5 data store and create an iSCSI separated THAT LUN formatted to a block size of 64 K, then fix it with the initiator iSCSI in the operating system and which size to 64 K. The corresponding block sizes through layers increase performance or is it advisable? Any help answer and/or explaining best practices is greatly appreciated.

  To answer your questions here, will:

  I have 1 TB of space (around) and create two Virutal Drives.

  Virtual Drive 1-10GB - to use for OS Hyper-visiere files

  Virtual Drive 2 - 990 GB - used for the storage of data/VM VMFS store

  The element size of default allocation on the Perc6 / i is 64 KB, but can be 8,16,32,64,128,256,512 or 1024 KB.

  What size block would you use table 1, which is where the real hyper-visiere will be installed?

  -> If you have two tables I would set the size of the block on the table of the hypervisor to 8 KB

  What block size that you use in table 2, which will be used as the VM data store in ESXi?

  ->, I'd go with 1024KO on VMFS 5 size

  -Do you want 1024KO to match the VMFS size which will be finally formatted on top he block?

  -> Yes

  * Consider that this database would eventually contain several virtual hard drives for each OS, database SQL, SQL logs formatted to NTFS to the recommended block, 4K, 8K, 64K size.

  -> The problem here is THAT VMFS will go with 1 MB, no matter what you're doing so sculpture located lower in the RAID will cause no problems but does not help either.  You have 4 k sectors on the disk.  RAID 1 MB, 1 MB invited VMFS, 4 k, 8K, 64 K.   Really, 64K gains are lost a little when the back-end storage is 1 MB.

  If the RAID stripe element size is set to 1 024 Ko so that it matches the VMFS 1 MB size of block, which would be better practice or is it indifferent?

  -> So that's 1024KB, or 4 KB chucks it doesn't really matter.

  What effect this has on the OS/Virtual HD and their sizes respective block installed on top of the tape and the size of block VMFS element?

  -> The effect is minimal on the performance but that exists.   It would be a lie to say that he didn't.

  I could be completely on the overall situation of the thought, but for me it seems that this must be some kind of correlation between the three different "layers" as I call it and a best practice in service.

  Hope that helps.  I'll tell you I ran block size SQL and Exchange time virtualized without any problem and without changing the operating system.  I just stuck with the standard size of microsoft.  I'd be much more concerned by the performance of the raid on your server controller.  They continue to do these things cheaper and cheaper with cache less and less.  If performance is the primary concern then I would consider a matrix or a RAID5/6 solution, or at least look at the amount of cache on your raid controller (reading is normally essential to the database)

• How to create holes through several layers?

  I would like to use boxes to drill holes in the work in layers below them. I want the result to look exactly like this image, but with the white boxes in transparent holes.

  It seems so simple, but I can't find any combination of forms of tools/compounds of layers/pathfinder / or clipping masks that will produce this result. No matter what, I end up losing a part of the work (usually the topo lines and the black bar).

  What Miss me?

  You can:

  (1) select the boxes to become of the holes and object > Group (if already nort);

  (2) to select the entire document and in transparency, palette flyout check do with unchecked with Clip opacity mask and invert the mask ticked.

  There seems to be no need of multiple layers, but the opacity mask pierces through them all right.

• Paste a shape as a mask when there are several layers?

  I have a couple of layers that I applied the auto vector command in order to hide. I want to now draw a rectangle rounded on part of my canvas, cut this rectangle with corners rounded and right-click on the drawing area and choose Edition > paste as mask, so the picture will be revealed due to the rounded rectangle shape. It works with a single layer, but now that I have several layers and masks vector auto I don't know which image/layer for click straight on and do with?

  Instead of cutting the rounded rectangle, leave it at the top of the stack of items, select all three objects, then select Modify > mask > Group as mask (or you can right click to select the group in the mask). This command will apply the object higher in the selection as a mask for the items below.

  Lighrroom 6 is not a free upgrade from older versions of the software constantly, but rather can be purchased here: link to the purchase of Adobe products .

  Scroll to lightroom and click 'buy '. Click on the text selectable by "I want: 'and select 'upgrade'."

  However, since you have the CC photography plan, you should be able to download and install Lightroom CC 2015 on the site of creative cloud.

