  It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
  Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > > remove
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > > remove
  3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.

  Windows mail has changed recently. If I get an email with an attachment, there is no "paper clip" in the upper right corner. I must go to FILE then OPEN.   I noticed a different change: when the records are displayed as part of the screen now extends much further to the right, From/receipts/topic, section etc.  This change seems to have occurred in the last day or two.

  Since the user name, aka email address is already in use, it seems that you have setup a BlackBerry ID already.

  Assuming that this is the case, compete with the following to 'swap' username, alias e-mail addresses so that you can bring your BBM contacts.

  Notes; In order to complete this process, you will need three active addresses. The BBID you currently use that contains your BBM contacts list will be referred to as BBID-1. The BBID you want to use, it's already in service will be called BBID-3. The 'swap' address will be referred to as BBID-3.

  1. Connect to bbid.com using BBID-2
  2. Change the user name, alias e-mail address BBID-3
  3. Sign out of bbid.com
  4. Connect to bbid.com using BBID-1
  5. Change the user name to your new email address, BBID-2
  6. Sign out of bbid.com

  After completing these steps you will be have updated your user name BBID to your new email address while maintaining your BBM contacts list.

  Here's what worked for me:

  1 uninstalled the Blackberry Desktop software.

  2 restarted.

  3 reinstalled new version (4.7) of Blackberry desktop software.

  4 restarted.

  5 connected my phone via USB. This time, he turned off the PIN.

  If the above does not work, you can just remove all branches of the registry with the Blackberry Research in Motion... you're on your own if you do this. A simpler solution is to create a new connection on the Windows System...

  I get e-mail messages concerning the posst on Facebook on my Curve 9300 and the default device, Facebook for creating new appointments in the calendar.  I don't want default Facebook and I don't need the Facebook calendar to all.  How can I change this?

  Do two things.

  • Open your Facebook account for Blackberry applications, press the Menu key > Options.
  • Scroll down to "Integrate with BlackBerry calendar" and uncheck the box and disable that.
  • Now on your BlackBerry, go to your list of Options > Advanced > default Services.
  • Change the calendar default to one of your e-mail accounts, not Facebook.
