E10: Insight Eloqua roadblocks

We met some roadblocks with Eloqua Insight on obtaining the reports you need scoring and lead campaign.

Filtering currently Eloqua Insight and metrics are limited to fields like name, address email, company, system and created Eloqua date. Criticism, we must join in Insight are custom fields.  This includes all fields of notation of lead (Lead rating, note explicit and implicit score), our custom date fields (score last lead, purchase date fields for each business unit history) and our fields of integration (MSCRM Contact ID, date of last synchronization).

There is a demand for open feature (Exp47) that is currently underway, but a release date has not yet been established.

With these limitations Insight, we are unable to create reports on our wish list:

  • Recipes related to campaigns
  • Complete automated lead, staff report
  • Marketing funnel report

Aelse LL is to find this situation a significant hurdle?

Thank you for the message!

Custom fields will be available on an overview of mid-August 2012. Come August, if you want to use custom fields available on Insight, you can get to from Eloqua support team and request to have this added. Note: Just ask once for all custom fields are available.

Regarding scoring lead from the fields, there are little lead scoring already available on the Insight fields. You can access them using the Analyzer license (formerly 'Designer' license, allowing to create/edit Insight reports). Most of these fields will be under attributes / Metrics--> Contacts--> lead scoring. Alternatively, you can search the data model by typing the full/partial name of the field you are looking for in the search field "Find" under "all objects".

For the fields of integration, you will find most of them under the attribute--> account--> integration fields or use the search to 'Find', as shown above for the scoring lead.

  • ELOQUA Insight report filters

    Hello

    I was wondering if there is a way to set the display filter criteria reports displayed as we do with the 'Shared filters' or segments.

    For example, to have the logic as something like filter 1 AND filter 2 AND 3 or 4 etc filter. I can see that we can have the RUP in displayed filters but I didn't always understand how to add supports for the displayed data.

    Hi Eva,

    If you have more than two filter conditions in relation to the various set operators among them, use the right shift key to report filter group together conditions. This is analogous to the addition of parentheses around two report filter conditions.

    Use the left SHIFT key to separate the report filter conditions. This is analogous to the removal of the brackets around two report filter conditions.

  • View Eloqua Email ID in E10?

    Currently in E9, when you hover over an Email in the hierarchy, hover status of your browser window will display internally Eloqua Email ID. In the screenshot below, the e-mail ID for "VS." "the phase 1B TFN ' is '2745.

    My question, E10 is always allow this feature?

  • Eloqua commit - 'Reports' list of emails sent recently-

    In Eloqua Engage, is there a way to delete some have recently sent emails from the tab "reports"? In this way, if someone wants to remove test emails or obsolete emails from the list, they can do. Finally, new e-mails will take the statement and those who will be at the bottom but is more for cleaning purposes.

    Yes.  If you go to Insight - Email Email - Email Metrics - sales reports you will see a sales model using email report and some other reports that I'll allow you to go down the overall activity is committed.  I hope this helps!

  • Budget Management - Eloqua marketing

    Plenty of chatter about managing spend and budget in Eloqua natively on the last three months that I thought it was time to post this (vote on this poll... ( http://topliners.eloqua.com/polls/1222)

    As Michael Kopp has done in the past, I'm testing a potential demand (m - l) on of the Topliner.  Let me know how ridiculous, you think it is!  BTW.  I heard clearly state of Eloqua Senior as "Eloqua is not a MBM tool and has no intend to be the" can I have heard that a month ago, but which is not questions for me.  Im going to keep asking.

    Request to support Eloqua Marketing Budget management.

