Easier manufacturing import?

I searched this forum in several ways and can't seem to find the answers I need. Probably there is here and I'm not holding my mouth right

I am a recent emigrant from Apertueville, so I'm still learning, "The way a true Lightroom." (Side, as a professional user of these two programs, I have to say that they are pretty much equivalent.) Each has strengths or weakness that the other has. Among the surprisingly inaccurate ducks is that LR is categorically faster than the AP. With sufficiently powerful hardware, I find much slower LR for some operations).

Question 1: I searched help online and cannot find a way to stop ejecting the card after importation of LR. Most of the time I'll have some photos that belong to several categories / different metadata. Example: I shoot sports (among others) HS for the local newspaper. Now, softball and baseball are played at the same time the same day. So I'm running back between the ranges of each game pieces. Types of photo will be interspersed. At the end of a doubleheader, I have pictures of ~ 1 K. Obviously a very large part of them are throwing a ways. I go to import and step through the inflow (into the expanded view) making the first brutal cut. Probably 80% + are never imported. When I click on import, LR does its thing and when you're done announcement that the card has been ejected. It is a real pain as I then remove the drive CF card, reinsert, wait that the systΦme can recognize the card and start over. This leads to the second question.

Question 2: Modification and manipulation of metadata. AP was entitled to metadata Panel layout in the import process implemented. The only way I found to change metadata in LR is go to the 'Apply Durng Import' Panel, click on the list of metadata by selecting 'Edit Presets' which leads to the top of the window of metadata custom selected. I then need to select whatever the preset I have (in this case he is a HS sports preset), make the necessary changes, save it and after you set up the file name correctly start the import. Because I'm always on time, that seems really slow and heavy. Also, if I forgot to change the preset next time, I find myself with errors in the metadata. Simple example. If the game is played say Baboquivari rather that it should be noted in Image IPTC and status Tohono o ' O'odham. (Believe me, the people in these two places would not appreciate being called the wrong thing.) There is perhaps a plugin that modifies, facilitates this process as the standard process of LR (at least I understand it now) is quite inefficient.

I have other things that I have not worked on, but these two are cost me some time.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Robert

(1) see here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4710792

(2) you can have as 'sport presets' as you want, either one for each team you cover. Name them in a descriptive manner, so that you know what are the components.

But maybe that's not necessary:

Once the import is complete, the imported images are displayed in the grid. If they don't click on in the catalog Panel.

Now, when all the images are displayed in the grid, press Ctrl / Cmd + A (letter A on your keyboard) to select all images. On the right side in the Panel, then you can enter the keywords that apply to all selected images. Further down in the Panel you can enter a title and a legend that will apply to all selected images.

  • VBAI Import Export of measurement steps

    Hello

We use VBAI 2011 and we want to go through the stages of inspection of an application to another. Is it possible to export and import a step in the vision that we can move these modules/steps/States to another application?

Currently, to rewrite the modules when we want to use the in another adjustable program

    Thanks in advance

    Oliver

If you right-click the state diagram (where States/transitions are), there is an option to 'import control. You can currently only the inspection full import, but it is not difficult to remove the States you don't need (assuming it is not huge). If you plan to reuse a common block of States/steps, you could save this excerpt off the coast because it is own inspection and then it will make it easier to import inspections in the future.

    Hope this helps,

  • How can I import playlists in Windows Media Player in XP to my new Windows 7 computer?

I found and preserved from the old machine to xp, WMP Playlist files. How to import them into the new W-7 machine Pro? I have several long reading lists and rebuild seems them such a waste of time... I think that the playlists can simply be transferred.

The files are PLAYLIST. CDX; READING LIST. DBF; READING LIST. FPT; and playlist.dat. (I think). They were previously under Documents and Settings Application Data etc in XP. Is there a place in W7 I can stick and I WMP to recognize them? Is it really that simple?

