E260 problem

Hello guys!

SRY when I didn't want a similar position. I'm starting a new

My sansa e260 had a lot of problems the last few months. those with the firemware I could fix myself. But now I'm confused.

I'm a fanatic of music and my music need every morning on the train. The battery lives up to 3 days (whats normal for me).

During the night I put on an adapter and it load up, but I don't handle it again.

When I plug the drive in front of my computer nothing happens too. yesterday, I put the last updated music on it and before I slept in iput on the charger.

From one day to the next the entire battery and now it will not charge upward.

Can anyone help?

OK, I hope it comes as soon he can come xD

Thank you for helping me allthough

quick question for you people in the forum wonderful sandisk.

I have an old e260 who sat unused for about 4 1/2 years.  The thing still works like a champ, but the clock is super fast. I set the clock and hours later, it is about 20 to 30 minutes fast. What is the problem here? Can it be fixed?  I would like some info.

    Thank you

I have one that is the same way. No, it can't be fixed or adjusted.

  • pouches & ID tag with e260 problem

Can anyone help with these 2 problems:

Every album I put on the e260 has 1 album art, with a few albums, they are displayed with the other not? I changed the album art for another with a different size, but nothing works. The album art is in the right place, so I don't know how to solve this problem.

Second problem. I had an album that the e260 divided into 3 albums with the same name. 2 albums with just 1 song and the 3rd with the rest of the songs. I discovered he needed with identification labels, because on 1 label the name of the album was written poorly, so I changed the name of the album, but the problem continues. What can I do for all the song in this album are found in only 1 album on my e260. As far as I know has nothing to do with the mp3 licenses, so what it can be?

    Thank you very much!!!

I solved the problem of ID tag by changing the artist and the name of the album of all the songs with MP3tag. It must have been a space that I forgot because everything seemed the same. Thanks for helping me on this one!

The album art problem remains. The name does not matter because the albums on which the name appears art are all different. I tried to call it folder.jpg anyway, but no. Why so strange on some albums it works and others not. Any other suggestions? Thank you!

  • Problem loading of Sansa e260

Hello, I bought 2 Sansa e260 player of Tiger Direct in January. One as one gift, one for my son. We work very well, but the other will not charge. I now have the element of return.  Since he ordered last January, was referred by Tiger to Sansa support.

When plugged into the computer, it displays a battery icon green on the player, but when he unplugged everything just stops due to the insufficient battery charge.

What should I do to make this work? Can it be fixed?

The unit apparently has been renovated as well.

Well, if it is a re-furb, Technical Support SanDisk won't not be able to help you, other than what seems to indicate, you buy a new battery. They honor only the 1 year warranty on units of '' news. '' With re-furbs, you are left at the mercy of the dealer who sells it to you.

When it is plugged in, the lightning flashes, indicating that it is in charge? The problem may come from the battery... or it could be the charging circuit in the player. There is only one way to know, and that is to buy a new battery & try it.

You can find replacement on eBay or Amazon for shipping incl. batteries. $10 / $20.

Come to think of it, if you can lift the other away from your son for a while, you can replace the batteries in order to isolate the problem before spending money on a farm only to find the circuit load in the other player is fried. If you consider that it's the battery, then you can shop and buy a. If the player of your son is not load or feed the 'other' one, then you will know not not to waste your money on another farm. If this ends up being the case though, don't Chuck there still a lot of salvagable parts, you can use the reader to your son if you need them.

  • E260 Firmware update problems

I have a Sansa E260 with a possible screen failure. But before I'm six deep, I want to try and reinstall the firmware. Two questions. The first is what version should I? I thought that it was a version of R, but gives the version.txt and version.sdk both show

01.02.24A, so I guess it isn't a version a: second issue is how to get the unit in mode msc, without any orientation of the screen. I'm guessing that I'm not in msc mode. When I look in the windows directory, there is a subdirectory labeled PPI NAND. If I try to drag the .mi4 file or the ROM file to the root, I get a message that the file is not supported. And then a second pop up message indicates he's trying to copy in the subdirectory rather than the root (the copy does not place).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Found the solution to force the msc mode. See http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/197. The root files accepted and appeared the updated firmware (ie the files were no longer in the root with an eye after completion.) Unfortunately, the screen still has random pixels so the failure seems to be material.

  • E260 Version problem

I have an E260 that I can't recognize all my music, I have a c200 series and an e250 that works very well no clue.  When I sync the same songs at the c200 and e250 they work when I sync the songs to the 260 I get the message I need to sync for music subscription

You have a subscription service tracks on your e260. It may be an e260R (an e260 with a custom firmware Rhapsody and titles preloaded Rhapsody). Subscription tracks "expires" if they are not updated regularly.

  • massive problems with E260

Last night, I unplugged a refill and have been able to work and found it works not.  My scrolling ring turns on but the screen is black.  A support agent has accompanied me through an update firmware and reformatting.

and now.  My scrolling ring lights and I have a black screen. No, it will connect to the computer to all others then in recovery mode.

    Very frustrated at this point.

Any idea?  I went through pages and pages of messages of the forum and so far, everything seems to have been resolved with reformatting or firmware updates.   And this combination seems to have failed here.   So I give this thing for the dead?   I've had about a year and a half.

Could someone please give me a step by step market but what I should do?

