EA6500 ping <>5.0 GHz 2.4 GHz wifi?

How to ping at 2.4 GHz WiFi from the 5.0 GHz WiFI devices devices?

Switch EA6500 WiFI, I have a few on 5.0 GHz and other devices on 2.4 GHz wifi.

PC WiFi 5.0 GHz have access to the internet (such as PCs on 2.4 GHz WiFi), but they do not have ping PCs on2.4GHz wifi access.

Where can I put the rights to allow teas through ping between 2.4 and 5.0 GHz wifi?

I checked the version of remotely with web interface: OK, last.
The default SSID for network wifi band 2 is the same.
After modification, two SSID, now different,.
Everything is OK;
cryptokeys have different value for each band of netwotk.

  • Can't see the devices connected to 2.4 GHz WiFi

I recently bought and set up a R6220-100NAS Netgear with the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi signals available less than a month ago and updated to the latest firmware, when I ran my initial installation (although I don't know which version it is). I have 1 PC connected to my router and other devices (including my printer) are connected wireless.

Since the installation of this new router, I noticed that I cannot print on my Canon PIXMA MX892. I was not able to solve this problem, as much as I would like, but so far, I've been able to determine that the printer is only able to connect to my network of 2.4 GHz, and I can't ping from my PC (ping to the IP address response comes back under the name of "unreachable" as opposed to the typical error "request Ping" can't find host).

I tried ping my Smartphone when it is connected to the 5 GHz WiFi band and had no problems. When I spent my smart phone to the band of 2.4 GHz and ping its IP once again, I got the same message "inaccessible".

Some tips on how I can still fix this and restore my print capabilities?

Problem solved. I did a factory reset on the router (and manual reconfiguration) and I can now print and ping on two WiFi networks devices successfully. Looking at the configuration settings that I saved before the reset, it looks like isolation wireless has been activated for the 2.4 GHz WiFi network. It was set to '1' in the .cfg file.

It was my suspicion from the beginning, but I couldn't find the setting in the router installation options.

  • Pavilion 17-ab077nz: 5 GHz WiFi only?

New laptops (sold in Switzerland, insofar as this matter) speak 5 GHz WiFi only? I'm looking for a new laptop. 802.11ac works that in the band 5 ghz but 802.11ac compatible radios will return to 802.11n and if 2.4 ghz 5 ghz is not available.

  • Apple TV (4th gen) faster with 5 GHz WiFi with the ethernet cable

When my Apple TV is connected to my network via 5 GHz WiFi it gives me a faster speed (about 120 Mbps) connections it makes when I plugged it on my network (about 45 Mbps) ethernet cable.  Why is this?  I thought that the ethernet would give me the fastest connection possible.

The ethernet port on all ATVS (including the 4th generation) is only 100 Mbit/s. The actual speed depends on the quality of your network as the routers, switches and cables components and of course it depends on the length of your ethernet cable and if it is damaged in any way (folded or crushed). And finally, that depends on how fast you have actually measured, on your local network speed, or speed on your WAN.

  • 5 GHz WiFi on E2500 has stopped working

I had my E2500 with 2.4 and 5 Ghz WiFis with different names, works very well for months until yesterday 5 GHz WiFi stop working and I got my PC back to 2.4 ghz. When I go to the page of the router-> status-> wireless networks in the 5 GHz network shows an empty address, channel by n/a and the width of the channel by n/a, while 2.4 has fill out them correctly. I tried using different settings for WiFi, but nothing has worked. I also tried resetting the device and update the firmware. How can I know that the 5 GHz interface is not faulty and the cause of the problem?

I found a solution to my problem: I came back the firmware to the previous version (I had upgraded to the latest version 2.0 front) and now the radio works fine. It seems that the firmware has not been properly tested.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi all

I have HP ENVY 4 1043cl model which has wifi Intel Centrino 2230. According to the maintanance user guide - this laptop supports only 2.4 Ghz wifi.

I could replace my card by another wireless (which is not leasted in the user guide) that supports wifi 5 ghz? For example, Intel® Centrino® Advanced - N 6235 Wi - Fi and Bluetooth?

  • 5 GHz WiFi card update - Compaq Presario

I just got a new router today and found out that it is a double router broadband and supports the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. I was wondering if I could update my existing WiFi card that supports only the 2.4 GHz and get one that will take in charge the 5 GHz band. Also if I have a 5 GHz WiFi card in my laptop can still connect to networks that support 2.4 GHz only? How much would cost a new card? And finally, if I can improve my card, how I put in my laptop?

    Data sheet:

    Model: Compaq Presario CQ57-33WM

OS: upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro

Memory: Updated 6 GB of RAM

Hard drive: 320 GB 5400 RPM

Processor: FSB of 1333 MHz 1.50 GHz Intel Celeron processor B800

    Network cards:

    Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

(A lot of WAN Miniports is also listed in Device Manager)

Can I still switch my wireless card based on these specifications? It would be difficult to change? Let me know if you need more information on the computer.

