EA3500 unable to connect USB printer

I'm unable to connect to a printer using the USB port on my new Linksys EA3500 router.

I followed the instructions here: Support Page , but my version of Cisco Connect not not the option "connect a USB printer»

I'm on a macbook pro OSX 10.7.4 and my version of Cisco Connect is 1.4 (12005.2). Version of the firmware on my router is 1.0.30.126544. A screenshot of what I see after having clicked on "Add a device" in Cisco Connect is below. The printer is a HP DeskJet F4280.

Please notify.

Thank you.

I began to question my purchase of this router, as it was rather costly unitl a mod contacted me and asked me to try to update my firmware again. This time, there was an update available installed tonight firmware Cisco Connect Cloud (version 1.1.38.138143) that I was able to connect my USB printer. I know that this sounds like a commercial of Cisco, but the Cloud Connect software and interface is amazing! It's a management tool complete recommended router on the web making it pretty useless old Cisco Connect.  Cisco thank you, I am happy that I now have a refreshed and awesome router! (which printed on my printer usb too)

    Hello

With Docking Station, you can connect all the cables for printer, keyboard and mouse, adapter directly to the charging station.

So whenever you use a laptop, you have just dock the laptop on the docking station and not need to re connect all cables again.

This will help you when you move frequently with the laptop.

Docking station will save your time, outside any other aspect, that it has to offer.

I think if the VUSB Installer runs through without any problems then you shouldn't have this problem.  I think it would be useful to disable the firewall or any internet security on your computer for the installation to be successful. Do try this and post back here for no results.

  • Connect USB printer to E4200

    Hello

I think I discovered that you cannot currently connect a usb printer to the usb port on the e4200 to share it on the network.

However I have heard that this could be facilitated reports may be activated in the spring.

I've also heard of "virtual usb", but I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Anyone can shed some light on this?

Receive word of USB print support will build on the next firmware update. Until then, we'll just have to wait.

  • Unable to connect USB key

I've recently updated to 2.2 view Horizon and I'm unable to connect a USB to the client workstations.  The command I run at startup is:

    "c:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\VMware Horizon view Client\VMware - view.exe - connectUSBOnStartup true - connectUSBOnInsert true - name of domain mydomain - serverURL . https://VDI.mydomain.org

All works except the USB 2 options.  What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

Yes, it was a stupid mistake on my part.  I forgot to include the USB redirection when you install the client from the view of the Horizon.  I have a task sequence in SCCM 2012 that installs the Windows 8.1 base image, copy the installation in c: drive file and then running the install command.  I've included the option USB redirection, so now the command looks like this:

    C:\VMware-horizon-View-client-x86_64-2.2.--1404668.exe /s /v /qn INSTALLDIR = "% (x 86) ProgramFiles% %\VMware\VMware Horizon view Client" REBOOT = ReallySuppress VDM_SERVER = vdi.mydomain.com DESKTOP_SHORTCUT = 0 QUICKLAUNCH_SHORTCUT = 0 STARTMENU_SHORTCUT = 1 ADDLOCAL = Core, USB/l C:\vmsi.log

Also part of my task sequence SCCM, for those of you interested, is the creation of a generic local user account and I'm getting a local administrator.  I have a .reg file that makes this car to user log when the computer starts and the will of computer auto start the client from the view.  In this way, all the bishoprics of the end-user is the window to view customer logon and they just have to go in there Active Directory username and password.

  • New HP Pavilion g series only prints blank pages connected USB printer HP C309a

Just bought a HP Pavillion G Notebook PC series. It is connected to a HP Photosmart Premium C309a printer with a USB cable.  The printer will print diagnostic tests and test if launched pages from the printer, but when a print job is sent from the computer, it debits and grinds and finally spits out a blank sheet of paper.  Sometimes looks like it is the impression of advancing the sheet of paper, one line at a time - but ultimately, it is always empty.  He seems satisfied with his results because it sounds to say she did it - doing nothing (just a little humor).  Any idea would be appreciated.