I got into recovery mode (everything off, slide power on, connect it to the computer, have MB16 on my scrreen)

    OK now what?

  • Problem video v1 Rockbox e260 transfer!

    Hello world

I have a 4 GB sansa (v1 rockbox) and I would always convert mpg videos and drag them into the file of videos on my sansa.  But today, for some reason, it wouldn't let me not and acted as she did before I rockboxed it, saying that the unit only allows files to sansa converter.  Now I can't put videos above!

    Anyone know what to do?

    THX

Just a guess, make sure that USB mode is MSC.  If you recently updated the firmware for the Sansa (like me now), he changed the default to PSG.

  • Autonomy of the E260 v1

A new Member here. I bought

I bought an e260 several years ago and almost never used. He had been sitting in stock for at least 6 years and maybe more. I came across it yesterday while searching for something else and decided to see if it still worked. To my surprise, he had some battery charge. I loaded, an update of the firmware and played the tuner for the last 4 hours at max volume almost full-size headphones AKG sitting on my desk just to see how long last battery... The battery meter is barely passed. I am very surprised by this because I've never owned anything where a battery was as good as what is in this sansa.

With regular use, nobody knows what battery's longevity and can it be replaced when it goes wrong?

Use "Regular" is too subjective a term, but yes, the player has a battery replaceable by the user. Problem is finding one for this old of a player.

  • E260 v1 or v2?

Had a worm e260 2 for several years with no problems.  I want to take another but cannot find players of version 1.  Advantages and disadvantages please.

    Thank you

    Joe

The biggest difference is that the v2 are supported SDHC memory card format, which means that you can use to the maximum size of 32GB. The v1 support only SD, which is only up to 2 GB, unless you use 3rd - party Rockbox firmware.

Some say that sounds a little better v2 also, but it could be questionable. I would say that you would be lucky enough to find one of them these days, as they have ceased to exist for a few years now. Certainly, it will be virtually impossible to find a new one; most likely what you will find are re-furbs.

  • Sansa e260 MSC mode does not show my files

I never have problems with my player sansa until today. I just updated the firmware and now MSC mode does not work correctly. None of my files on the Sansa e260 player appear, do just the default values. However, everything is there when I go through my sansa player, but he does not appear in the player. No clue as to how I can solve this problem, so that the files that I have in my sansa player appear in the disc again? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The music on the e200 series folder is "hidden". Maybe that is. Change the settings in Windows to "show the hidden files and folders" and see if that helps.

  • Sansa e260 deleted my music files

I deleted my file containing all my music. The music is always on the piece. I can play and there is no problem with my drive, but I can't see the music files, once I have plug into my PC. I just drag-and - déposer edit my songs. can it be fixed?

    Is the 4G 2 = e260

Well, if you have deleted the music folder, why you expect to see the files?

Try changing the USB Mode in the settings. There are 3 modes, PSG, MSC and Auto. Do not use Auto. Manually select the MTP or MSC. Search for your files. So always invisible, switch to the other mode, they should be visible now. Your computer can only see the files when you are connected in the same mode in which they were transferred in, not the other.

Another little thing... on the e200, the music folder series (and others) are "hidden". You must set Windows to "Show the hidden files and folders" to see them.

  • problem with sansa clip 2 GB

for some resason, I bought a sansa clip mp3 player, when I add music, the songs are slow to play, I formatt, I have reset but it still does the same thing it slows down and I don't like that... is there a solution to this

I mean the song plays Slow isn't that it takes time to play or something... I have a sansa e260r. I sync music from windows media player right when im finished with the sansa clip to check if the problem is still there, the songs of the e260 is normall speed of the song, but the problem remains on the clip... it plays any song at slow speed

  • E260 v2 won't start - necessary recovery mode

My e260 v2 won't start.  After the logo screen, it says not "enough space for music DB.  Please free 90 MB' and stops quickly.  When I connect it to the computer, the computer recognizes it, but it does not appear in the Explorer.  Indeed, the Explorer crashes if the Sansa is connected.  Windows Media Player does not recognize it no more.

After reading this forum and other sources online, I thought that the solution to my problem was to go into recovery mode and reformatting.  However, it will not be in recovery mode.  After reading a bit more, I learned that models v2 is not recovery mode, but I have not found anyone mention what to do instead.  So, how can I reset my Sansa to the factory settings?

The "not enough space" error is most often related to a file corruption.  You will need to manually connect in MSC mode.  Step 1 of the solution includes details on that for you.

    Voila!  It's pretty simple.

  • Sansa e260 not recognized by Windows Media Player in MSC mode

    Hello

I have a problem. When I connect my Sansa e260 in my PC, Windows Media Player 12 will not recognize it. I can still see it in the computer, including the Micro SD card. When it's in MTP mode I can see it in WMP, but I don't see that micro SD. thing is I want to download some new songs on the Micro SD card that I can't see. I don't know if I can download songs on the player itself, because I don't have any space left there and I dare not remove anything where I won't be able to download stuff on him. I'm running on Windows 7. This problem occurred during the night. I change not all components, nor that I have installed all new programs. I also tried different USB ports, firmware reinstallation, trying even Rockbox.

That's about all. Any idea is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Set mode MSC, where the map stands as a separate disk. (MTP mode is for control via WMPlayer or Media Monkey).

Albums of drag - move around the map.