Also, if it ends up that I can't change my card or it is really hard to change, could use something like this as a last resort? Double USB adapter wireless broadband

    Hello

According to the service manual this lappy does not support 5 GHz wireless cards. Most recent computers based Intel Mobile (Ivy Bridge and higher) support the latest maps wireless Intel including the last 7260AC one. Your laptop is older, so I can't say with certainty what will work or not. In this case I suggest to get some usb adapters wireless such as that of your link or one of them:

  • 5 GHz Wifi unstable

I recently bought a HP 15 Omen, running Windows 8.  Everything was fine until two days ago, when my 5 GHz wifi disappeared (I can always connect to the 2.4 GHz network, but it is considerably slower).  After Googling for answers, I went into

    Device management->

    Network cards->

    Intel (r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260->

    Properties.

In properties, advanced, I changed the value of 802.11n for 5.2 GHz channel width... from Auto to 20 MHz only.

So he resolved the problem, for about 30 minutes, then the 5 GHz network have abandoned once again and then reappeared after a few seconds.  And now it disappears at random, usually around five to six times a day.

It is not a major problem that I can work around it, but it becomes a big trouble.  I would be grateful for any help anyone can give.

The 5 GHz channel has a range that is much shorter than the 2.4 GHz due to its higher frequency channel. When your network is de-energized, you may even be unable to reconnect.

To isolate the problem, you can check if another device of 5 GHz is the same problem as your PC. If Yes, then you need to downgrade to 2.4 GHz channel, or consider expanding your signal with a Repeater.

  • 5 Ghz WiFi 802.11n support

I'm considering the purchase of HP Pavilion dv7-6056, HP Envy 17-2000 or HP Envy 17-2050. But I understand that all of these PCs have 5 GHz WiFi (802.11n) support. I see other HP have the ability to change the WiFi card. Is there WiFi cards with 5 GHz support available for these models?

  • iPhone 5 only connects very well with 5 Ghz Wifi

    Hi all

After trying Beta iOS10 I 'come back' iOS9 and I discovered that my iPhone 5 will not connect very well to 2 .4GHz wireless networks. The problem is that the iPhone or do access or has a very poor connectivity, so that I can use this wifi perfectly with my iPad or Macbook.

However this iPhone connects perfectly to Wifi 5 GHz networks and works as it should.

I tried to reset, restore the default values, reinstall iOS... any suggestions?

    Hello iovin80,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know having a problem connecting to the Wi - Fi on your iPhone, it's not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you cannot connect to the network 2.4 GHz Wi - Fi, but the 5 GHz channel works very well. I suggest to test it on another Wi - Fi network to see if the problem is resolved. You should also check the recommended settings to avoid any interference in the present statutes:

    Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer is to try the latest driver directly from Mediatek (Ralink).

I had the same problem with the USB dual band Ralink wireless adapter.

He showed only the 2.4 GHz band, and I knew it was a dual-band card.

My first conclusion is that the adapter was defective and only 2.4 GHz radio worked.

I searched on the internet about the adapter model and found that someone suggested to install the latest driver for Ralink for it that has indeed brought the 5.0 Ghz band to life.

Don't say this is absolutely going to work for you, but you have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

  • C850 satellite will not connect at 5 GHz WiFi

My Satellite C850 found network 2.4 GHz Wireless and connected flawlessly. However, it is not 'see' the 5 GHz network, even if the router is in the same room and about 2 meters from the hotel. I have a problem, or in this laptop's wireless adapter will not connect to this speed? Any help appreciated, please

    Hello

I think that the reason why your portable computer does not see the 5 GHz Wlan is simply.
The wireless network card does not seem to bear the 5 GHz.
The WLAN standard 802. 11A supports 5 GHz

If the wireless network adapter supports 802.11 B / G and N or 802.11 G and N, then only 2.4 Ghz are supported.

    Hello

I don't have a number, but at least 50% of all devices in this world still use 2.4 GHz to connect to WiFi. They may still be around a few years (even several new devices on the market now still use 2.4 GHz) so the simple solution is to allow your router to broadcst the TWO band (double): 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz.

    Kind regards.

    Hey @dmg1 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that looking for information on upgrading the adapter wireless in your laptop.

The adapter is not plug and play. There is a chance that after the installation of the adapter, Windows will automatically install the drivers if there is a compatible driver available.

In most cases, it is best to download the drivers directly from HP or Intel, although Windows automatically installs. You can download the drivers from HP here: Intel Wireless drivers for Microsoft Windows.

You can buy the adapter directly from HP website the HP part Surfer , or from somewhere like Amazon or eBay. It's as simple as looking for the part number on one of these sites.

I hope these are the answers you are looking for.