You will not be able to use if the files are not in the same exact spot. If you had backed up your computer running Windows XP by using Windows Easy Transfer, your personal files (music - playlist, docs, pictures, photos, and contacts) was saved and be much easier to import and maintain. • The unit 4.2.1 and call Manager Import/Export

Is their way to export all the info of config CH and import it into another system of the unit? I have many servers of the unit who have pretty much the same configuration of AA and it would be much easier to import CH configuration on each server. Thank you.

No, it's not an import/export tool just for managers. You can use DiRT to backup/import configurations all - some dealers make a backup of dirt of a generic facility with many managers to call for the configuration of audio text, but not (other than the default example admin) subscribers and then restore a dirt on new facilities in the area such as their General Manager configurations are present out of the box - this may work for you but is not a 'import' - it replaces the base the entire local system data, it adds not just call handlers to the existing combination.

  • How to import a table of excel data in my site with DW CC?

    Hello!

Im trying to insert a table of Excel data in my site, but when I do, the information are delivered with a large number of dirty codes making my Dreamweaver CC accident...

I'm using File - Import - tabular data.

    Thank you

    Maria

If you get a lot of formatting and garbage of Excel who causes an accident, you can first save your file as a delimited file and which allows to import into Dreamweaver using the same steps as import it tabular data. These files are much cleaner and easier to import.

  • Lightroom brings names of files with importing Photos?

I asked a question yesterday and he said (thank you, the answer was very helpful) but I do not know how to find the question once again. Here's my new question. I exported all my pictures from PICTURES in a folder on the desktop as suggested. I have to spend time organizing these photo in the configuration of the album I used? Or does even Lightroom take this information? I don't want to spend hours to reorganize on my desk just to have to do the same in Lightroom. Maybe its just and easier to import as a piece of photos create games collection & collections from this "bump". Any advice?

I have sought in fact about an hour and can't find an answer to this anywhere on the web.

With LR, your photos are not "in" LR or the catalog. Your pictures are on your hard drive and referenced by LR by using file and path names.

If you do arrange files by folders, it is easier to do before you import the image into the LR catalog.

Move the folder on the desktop and in your "pictures" folder is suggested because the office is never a permanent location where people leave things and because it is easier to move the image before importing.

When you perform an import, you can have your files handled in two ways:

    (1) ' Add' - leave the files where they are, just add the entries to the catalog. Used when you already have the images in folders where you want.

    (2) "copy" - LR copy images from their current location (normally a memory card) and puts them on your hard disk in folders normally organized by date, but you can suggest another organization.

  • How to import a jpg in lightroom (5cc) without keywords

When I import jpg photos Lightroom automatically matter also all keywords. How can I stop this? The reason why I don't want them, is that I actually want to redo all my keywords/imports. I know it's a big pain, but I think it should be, as I learned how to do things more properly (in theory).

Lightroom 5.3 (cloud creative). Fully updated.

    Windows 7.

If there are keywords in JPG files, I don't think there is a way to stop Lightroom from their reading.

However, it would be very easy to import all the jpg files in Lightroom and in a single action, delete all the keywords. In the library module, select all the photos (or pictures you want) and then go to the Keywording Panel, set the drop-down list of the "Enter keywords" and select all the keywords listed, then press BACKSPACE. They are gone!

  • Video importer does not recognize the .wav files

When I click on get the media, then click on files and folders in PE10, then click a .wav file I want to import, I get the pop-up "Please use importing video. The problem is that the video importer only recognizes the video, mpeg2 files for example. The .wav files that I researched before being forced to use the "importer" video is not in the list. It was so easy to import audio files in earlier versions of Premiere Elements. Why the "importer" video should be used if it does not list the common .wav files? The video importer settings can be adjusted, or this application may be avoided? Gee, I don't know why the things that worked well are made more complicated or is no longer can be made.

In addition, please download the appropriate help file or manual user to save? I'm willing to pay for this service that we have already taken for granted. Gee, I've been a loyal fan of Premiere Elements. However, things become useless and obscure. I hope moderators help despite this negativity found mine. I'd think again of a program that I made the praise of many people.

There is no real manual for the program - that's why I wrote my books.

But I'm not sure it would help you in this case.

Where is the WAV file? It is on the hard drive of your computer?

