  It is as it's supposed to as an anti theft precautions. I mean that data is encrypted, if somebody stole your hard drive and the hard drive boots and the other account it can receive data.

  If you not export recovery certificates and encrypting the data, you cannot redo the decryption.

  Hello DJSZCZEP.  I understand you are having some problems with control of the brightness of your laptop in Windows 8.

  HP is still drivers for the update for Windows 8.   Most laptops that have been purchased after October 1, 2011 must be supported at the time.  Here a link to more information on the upgrade to Windows 8 and HP.

  The support page for your laptop does not currently listed drivers for Windows 8.  This does not mean that Windows 8 does not work on your laptop.  This simply means that some features and functions may not be available. Advanced features like the brightness control can be handled by the driver itself and require a complete driver for features.  Your the tender specifications lists the video card like the ATI Radeon 6850 M.  Here are the drivers for the 64-bit version of Windows 8.  Try using these drivers and tell me if this solves the problem.

  Keep an eye on the support page of your product for updates, including drivers for Windows 8.  I hope it's useful.

  In this case, unless you already have it, download and install the Chipset driver from the link below.

  Once completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, you can then download and install the original AMD from following link driver.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp64501-65000/sp64573.exe

  After the installation is complete, restart the computer again.

  After the last Notebook HP system BIOS updated (version F.35Ap1), brightness (fn2 and fn3) keys are no longer works and the brightness is stuck at 100%, although under the battery in the taskbar icon, it says 0% and I can't change that.   Here's what I already tried in vain: the graphics card is set to Intel Graphics 520 and I've updated it. I put it Microsoft base adapter screen but it does not work.   I could solve the problem. I had to download the lates graphics driver from the HP Web site directly. For some reason that this new driver is not in the HP Support Assistant updates.

  Hello, I recently bought a laptop HP 250 G2 without OS (freedos)

  After you have installed windows 7 Home premium x 64 I went to the web page of the HP support and downloaded all the drivers, install them and everything seems to work without problems.

  The only problem is that the HP support page does not all the drivers for the keyboard and the result is that all the FN buttons are non-functional.

  In Device Manager the keyboard is displayed normally because Windows 7 automatically installs the drivers, but these aren't 100% compatible so that the FN keys would work.

  Please, it is very important to be mean use only FN keys so that I can change the brightness, sound level and tun works / stop wifi.

  When I opened my laptop E545 after sleeping, I find that the brightness shortcut keys do not work (like other keys, volume, work). Only after the deactivation and reactivation of my graphic card or by restarting the computer entirely, brightness shortcut keys work again. I see that there is an update of the BIOS but not sure it will solve my problem (or if it could create other problems worse than uptight brightness).
