E4200 restarts whenever I'm using AirPlay between 5 GHz mode to Airport Express MBP 2.4 GHz mode

I just confirmed that whenever I try to listen to music from my MacBook Pro (iTunes), which is connected to my wireless network using the 5 GHz mode (the channel width is Auto, channel: Auto (DFS)) to a couple Airport Express cubes are connected via the 2.4 GHz WiFi (channel width: Auto, channel: 10) the E4200 router restarts.  When I put the MBP for use the 2.4 GHz I can listen to music without causing the E4200 to restart.  The E4200 is the firmware 1.0.03 running.

Connect to the web interface of the router. Under "application and gaming tab", click the sub-tab "QoS" and deselect "support WMM.

In other words, for the Express deliver audio analog, connect a standard stereo mini plug with connectors appropriate to the other end.  To ensure that the Express deliver audio digital, plug a mini Toslink cable to the audio port on Terminal AirPort Express.  An example is in this link... • Can I use Airplay with an Airport Express station and a MacBook Air without going through a WAN connection?

I want to set up my MacBook Air and an Airport Express so I can use iTunes and AirPlay to connect wireless to the AirPort Express Terminal and connected powered speakers to listen to the music in my iTunes library. Is this possible? I don't want to connect to an existing wireless network to do this. I want that this configuration to work wherever I am regardless of the availability of an existing WiFi network. I want a direct wireless connection between the MacBook Air and the Airport Express. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks for your help in a confusing question.

    Yes, it will work.

You must configure the Express in router mode... the EXTENDED network of the give a static IP address and ignore the problems. You will get several questions... because the network is internet-facing. They can all be ignored... This is how it is.

You can also use a static IP configuration. I use this on a TC, but the same configuration on an Express might work better than router. It can be a delicate touch of the installation. So after some screenshots if you are having problems.

  • HD streams using AirPlay does not work

    Hello

For the last year I have spread my ipad on my apple 3rd tv HD content generation and everything is fine.

I recently bought apple tv 4th generation and now I can't stream the HD content, only the SD content.

When I try to broadcast HD to the apple TV 4 channel, the picture of freezes after a few seconds and only the audio continues.

Even HD content still works fine on apple tv 3, but not on 4.

No idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Thank you!

Hello. I assume you are using AirPlay of base (not mirroring) to stream content from a Web server. The new ATV 4 there exactly the same internet connection as ATV 3? In particular, it uses the same RAM DNS, VPN, etc. ?

  • There seems to be a display problem. Please check that your monitor is HDCP and is not mirrored by using Airplay.

There seems to be a display problem. Please check that your monitor is HDCP and is not mirrored by using Airplay.

Apparently, you're trying to use AirPlay to display content that is protected in a way that not only allows the copy.

  • Subtitles not streaming on Apple TV when you use airplay

So, when I watch videos/movies with subtitles on my iPad, all right. But as soon as I use the function airplay, the video and audio come up on my screen TV perfectly, but the subtitles do not display on the screen like how they do normally on my iPad. Does anyone know the solution to this? I turned on subtitles by going to settings > general > accessibility, but that did nothing. I also held select down, but the message I got was 'the subtitles are not available for that content. Why am I able to see the subtitles when you look at the iPad, normally, but not when you use airplay?

You use AirPlay base or put you in the mirror.

  • Playback Choppy/stuttering using airplay

I've recently upgraded to fiber of sky. Download speed is 16 Mbit/s.

I am listening to something from my iPhone to the TV via AirPlay. When I play just on the phone, the quality is perfect. But when I use AirPlay on tv playback is jerky and stutters every two seconds.

Thus, because it diffuses very well directly on the iPhone I think that there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. But there must be a problem with how things are going on television.

I googled and many people have said that WMM disabled in the router has solved this kind of question. But it does not resemble sky allow access to this parameter on the hub of the sky.