    1. An additional tab in the campaign settings capture
      • dates with a greater depth (cmpn start/end, statement of the dates of beginning and the cuttof, dates in. has been raised and consumed, start and closing date for acceptance of stakeholders)
        • dates not only, but the ability to measure internal and timestamping cycle time (time in State xx)
      • amounts of $$$ investment partners: think of this as a list of choices, where options include 'spend buckets': partner MDF Plan/actual, real/Mktk program Plan, specific campaign plan/actual (books white, sem, testimonials, webinars, etc.).
      • Maybe an additional tab (or layer) in the middle of camp, showing the requested amount consumed vs, #associated po #s, contact details of the seller, owner budget info (associated: integrate the contact information of the seller.) Quelque_chose different, easy to address)
    2. The ability to place/view/align campaigns in multiple models [view by a. region, b. spend, c. Conversions, bang more high e., 5 the lowest cost...], it could be interpreted as allowing the structures of expandable files for campaigns, programs, models, etc..
    3. Added value.  Threshold alerts. Simple alerts config for the leadership that the objectives of investment/expenditures are 'at risk' or "Maxim Performance".  Something that says "Hey J, this pipe might be leaking.  Check it out! »
    4. Change of paradigm? Budgets as separate unique objects, with links to campaigns, programs, lps, active, forms, content etc.  As opposed to the current arch, which I believe only has budget fields on the object of the campaign.  I don't really know the ERD.  It's just how I see it.
    5. All the required synchronizations for happy healthy CRM integration & & integration of Insight.  WRT to Insight, there are the usual caution need to have the "usable" data for reporting.  Would be really nice working MDX!

    MktOp'rs would be happy if we could get our paws on these data for reports, within our Elq instance.  I would very definitely. From there on, I think that everything would be in place for an intuitive journey in Mktg Budget Mgmt.

    If this business process has been truly supported in Eloqua, natively, my desire to...

    • looking outside the seller tools, APIs, services, or to
    • create a solution of kludgy with custom fields campaign, including the awkward foreign key relationships

    ... decreases significantly.

    There are other issues to consider: change of acceleration, meetings of stage, compile, test, documentation user, change process documentation, deployment, QA, Workflows, UAT, UAT, training teams, etc.  No reason to not work seriously in the wings, while the architecture is established (or built!) by a small team.

    Finals.  I am confused on how to evaluate investment, overall marketing, everything, thick-Tech white papers for Brochures fantasy w/quote of day; Cost of running a team of operations, Vs cost of Production and QA in Pune? Return on cost of Dreamforce? Effectiveness of the roadshows. and how to manage the partner MDF with grace and financial responsibility dilemma (and son of string).

    I like how you described carefully your requests to find out where their maybe some Eloqua gaps for management of the marketing budget. For many of your points above, software Allocadia (partner appcloud) connects to Eloqua to offer the functionality of your applications noted above, such as:

  • Consulting multiple models of Score lead in Insight

    I would like to compare two models of notation in the Score Dashboard drive in Insight.  Is this possible?

    We have two models as described below.

    However, in the Score Dashboard driving Insight, we can see only the active model.  I wish I could see the two models in Insight.  Page 8 of Eloqua 10 Drive Configuration Guide rating it seems it should be possible, however, I only see one.

    The aspect of troubleshooting and analysis, whether you have one or more templates "active", is a good point and something I'll discuss with the team scoring lead.  Agreed that allowing the comparison of a production model to a model being developed for production, should be possible on any trim.

  • Object Insight MDX

    Can any that describe the MDX object goal Insight or how analyzers Eloqua could use when it becomes available?  In part, I wonder if data from a solution such as Kapost (attributes related to the system of content Mktg.) could be fed directly into Insight.

    MDX are multidimensional objects. They allow you to report against the data sources of other applications and databases (for example SAP) to use the attributes and parameters of this application on a report.

    At this point, our development team began research on what is involved with include MDX, so it is too early to say when it will be available in the report against. I have noted your interest in including the application data Kapost. In a preview, if anyone is interested in reporting on the data of a particular application, feel free to add a response to this announcement.

  • Help! How to upgrade a contact in a folder of data card record in the E10?

    Our upgrade was yesterday. I missed a critical use case in our planning of pre-upgrade. I need help, please.

    Here's the use case:

    1. a system of third party feeds campaign pot directly through response data to an object custom data Eloqua (this always works)

    2 al ' E9, the CDO - via the data stages of transformation of the map Services - has been captures the data, save and update the Contact table (no longer)

    3. then, he drew the call of SFDC integration to associate the record as a campaign response (it's so more work based on #2 no longer works)

    In E10, the rule to update in the stages of processing of data card Services does not allow data to be updated to the Contact table via a rule update - action is no longer an option. (I totally missed the impact of upgrading to update rules - sigh).

