• After installation of the parental control my Start Menu will not open

  I have recently installed Windows live family safety on my computer.   You can restore the start menu original, default settings.

  1. open properties of the Start Menu by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, then clicking on the taskbar and Start Menuand the taskbar.

  2. click on the tab Start Menu and then click Customize.

  3. in the Customize the Start Menu dialog box, click use the default settings, and then click OK.

  If this does not work, you can create a new user account and see if it helps.

  1. open user accounts by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click user accounts and family safety (or by clicking on user accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking user accounts.

  2. click on Manage another account. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  3. click on create a new account.

  4 type the name that you want to assign to the user account, click an account type, and then click create an account.

  If it works you can copy files to the new user profile.

  Hi, I hope you can help me... My missing desktop icons with hotbar after a reboot, but the text is there and programs can still be opened. Thus, my Dowes does not open. Any idea how this can be? I ran Antivirus and malware programs already tried rebooting several times, by clicking on the desktop and then 'show icons', Ive tried everything... Also, in my "guest" all account works well, which leads me to believe there is a problem with explorer.exe.

  It seems that I can never leave this group, but a big thank you to those who have this us far.
  
  I recently recovered our Database 9i Windows XP. I was able initially to open and access the database via sql and enterprise manager. However after a reboot I can more open, if I can get. Trying to open it, I get ORA 01092, terminated, Oracle instance forced disconnection.
  
  I checked that:
  
  (1) the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files all have the same HOST entry (although in listener status below, I see several values, I don't know if this is related to this problem. I also note that the State of our database is listed as "unknown" in the status of the listener. When I was able to connect through the company manager she also initially reported the same thing.)
  (2) a the ORACLE_SID value = < SID >.
  (3) there aren't any errors reported in/RDBMS/TRACE/alert_ < sid >. Newspaper. They go elsewhere?
  (4) I am able to tnsping our SID.
  (5) in respect of the Services, there is a < sid > OracleService which is started and set to start at startup.

  Eventually the database was actually 9.0.1.x and NOT 9.2.0.1

  Since you're using 9.2.0.1 you will need to 'upgrade' to 9.0.1.x to 9.2.0.1
