E120: high power mode consumption standby

Hello, I am new to lenovo. I have thinkpad edge e120, and there is my second question:

When I turn on the computer in mode 'sleep' Windows, it works very well. but after a few hours (8-10) in standby mode, the battery is low or empty. my friend's macbook air and it may be in mode 'sleep' (or something like that - after the opening of the computer, the system works in seconds) for days, perhaps weeks. is this normal? I don't want to use the "hibernation" mode because it is lsow, it takes tens of seconds to the ready state. (it's faster than "full" windows startup, which takes the cca 1.5 minutes, but still slow). Maybe I need to configure something in the bios or elsewhere?

Thanks for the ideas...

Thank you for help but the manager upgrade of power has not helped me.

but I've partly solved the problem:

Disable in the bios "always on" usb port (for charging the mobile phone or mp3 player etc. via USB mode 'sleep'). and now the battery is empty after 2 or 3 days not hours (weird - I do not have any device on the usb port - so nothing is charged) and it's much better.

but I thought, it would be at least of the week

    Hello

Sorry, but I don't understand your problem. Can you please specify more? As far as I know if you want to change different profile you must use the FN + F2 key combination.

You can make individual settings for each mode in standby electricity by clicking details.

  • ASUS ME400CL battery quickly in mode drains standby connected

I have asus ME400CL tablet with LTE. It runs about 45% / 16hrs in connected mode ensures even in airplane mode. The only way to get to 5-6% energy consumption is to disable the usb host controller which modem is connected to in Device Manager. Asus technical support said that everything is fine and that he refuses to replace/repair defective modem/device.

I'm sure that this is not normal for a device to use much battery connected mode to standby. Is it still valid "systems that support."
"Connected pending MUST discharge less than 5% of the battery capacity system over a period of 16 hours idling in the default transmission configuration? The Tablet comes with win8 and I suppose it must meet the conditions. Any ideas how to prove to asus for this device does not work as expected?

I got my device replaced twice. The third argument works very well, so it was definitely a hardware problem. Software that affects as well, since I'm a big battery drain sometimes, especially after MS updates or is the result of a hung process. Restart fix for me. Regarding the single usb port, I use cable usb Y that allows me to plug in any usb device + charger at the same time.

  • Activate App stuck on waiting and power Mode low does ' t

    Hi all

I have at least two concurrent problems with my iPhone 6 + iOS 10.0.2 (but started with iOS 9).

I can't install new application directly from the App Store on the phone because they were stuck in the phase of "pending". Same behavior of update of the applications that are already installed.

The only way to update/install the app's iTunes download and synchronize.

The other simultaneous problem is in what regards the activation of "low power mode" with the rocker switch (settings > farm > Low Power). Whenever I try to activate (manual or automatic 20% of battery) function, the gray toggle becoming in the Middle, then return to the OFF position.

I already have backupped & restored several times, but nothing has changed.

    How can I solve this?

    Hello Axoduss,

Thanks for posting in the communities of Support from Apple. I see that you have two problems. One is that the low power Mode is not activated, and the other is that updates and new applications are blocked pending. I know that I rely on my iPhone for everything. It is important to ensure that it works as expected. I'll be more than happy to help.

Great job to the backup of your phone and restore. It's a great way to help solve these issues.

If you are restoring from a backup, the problem may be in the back upward. I recommend to reset the phone to factory settings and set up like new to see if the Mode low power and installing apps works. If this does not work after the installation in the new and not after the restoration then you want to restore your data manually and not market back. Here is an article on setting up the phone as new:

  • Low power mode will affect the performance of the camera?

I take my iPhone 6 on a trip backpack my camera. I intend to put the phone in airplane mode and I wonder if I should also set low power mode. If I put it in low power mode, it will reduce the performance of the camera?

I suggest that you test this configuration by yourself before you leave.

You can also consider taking the external battery back up like those manufactured by mophie.

  • low power mode is on but the battery is full

My Iphone 5 c run 9.3.1.  When I switch on the low power mode, it restricts my auto-lock to 30 seconds (it is grayed out).  The problem is with the low power mode on, my battery availability is 98% (appears in yellow), but the low power mode should be committed only to 20% or decrease of availability.  How do I fix it so low power does not come on until I get low on battery reserves?  Thank you!

No matter how much energy batttery you left, if you activate the Low Power mode, the indicator lights yellow. My iPhone 5s has 80% battery left and I turned on the low power and the yellow light.

I came up with a solution to your problem.  I accidentally clicked and turned on at high contrast.  When I clicked to stop, nothing has changed.  I went online to chat with a Microsoft representative online.  A man has remote controlled my computer to solve the problem.  I know what to do.  Go to your home page, then click Desktop.  Once you get to your office, to the RIGHT, CLICK on the screen.  A small box opens to the right of the needle.  Click CUSTOMIZE.  Then click on the theme of WINDOWS under the windows 3 default themes.  You must click on the one with the flower top.  Turn off you high contrast

  • Compaq Presario SR5710F upgrade the video upon hearing the motherboard cannot handle high power supp

What is the best graphics card upgrade which can my Compaq Presario SR5710F can support? I'm ready to upgrade the power also, but hear that the motherboard do not put anything above 350 watts regardless of power.

You can install any PCIe x 16 video card you want. The limiting factor is going to be the power supply. More power the longer video card POWER supply. About what you hear about the motherboard, I found nothing to that effect. To qoute request-leo,' I heard a matter of concern that a power high power can somehow 'forcing' the power on the computer, resulting in overheating and burnout. Nothing could be further from the truth. A power supply provides power in response to the need; It does not matter where power grow. If your computer only needs 100 watts, then a 500 Watt power supply will only provide 100 watts. Why have a 500 Watt power supply? For the use of 'pic' (sometimes material will require 'sudden' power, as at the beginning upward or under heavy load) and for future expansion. »

It is better to have too much power too littleand to get the right size. By that I mean the physical size - come in many standard sizes out there, and they are not interchangeable.

  • High power user, need help!

    Hello

I'm a long-time mac user, so even though I know how to use pc and windows OS am nowhere near as competent as you guys.

I am looking to buy a new laptop, but have high power requirements. I'm going to do a lot of 3d modeling & made as well as the use of photoshop files.

Can help guys point me in the direction of a computer good dell laptop. I'm not the biggest fan of the envelope of xps and would rather something of the dell precision range Sylvie that this is certainly not a decisive factor.

As mentioned that it will be used a lot so I need something that can really take what I throw at it.

An important factor will be what windows operating system to run with. I was not too impressed by what I've seen of Vista but do not know much. Should I try and run Windows xp or vista uped has it's game?

Screen size wise I don't mind past for 15.4 "instead of 17" as could always get an external monitor to sit with him.

    Help, please
