  Read further in the forum and noticed that someone had the same problem.  I removed and re - add my e-mail address.  Problem solved.

  Well, you can't always believe them.  Try to remove your e-mail account, and then verify that you do not have interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) then compact and repair the database of WinMail (www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and add your account back once again and see if that makes a difference.  Also, make sure that you are checking in not too often (like every 2 minutes) for mail (Tools |) Options).

  My computer (Windows XP) has two e-mail accounts and local folders that display correctly under "Accounts Mail and News" in the troubleshooting information. But Thunderbird has stopped to show one of the accounts in the left column (the directory structure) of its start page.   All e-mail accounts are Web-based. The difference is what allows you to get your mail. A program like Outlook or Windows Mail is an email client, and that's what looking for your error message. Yahoo's Webmail and in most cases, Webmail can be done by default. It is a solution that might work for you.

  Hello.  I have a Curve 8330 on Sprint network.  About a day and a half, I stopped receiving my emails on my phone.  I can't send email either.  SMS, MMS, Blackberry messenger all work very well.  My e-mail account works fine if I connect via the browser.  My wife has the same phone has a hotmail e-mail account and had no problems.

  What a PITA! I just recorded, spent some time typing, responded to the confirmation email, spent some time more typing and had "Access denied" when I click on submit. Everything I had typed is gone, and I have to start all over again! I repeat - PITA! Type it again will be a bit more stripped. I hope that it is enough to get help.

  I use Tbird since 2009. 4 email accounts, pop3 all configured to use a single local folders Inbox. I use popfile to classify/sort incoming mail & message filters to move 20 + different folders under local folders. It has been working perfectly for years.

  I just add an another Gmail configured EXACTLY like the others. But a new show up as a separate account over local folders in the folder with its own Inbox and trash folders list. NO other 4 accounts appear here. I get duplicates of all mail entering this new account - 1 to the Inbox of the own account and 1 in the Inbox 'common' which is then moved to the local folder appropriate by the message filter. And the additional account in the folder list causes a few folders to "fall" down my screen. I've implemented VERY carefully so that everything fits on my screen WITHOUT SCROLLING. Except that it doesn't not fit!

  Nevermind - I FINALLY found. Under Advanced - Server settings use the Inbox of the other account. It has been TOO long since I've implemented all other accounts!

  I use e-mail to Windows 8 for over a year. All of a sudden, one morning, none of my email accounts open. The e-mail client opens, and the points turn in a circle without end. None of my emails has. I have four different e-mail - 2 on Google accounts, 2 on other ISPS. I can open each of them through the Internet ISP sites without problem.

  One of my Google accounts says "Needs attention."  When I click on it it asks me to connect. I do and I see "Your Gmail account update" and "preparing your email', and the ubiquitous circle of points that never ends.

  I don't even know what else to try at this point. I did not the latest changes to my computer.

  The top toolbar on Windows Live mail must be a Sign In button (to the right).  There the connection with the same email and password allows you to connect to your PC and your Live Mail program should show the same contacts you have in the people application.
