S3-391 selective startup mode
New owner of Acer S3 - 391 UltraBook, Windows 8. I noticed that when I go in "System Configuration" that he is in default of payment to "Selective startup" and I can't change the setting of "Normal startup". I can select the 'Normal' radio button and click on 'OK', but as soon as I go back to the Configuration of the system, it has been 'selective startup '.
Does anyone have an explanation or a solution for this?
Thank you.
You have a problem with the machine? Windows 8 by default selective startup. Normally, there is no need to change this setting.

Computer is stuck in selective startup mode
My computer is stuck in selective startup mode. I had a problem of reinstallation of office 2010 after a fraudulent copy was downloaded by crooks who hijacked me for a secure Ms page and took me for $ 50 is not the problem. I have a MS software warranty, so I had a technician help me with office and got it works, but I'm stuck in this restricted mode and need help to return to the normal mode. Bootrec/ect... did not work it says no found windows system or corrupt files load all the drivers which is not available in selective mode. Please help as this is getting frustrating that I can't work with the applications minimum programs ect... If nobody answered, then this guarantee will be useful ;)
Original title: the System Configuration
Hello
Long term, that could actually be better... Especially after the publication of office...
You will lose all your programs except those provided with windows...
You cannot save those install you, but remember to back up all your important data and other things...
Just in case...
You could study later get an imaging program that you are running from a CD...
Make an Image to an external HARD disk... If something happens then windows, simply reload the image and make it like new... MUCH easier then reinstall...

Thomas,
Follow the step on the next page to start the computer in Mode safe.Once you start the computer Safe Mode, the built-in "Administrator" account should appear. I'm not saying that your user account is not an administrator account, but just to be sure to use the one built for all purposes it may serve you.

STOP: 0x0000007e (0xc000001d, ox8537008 0xba4c3508 0xba4c3204) and the system would not come to the top.
Error blue screen STOP: 0x0000007e. I powercycled the sys, unable to choose for sure (keys do not work when you try to select a mode) sys is trying just to go back to the blue screen. Help, please
Symptoms: Booted computer, loaded the raid drivers and showed at the start screen XP for half a second then to BSOD with a Stop error Code 0x0000007E - see also a lot of users (0xC0000001D, 0 x-, etc.) as well.
Solution:
1 boot from your Windows XP CD and start the recovery console. You may need to press F6 while RC loads in order to load the SATA drivers. you will have a prompt c:\WINDOWS to the console.
2. type: CD $NtUninstallKB977165$ \spuninst (it's the update, I had to uninstall to get out of the boot loop, other updates can be uninstalled by changing the name of the directory to $NtUninstallKBCODE$, where KBCODE is the code KB)
3. type: BATCH spuninst.txt
4. type: exit
Don't forget to configure your system to boot from the HD before resuming. I hope this helps. Saved me a lot of hassle today.

I hope you made redundant data backups as I suspect that the drive has failed. If a PC, you must
remove all power and remove and reinstall all the cables (at both ends where possible), memory and cards. Do

When I turn on my PC or after mode 'sleep' my motherboard will load but then nothing else... White screen. If I reboot and select Safe mode it loads. If I reboot in safe mode then everything works. Windows loads, everything works.
I have this pc for 3 years. My system was full of unused and unwanted programs, so I rebooted to Vista, deletted all my old files that Vista had moved into the "old." This is when I started having this disorder.
(I made this process more yet to see if it would help with no luck)
My first thoughts were video driver... downloaded the new drivers 3 times. scanned all the other drivers for updates ect. nothing seems to help...
Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you
Dave

I'm testing in-app purchase in my app (BB10). I added my id in sandbox mode. I go through all the messages of payment and without selecting any mode of payment (paypal/credit card), it returns successfully. is this correct behavior?
There is free of charge with the sandbox test, so flow you state sounds as it should. Direct mode test load actually does more validation would occur before returning a result.

Beep when starting and past in startup mode
Hello. I currently have problems associated with the startup mode. When I turn on my laptop, the laptop starts beeping loud and it automatically goes in boot by itself mode. I, not having as much knowledge about the technology and do not know which of these options to choose from, I just pressed the Esc key and then my laptop automatically goes to the normal start screen and beeps constantly. I did no changes to my laptop and it's bugging me. BTW, my laptop is Lenovo G480 running on Windows 7. Is there a way I can disable this automatic start mode? Please help me.

Boot Manager Windows problem asit always starts with a selective startup under the Startup tab
Whenever I start my laptop I get Windows boot manager options in which it highlights the option of windows 7 and I have to press Enter and continue with this option selected.

Also I disabled some startup applications, but even changes are not get saved when I restart the system after changes. My touchpad no longer works between the two, and then it starts to work. My left and right keyboard arrows keys do not work.
My change in normal startup is get back on selective startup.
Please help me to solve these issues.
Hello
It is very possible that this is for the reason that you have corrupted files on your system. System File Checker will scan your system for the missing, corrupt or damaged files. In addition, it will try to correct them. If you have changed the important system files, System File Checker will be - make sure you make backups of them!
How to run the System File Checker

I would also recommend that you run the Startup Repair to the problems that Windows may be displayed when you start your computer.

"Enable protected at Startup Mode" to stop printing on RightFax