    Hi @Aardvark1,.
    Thanks for your reply,
I tried many things before posting, as well as turn off and restart the nexus 5 or disconnect from the network.
I try to connect to the integrated Web server, I didn't know that it was possible to see the printer through the browser...
But the problem is finally solved, when as one Hail Mary after resetting on all around me, I restarted the router. Since the Nexus 5 recognizes and connects to the printer without problem what so ever :-)
    Thanks for your help,

    Hey @dbot,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that you have some problems with the printer all-in-one Deskjet 3050 connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

First of all, we will restore the default values of network on the printer. To do:

Remove the USB cable to the back of the printer.

On the printer, press the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

Click on the white button next to settings.
Click on the white button next to default settings.

If there is a screen asking you to confirm, then press the white button next Yes. Blue wireless light should turn off.

Now on your PC we will uninstall all software associated with the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Once installation is complete, you should have the printer connected to your wireless network.

Please let me know if this solves your problem or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great weekend!

If this solves your problem then please help others to find this post by clicking on accept as Solution on my post.

  • Unable to connect my printer (HP Deskjet 3052 a) wireless

    original title: wireless printer

Purchase a printer HP Deskjet 3052 has and can't get my Toshiba Satellite phone so he could work. Will not work using the USB cable or wireless. Any Advisor. Downloaded the software and also used my cd, but the computer shows it's there, but when I go to print said I need to select the printer. When I do it does not help because it does not find.

You have perhaps confused things by trying to connect with the USB connection or wireless.

Subsequently, I guess you have a wireless router.  What is the make and model?
Or are you simply trying to connect wireless to the printer WITHOUT a wireless connection between your computer and the Internet (i.e. without a wireless router)?

If you click Start > devices and printers, do you (a) see an icon for the Deskjet printer, (b) see two icons for the Deskjet printer or (c) not see some icons for the Deskjet printer?

Assuming that the answer is (a), right-click on the icon, select "Printer properties" and click on the "Ports" tab

By ensuring NOT to click in the list of ports, use the scroll bar on the right side so that you can see the line with the box checked.  What he does say to the title of 'Port' and 'Description'?  You will have to perhaps to click and drag on the low vertical line in the header (between the word 'Port' and 'Description') in order to make the column wide enough to view the entire entry).  Click Cancel to exit the printer properties dialog box.

    Now, go to the printer.
    Print a Network Setup page:

    1. Press the wireless button to display the wireless Menu.
    2. In the wireless Menu, select print reports.
    3. Printing reports, select the menu Configuration.

What is reported as the IP address of the printer?

You can also print the wireless network test report:

    1. Press the wireless button to display the wireless Menu.
    2. In the wireless Menu, select print reports.
    3. In the printing of reports, select Test Wireless.

The manual of your printer is not an example of these two reports, so I'm not sure what will be included.  On one or the other (if there are not two), it should show the name of your wireless network.  T it?

  • connection usb print 5550

Hello, I buy an adapter for my hp DJ 5550 usb and I can not print, the computer does not recognize my printer with

Adapter usb to Windows 8. I tried different driver and nothing printing. Any idea on this?

    Thank you

    Hello

Why do you buy an adapter to connect? The printer has USB port already. The printer cannot print probably due to no Windows 8 driver for it. Maybe time to buy a new printer.

    Kind regards.

  • connectivity usb printer

Now, I have this problem for about 3 months. The printer has been what I would call uninstall itself. I would like a review on the desk of new hardware detected... Wow I would say that I don't remember all the new items and it looks like officejet series and so on... so then I put in the disk and continue. This would happen again for a while and then again he would do exactly the same thing and I would like to reinstall the disc and continue again. Can you help me on what could happen and how to fix it?

I don't know what you mean by "Noting found new hardware on the desktop."

If you are referring to the pop-up "found new Hardware Wizard", see if this applies to you: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298370