  Since Lightroom CC is a new product, it will not show as an update in Adobe Application Manager.

  Instead, press the button install next to Lightroom in the Application Manager.

  If you do not see 'install' by Lightroom in the application manager, please first try to log out and return to: connect and disconnect from the creative cloud desktop application

  Your objects punch must be in a large group; It will cut through all that is below.

  Create the shape you want to cut and set it to black Uni. Select your group and your form and (in the transparency palette), click make mask.

  Uncheck the Clip, and then return to the palette.

  I'm new to After Effects and trying to replicate a similar sequence of an After Effects file, someone has already done in my cabinet. It's a zoom back effect buzzing of big picture plan New York (empire state building) through several photos to finally a picture of the globe. I do not understand how the zoom effect has been obtained, as there is no camera layer (this is how I saw it in many instructional videos). I also do not understand how the layers of photos work, because it seems that all the layers in the photo are on through the entire timeline. Shouldn't they overlap and cause a mess? • Dynamic filters deactivation on dynamic objects while making connections in CC

  This just started today, but in trying to apply a filter of "Sharpness" to a .gif (video file) Smart Object, visibility of the filter turns off as soon as I click on the play button in the timeline panel.

  My approach is this:

  > Save the .gif on computer

  > Leader open .gif in PS CC

  > Convert all layers of dynamic object

  > Apply the sharpness filter to the smart object to create the smart filter

  > Click on 'Play' on the Timeline

  > * ISSUE: the smart filter becomes invalid. It won't save even when you export for the Web.

  I made connections for years using this process and it never became a problem until today. I wonder if it's just a bug in this version of PS CC? It's super annoying! Any help I could get would be fantastic. Thank you!

  To keep track, I'm not sure your workflow, but I'm guessing that at a given time convert you a chronology of "animation image" GIF to a collage "video". We are trying to fix a bug for the dynamic filters on video editing. The bug involved filters that do not have a dialogue window, sharpen, sharpen more, etc. These filters would be disabled to play or export. This could be the problem you see now. This problem appeared in Photoshop CC 2015. It will be fixed in the next update of Photoshop.

  I looked everywhere for a way to simply apply the same filter with several layers at once, without first convert to smart object. I need to keep my layers intact and separated from the others. Does anyone know of a script or a way to do this?

  Hi all

  I'm working on a file, Indesign has several layers which are both about a 10% capacity.

  When I just put the two on 10% obviously, you can see the bottom layer through the top layer.

  What I want is that you will not be able to see the layer of background (despite the top layer of 10% opacity), but simply to see the white background just as if it would be not another layer below.

  In the example image, you can see what I have now.
  So what I want, it's that you will not see the logo of the carbrands under the word Scantools.
  Is this possible?

  You can also simply use a tint of the color rather than reduce the opacity of the word SCANTOOLS.

• FL CS4: editing timeline for several layers

I can not understand in any way, except to put the playhead in the middle and click Command + F5 200 times.   Ah, ok, you were on the right track. Basically what you need to do, is hold the Ctrl/Cmd key while dragging through the multiple layers. Select the song you want to shorten using the CTRL + drag and then delete the frames (by right click context menu).

• Creating a dynamic form that would reveal a second "layer" of the form.

  I am looking to create a form that if need an additional request can be consulted and seen that if turned on by button or a certain type of trigger. The second part of the form would also require the choice of answers or fill in the fields. Is this possible? I need to keep it as a form/page, because it must be printed on the receiving end once it is filled. I can do the thing layer but I'm looking to make it easy for a user NOT easily fill the form and send it. Let me know what you think.

  Yes, it can be done. A button can be set up to show a layer, as well as hidden fields.

  Add a button, make the layer visible through the layers panel and then go to properties of the button Actions tab and add a new trigger to mouse to the top. Then select the command "Set layer visibility. You can also use the "show/hide a command" to view fields associated with this layer, under the same trigger.

If you click on this point, I want to give the possibly to choose which layer you want. Now when I have several layers, only the last can be clicked. Is there a way to solve it?

  I tried really hard things to fool this behavior. At the end of the search for new features that were not in the documentation, I found this: MVMapView.enableMultiThemeClickable (boolean). They should update the documentation because there are a lot of functions implemented that do not exist.