    This is where I need help. How can I build this works in E10? I'm testing it even as I write this, and I see some results by setting the option "Domain mapping" in the ORDER of the Contact table. Oddly, I can't map the field Email Address - it is not giving me an option to do so. In addition, this option does not large text fields and I have one of those in this data set. I feel I'm missing something, but I'm so far in the weeds now, I'm not sure what it is - any help is very appreciated.

    Hi Kristin,

    Updated Eloqua10 and Eloqua9 rules have a different set of options for the update action. It seems that in this scenario, we need to fix the second case where the data card Service was runs a update rule to map the CDO data for the contact table. In the custom data object module, we have an option called mapping fields. You can use this to get the same results as the update rule by mapping the CDO data directly to the contact table on the entries of new & updated data up-to-date card the. Once this change is made, the workflow remains in what concerns the integration association and campaign SFDC will continue to work normally.

  • Eloqua social Suite

    I'm just now diving into the Suite Social Eloqua.  I'm curious to know how other people are using these tools.  What connectors you find effective?  What reports do you use?  What Analytics again you?

    We take advantage of the bass of Social Suite

    We use all the connectors of social sharing (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google + Twitter) on our landing pages - the form on the page and the page of thanks after the formula. It's more to encourage sharing and extend our reach.

    We use the YouTube and Slideshare connectors to incorporate content located on landing pages. This way our audience stays with our brand and we not send social channels. It is always important to keep your eyes on you once you have their attention. People are more likely to continue to go before hit the back button to return to your brand.

    We also used social sign - on and ran Insight reports for the campaign to measure conversions through the form (with pop before) vs social sign - on. We looked at how many new names have been through the form - so prep-pop was not valid - vs new names used social sign - on and we saw conversions more with the latter. Overall, considering those that use SSO instead of the form, because they do not like forms, we have increased overall conversions.

    Thrilled to hear how everyone takes advantage of these tools.

  • Get to Eloqua 9 data via the API?

    Can anyone shed light on what is available via the Eloqua9 API to get the Eloqua data and also have a system (such as SQL2012) external data in Eloqua push? We are trying to implement the data cleanup efforts in our new tool of Data Quality Services and we would like to integrate with Eloqua. Can you give us some insight and detail on what we can and cannot do?

    Eloqua offers various options of the Soap API & REST.

    Also low volume & bulk options as well.

    An air of challenge, you can accomplish connecting SQL2012 to Eloqua defining HTTP endpoints and using components of script for mappings of field and transfer data using SSIS.

    For a more robust solution I would develop a .net stand alone application, and you can call it of SSIS in order automation and business intelligence.

  • Special characters in HTML, E10

    Hi, before I search it or open a case of taking charge, I thought I'd ask you nice smart people.

    We try to download HTML in Chinese and Portuguese in E10. It comes out gibberish. In E9, allows us to select the "International Language Support (UTF - 8, Unicode)" option when the download, but I do not see where this possibility exists in E10. "

    If anyone else has experienced this? We save the bad HTML? Are we mad? Should we just use the new editor of fantasy?

    Hi Stacey,

    Eloqua 10, this option will be on the email itself, rather than during the download Assistant. You can find it under the gear icon - settings, and there will be a drop down option for text encoding.

    However, it also seems that your source file is unable to be correctly saved in the UTF-8 format when it is created. Depending on the program that you use to create the file, it may or may not be an option to select the text encoding to record. If there is, choose UTF-8 here should eliminate the problem, as in Eloqua the default encoding is UTF-8. If it is not the case, you can also have your web team try to open the html file in Notepad and save again. The notebook will give you the option to set text encoding, so that you can select UTF - 8 even if your source program (dreamweaver, frontpage, etc.) does not offer this option.

    If this does not solve the problem, please open a case with the support and provide the file, and we can certainly take a look at what may be the problem.

  • Has anyone made it using the "Update Image" feature in Eloqua?

    We did not have much success with the help of the new feature "Update Image" Interior Eloqua - especially on pages that are built 100% in HTML and imported into. Anyone succeeded with the help of the new "Update Image"? If so, I would like to know how you use (outside the WYSIWYG). Maybe it's the flaw - it works with the WYSIWYG - someone can confirm? (support could not or would not)

    I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking, but in E10, for updating an image, I go to the assets > library > Images > double click on the image to update, click on the "Update Image" button and download the new image. There are sometimes a few minutes for the update display assets.