You certainly should not use the importer of the video to get the WAV file - assuming that it is not coming from an external device, such as a camcorder or a smartphone or iPad or another similar term.

But if you have problems, try just open Windows Explorer (or Finder on Mac), locate the file and then just by dragging from Windows Explorer WAV file in your media Panel. It should fall right into.

Is it easy to import and to restore from an older version? '

    The traps?

If you install the new version of the EP on the same computer, and the actual photos have not been moved, the new version of the EP find your old catalog and the catalog upgrade to new version offers. Your old catalog will remain intact - the new version of the catalogue will be a separate catalog.

  • 10.1-> 11 g via import/export, not DBUA - notice?

We have a 10.1.0.4 database which is rather simple: tables, indexes, sequences, and that's it. No user PL/SQL or Java - fairly simple stuff.

We must move to GR 11, 1 material and my plan was to build a new database of 11 GR 1 material, export patterns of the 10.1 database and import them into the new. It is not a large amount of data. This also has the advantage of having the two available DBs at the same time (old and new).

A colleague attended a local Oracle conference and the presenter said about ten times "If you're going to upgrade, you MUST use DBUA! Very important! You will have big problems if you do not! "Then, he wants to use DBUA. My opinion is that we are not 'modernize' but rather export/import and it is conceptually very simple.

I'm curious to know if it is really nothing wasted in my method of import/export. My thought is that the new 11 GR 1 material database will be set up properly and cleanly, and we simply add data itself. He was a little scared of speaking ;-)

    Thoughts?

    Hello

If you know exactly the content of your drawings, it is easy to import/export and check the result.

As you say, by export/import, you can compare 2 databases and control how your application works on the new database.

I did several migrations and, so far, has no need to use DBUA.

I understand that for a large (or complex) database DBUA may be the best way, but for a simple and small database, I'd rather import/export too.

To help you in your choice, you will find attached a link on how to upgrade:

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28300/TOC.htm

You will find the method of import and export on Chapter 7.

    Hope this helps.

  • Pix & Editor Photo Manager of LR etc.?

I spent all my time to test recent editors of different photos - Raw processing, Lightroom, darktable, Capture One, Lightzone, Photoshop Elements, affinity, ACDC Mac Pro, DXO Optics 11 - on and on. Most of them is best editors (IMO) than pictures, but I prefer the ease of use and search for photo management. And since we now have two "extensions" and in particular the extension "External editors", I wonder why I should not simply use pictures for management and my 'catalogue' and some minor/quickie changes and exit to all others, I prefer to do more complex work.

I mean, what's wrong with this picture? Photos is pretty quick and easy, good import, has a few basic changes, and fantasy guys are always more or less available, either by extensions (or some of them) and by export and re - import (even if it work you on duplicates, I suppose).

Anyway, would love to hear from someone who has tried this or he tries now, how it worked, and what are the limits, what to watch out for, etc.

    Thank you very much.

And since we now have two "extensions" and in particular the extension "External editors", I wonder why I should not simply use pictures for management and my 'catalogue' and some minor/quickie changes and exit to all others, I prefer to do more complex work.

That's what I've done since publishing extensions became available.

My main reason to stick with Photos is iCloud photo library. There is no other easy way to sync my library of Photos between multiple Macs.

I found that I must not fall back on the Photo editing spotted too often. I'm careful to take my pictures so they don't need much editingbeyond straighten the horizon lsightly, cropping, perhaps to correct the white balance and adjust the highlights and shadows. Everything that can be done in pictures.

I mainly use extensions or external for a correction of perspective editors, if it was not possible to take the picture with the correct perspective, for the smoothing of the skin and for touch-ups. I try to avoid extensions if mounting can be done in Photos, for two reasons:

    • Extensions create a new master file almost, like Aperture. Then they break up which edition.
    • And they are not yet as stable as I could wish. For example, extensions of affinity cannot edit some panoramic shots, they can reframe the edited section. And I often get an error message when I try to save the modified version - for affinity extensions and extensions site, for the most part, if I try to apply multiple extensions to the same photo.
