  I have a Mac laptop and I would like your advice on how to organize the storage of files on internal and external drives and how optimizes it the backup plan.

  First of all, to the ExFAT is the problem, I suggest that the reader will just physically hurt.  ExFAT is perfectly acceptable as a format where Mac and PC can read/write.  You may have reacted a little leaving ExFAT for HFS, but you have made your choice and adapts to it.

  Here is how I operate my backups:

  I use CCC (CarbonCopyClone, $40, bombich.com).  It copies the boot sectors, drive, mapping, recovery Partition (these three are 'invisible' to DiskUtility for most) as well as system partitions and data records 'other'.  These other disks may be internal for clone-to-test-new-OSX in multi-disc systems or external for backup purposes.  The beauty is that you can start an external clone in a system crash, then CCC will be re - copy the active external clone on a new/fixed internal drive.

  Encryption isn't something I know, but... If only the content of the system partition and data is encrypted, it * could * be OK for clone-back to partition-as-encrypted partitions.  If you clone internal external the external partition is active and copy the 'encrypted plan', while small adjustments are made so that the race could be bad.  Copy of the files on my partitions unencrypted change interrupt because they are individual files.

  Do not use automatic synchronization. Choose for yourself what songs to put and where to put them.

Because of the limited number of channels without overlapping on the 2.4 GHz band a router running on 40 MHz basically use 2/3 of the total available on the entire 2.4 GHz band available bandwidth. The execution of 40 MHz in a neighborhood with many other access points is all just a terrible idea...

  The SG300, I have three ports of junction for the WAP321s because they carry VLAN 1 and VLAN 2. 25 on the switch port is a port of access for VLAN 2 since the guest network is served by its own router and WAN access. The main LAN and Wireless is on the 192.168.101.x network and the network of comments (including cable) is on 192.168.24.x.

  Wireless connection to the WAP321, obtain the appropriate IP addresses (DHCP is served by routers - both are RV042s). On the main network (101), I am able to ping, access to the network.   Eugene, I think the problem is with the AP.  This is a clear indication of the fact you are wired in and have no problems.

  One thing that may be a scenario is external causes. Your computer is exclusively wireless or you have tested while wired + wireless? Have you tried with a second computer is wireless only?

  If you use a computer (s) strictly wireless, the problem is with the AP and can be somehow "mask" the network devices either.

  I know things like characteristic of guest network and captive portal has some mechanisms of protection because it is not about the guest to access the network devices. How is the configured access point? Everything just with 2 SSID and a username/password?
