  • BlackBerry smartphones can not uninstall the Facebook app.

On the storm, I downloaded and updated the Facebook several times. Unfortunately I never receive notifications (I know this isn't the fault of Facebook, BlackBerry). I am now trying to uninstall and remove this application but I can't work out how! I highlighted the Facebook icon and press the "menu" button, but the delete option is not there.

Anyone know what I can do?

    Thank you

    Hi stickievix,

The best way to do it is by going to Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

Search for Facebook in the list, select it and click and then press menu key.

You should then have an option to remove the application.

Any help would be great... My girlfriend is getting angry!

    Thank you

I saw flaky behavior when it is tiny - suffice it to say that we know we have a connectivity full all uppercase.

Batt-pop restart is done as follows... the powered unit being turned on, open the back cover and remove the battery. Wait about a minute, then reinsert the battery and replace the back cover. Then turn on and wait patiently through the long long long restart the process (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). Then try again to see if it is resolved. This method is the best way to really restart the 'cold' device - all your settings and things are kept, it starts only on a real power off of the State. And this has been reported to clear up many odd behaviors. As any computing device, a normal reboot is a healthy thing.

  • Attachments to the e-mails of blackBerry Smartphones can not open the Storm

My office has MS Exchange and emails are using Outlook. I receive e-mail messages on my phone that are sent through the Blackberry Desktop Redirector program.  Emails cross, however, I can't open attachments in e-mail on my phone.  He's saying "this type of attachment cannot be seen on your device."  The attachment is a Word document created on a Word 2003 program.  PDF and Excel files will not open either.  Word to go and sheet to go appear in the applications folder and appear to be installed.  I can't get email attachments to open.  Is this a result of the Blackberry Desktop Redirector program?  My office uses a system of e-mail MS Exchange (Outlook).  If the redirector is the problem is it another way to get emails from Outlook and open the attachments?  I love this phone, but I need to be able to view the documents that are attached to emails.  Any help would be appreciated.

    redirector does not support attachments

redirector is an old dinosaur of a program with so many limitations

DTM to uninstall, reinstall using the option of personal e-mail to remove the redirector

on your BB go to advanced options options-service books and remove books 2 service called DESKTOP

then you integrate your email through OWA/BIS

I ran a MX for your domain search and don't have any issues find your mail server.

In regards to integration advanced, won't see it an advanced option, but if you follow the article knowledge base, I provided above, it will take you through the process.  The key to the advanced integration of departure is to enter your email address and leave the password empty fields.

In addition, its quite possible it might be a firewall related issue.  Here's another article in the knowledge base on the connection and firewall requirements:

I guess because I don't have a set yet, email account which I can't seem to be able to be implemented without this service CMIME book. It feels a bit like the issue of ' chickens and eggs ", necessarily should I this book of CMIME email service on my first device until I can set up my yahoo email account (if so, how can I w/o a mobile operator is able to send it) or do I need an account already set up email to send service book of CMIME email directly from my camera? Thanks in advance, I appreciate your help. Cheers, Jens

    Hello

With a legacy of BB device, you must be on a medium that supports full BIS. Without BIS, it has none of the owners BB services available, which includes the management of e-mail. Inherited from BB devices do not have a complete email client on board... they need of BIS (hosted at the carrier) in order for the email function.

So, sad to say, but your efforts are useless, unless you change to a carrier who will provide your device BIS.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not see the list of the entire message when I opened the messages icon.

I used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, texts SMS, missed calls, voice messages and anything else when I open Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 office, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen.  When I hit the menu button, the menu appears without a problem and if I click on the trackball, it will open a message, but I do not see the list itself.

Also, when I go to view the folder I can access an individual folder and they come very well.  The only problem is the list of the combined messages that you are supposed to get when you open the icon on the desktop (or the application menu).

    Could someone help me please

First thing... do a reboot simple: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Now, that is the visible screen?

Have you tried resetting the device? Remove the battery when the device is turned on... and then check the issue.

  • Map of media recognized by the laptop blackBerry Smartphones, but not BB Desktop Manager

I just bought a new media card that I installed in my BB Curve 9320.  When I go into my computer and discovers the phone as a disk, the space available on my new media card appears but when I try to sync everything using the Desktop Manager it just tells me I have insufficient storage and suggests using a memory card?  Map support obviously is not defective and is correctly installed, otherwise it would not appear anywhere? Thought I'd ask here was probably more likely to find a solution than the last half hour, I was screaming to my laptop!  I tried to go into the options of the device and changing where the media is stored but the only option of the menu drop-down me gives is "device 32 MB" also, I read the post about the reassignment of the number of disks in disk management, but it has not solved the problem either

How do you solve a problem like Maria!  (although my name is Emma!) Smart cookie that I am, I worked it out by myself but announcement on the case where someone else has the same problem.  I put the micro SD in the SD adapter full size that came with it and plugged directly into the memory card on my laptop... how he told me that the card should be formatted, did that and boom, now he's worked

Hello and welcome to the community!