I'm stuck. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I assume you are using normal AirPlay, no mirroring the screen. When you AirPlay the video player on your iPhone goes gray, said "this video plays on Apple TV". If this is the case, the URL of the video is handed over to ATV, which streams then directly from the server. So the problem is the speed of download from the server of ATV. Maybe that's a problem with the DNS setting. ATV uses the same DNS as the phone? Normally, this should be the DNS of the internet provider.

If it's a mountain BIKE 4, you can download a test of speed for the quads application and test it directly.

If the ATV is in WiFi, you can try to not WPA, WPA2-AES (CCMP), no TKIP, on the router. This should give a more reliable and faster connection.

In addition, use a 5 GHz network, if possible, to reduce interference from other networks.

  • Using airplay on airport express with wired connections

    Hello world

I think in a very special configuration and I was wondering if it would work or not.

I have a Linksys router with 802.11ac ability now. I wish I had a pregnant airplay on my network, so I thought buy a used Airport express, connect the speakers to it and plug the Airport express via a LAN cable to the linksys router. I also think to turn off wifi on the Airport express so it does not disturb my 802.11ac network.

So the question is: is it possible to have the airport base station to connect to my router Linksys on LAN and airplay works this way on the Linksys WiFi network?

    Thank you

    Zoltan

In theory, it works... but you will have to set up the AirPort Express to create a wireless first, then go back and turn off the wireless feature.

Ensure that the Express is a common pattern of A1392, or the previous version of A1264. Much A1084 most, it's not what you want.

  • Using AirPort Express to stream audio to multiple AirPlay speakers?

I'm looking to create a room without the need of a receiver wireless.  We have several AirPlay speakers allowed in our room, and I'm looking for a way to audio stream of my Apple TV of new generation for stakeholders.  Article I found online alluded to the idea that this can be accomplished by using an AirPort Express station.  I have a burning question, relating to the installation in the article I found:

Several allowed AirPlay speakers are connected to the same network (or dedicated) set up on an AirPort Express in client mode (or the appropriate for AirPlay)

I select this AirPort Express Terminal as a source alternative speaker on Apple TV

What is going on?  Do all connected then AirPlay speakers receive the audio signal?  I sincerely do not find this anywhere online.  Apple's technical support was not able to answer this question.

I have an Airport express.  I forward my iPhone airplay and the express has a plug audio mini that connects to my receiver, which in turn divides and distributes the audio channels to the appropriate speakers.

He cannot receive and transmit audio to multiple airplay speakers.

You can via a Mac however simultaneously transmit audio to multiple airplay speakers.

This isn't something that Apple TV is capable.

Finally do not know what you are trying to accomplish, but transmitting the same audio for all stakeholders would accomplish not something like Dolby 5.1 sound surround.  In the case of different sounds are directed towards the various stakeholders and that separation and management are performed by the receiver.

  • Is it possible to use the AirPort Express to AirPlay only? (Wireless)

    Hello

I have a speaker and I would empower AirPlay for it. I have an old airport express here in my house and I wanted to plug my express from the airport to my wireless network and allow the airplay.

The only thing I don't want to not remove is the possibility to extend the wireless network, because I'm pretty sure it will do more bad then good, since I was a big of AC very close to the speaker wireless router. (http://www.asus.com/us/Networking/RT-AC5300)

Is it possible to use the Airport express only airplay? Without trying to extend my network?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards

    Tiago

Yes, if you have the main router near the speakers... then simply plug the Express into the enclosure of the ethernet... Run it in Bridge mode and turn off wireless... Then check if you can find it in iTunes etc to send the stream of airtime.

Or you can configure it to join a wireless network... it will not extend... Apple call it client mode.

    Hey guys,.

I was just trying to understand how to use my tv as a second monitor to run different applications on fullscreen, as an application on my mac and the other on the TV.

I tried to 'use as a separate display option' of the airplay button, it doesn't seem to help.

Appreciate if someone could help me with that.

    > for example,.

I want to facetime runs in full screen mode on my apple tv, at the same time, I use pages, however I don't want pages is displayed on my tv screen.

I know its possible, but I don't know how I have to happen.

When you use AirPlay to Apple TV, open system-> Display Preferences. Clear the option to mirror the views.
