  My recommendation is:

Is there anyway to control the flow of data between scripts. (Basically, I want to know if test 5 the main script, anyway to control the flow of parameters among other scripts.)   Who would be called a "Wizard" in the APEX (also frequently used in the Application Builder as you say). There is an 'Assistant' option when creating a new page that allows you to create and link the basic multiple page structure. Themes have "Assistant progress List" (horizontal) list templates (vertical orientation) and "Assistant list progression, horizontal Train' that can serve as indicators of progress of scene.   The EAR is a good idea, but you put the META-INF/persistence.xml in your ejb module. The EJB is where you do all your (managed container) transactional stuff, so do call in your EJB since the WAR instead of trying to share a persistence between modules unit.