Since little information, we unfortunately have to make assumptions... the content accurate and full of error messages is always more useful than a short short description.

So here's my proposal? Is there a COMPUTER policy on your device?

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

Is there and you're on BES, then stop now and go talk to your BES admins... they control everything.

If there is and you are not on BES, then you need to clean your unit of the it policy:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Be very attentive to provided warnings, particularly the fact that your device will be wiped clean in the process. You can find adequate instructions to backup via the link in my sig auto on this post. But, when you restore, do not full restore... restore instead, only those databases you requested (e.g., calendar, contacts, etc.) and more precisely to avoid restore and data bases that have nothing to do with politics, COMPUTING, business, or anything similar. If you restore the databases, the it policy will be conscientiously restored to your device, and you will be right back where you started.

If there is no COMPUTER policy, contact your mobile provider for formal support.

Good luck and let us know!

    Hello docvish,

    Welcome to the community,

As the PC or laptop requires the restart of our smartphone require also restarts to remove slow, whenever you feel any unusual just give a battery pull reboot I have; e while the unit is on the battery wait a min. then reinsert it wait until it restarts. You can also give a soft reboot by pressing alt + Shift R (aA ^) + DELETE.

Also avoid any applications running in the background, press on and hold Menu button for a few seconds, it will appear a screen showing running applications or that are still open., remember always to get out of the applications not only to return the key. Try if solves your problem, or alternatively you can visit any Center of Blackberry service to the issue.

  • Phone of blackBerry Smartphones do not accept the password

Hello.  I have a torch 9800.  I was texting last night and my password has worked well.  Then all of a sudden I couldn't connect.  I tried the SIM card in an another blackberry and it was fine.  ATT have me try a SIM unlock access code and it changed nothing.  I'm sure it's the phone, but don't know how to fix it.  I am to 8/10 unsuccessful login.   I saw that you can reset if it spends more than 10 (but will lose all your info).  How do reset you?  Thank you!

    Mrbarley wrote:

Thanks for the reply.  the prompt only I have is the "password (8/10).  There is no other messages that came, and I know that I have the right password that I use on my blackberry to work as well.

It certainly looks like the user created password locking device... only it will work. It can be a subtle thing to use keyboard... alt, sym, caps, etc. Or the keyboard can be somehow not in the correct state. A batt pull reboot can reset the keyboard to a normal state by default and allows you to enter your password as usual. But, again, be careful... only 2 chances left.

    Mrbarley wrote:

I'll try the USB link at home tonight and see if the phone accepts the password via the keyboard of the computer.

As I said, it is only useful if you've done it before... If you have never done before in this way, you know maybe actually not quite what the exact password characters are (according to alt, caps, sym, use etc.).

    Mrbarley wrote:

If I have to wipe the phone to use it, it's okay.    Is there a way to reset the phone and set a new password if I don't see not all 10/10 password attempts?

After the failure of 10th, the BB will wipe clean, including the removal of the password. It will be like it was when you first received it... Nice and new, with nothing about all things created by the user at all.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not change the electronic signature with the Blackberry Internet Service on Orange

    Hello

I'm on Orange and I am trying to remove the signature when I send the email to my gmail account.

An earlier thread was really useful-

    R Man

I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to change the signature on my blackberry curve 8300.  I'm with Orange Business.  On my camera, it displays the option, but cannot be changed.  On my bill online orange it does not mention - in fact it is impossible to get information from blackberry.  Could someone help me?  I keep seeing references to the 'BIS' - which I suppose means Blackberry internet service - but this does not seem to help me?  This is a website / option on the phone / or what?  DRM for any help...

    Bifocals

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You're BIS correct is the Blackberry Internet service.

If you go through the icon to setup e-mail on your phone, you will actually the site of the BIS.

If you can not change your signature through the device, you can connect to a PC Web site.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not remove the icon...

About two days ago with the number '1' in front of him a little envelope icon directly at noon under the hour and the day/date, which are stacked in the center of the upper InfoBar at the top of the screen.  This envelope will appear in italics vs the indicator total number of messages in the upper left corner under the battery charge indicator.

I had seen it before and it was a kind of message from Blackberry, but I could see it in the Inbox, but now I'm not able to remove it

    All ideas

If the advice of the tanzim are unsuccessful, try this:

Open any folder for e-mail messages.  Press the BB menu button and select view folders.  This opens a list of folders in which your mystery message could be hiding.  Browse all records for the culprit.
