• EBS 11i clone question

  Hi all
  It's been a while that I cloned our EBS 11i.
  We used to have an identical structure on applications and db between environments Prod, Uat, and Crp levels. Some time ago, we moved our Prod d/b on the SAN. So, now I have datafiles, redo logs and control files in different places then before. In production, they are now in/prod/oraprd/oracle/data, / prod/oraprd/oracle/redo/prod/oraprd/oracle/control.
  UAT, they are in the directory/uat/orauat/data.
  My question is: after I start an adpreclone.pl and copy the files on Uat, then unzip them in appropriate directories, can I then move to the init.ora parameter and change the locations of the control files?
  After that, change (IRPP) and rebuild controlfile prior to execution adcfgclone.pl?

  I wanted to order preconfigured reports that come with Oracle BI applications, for that I had to download and installed
  OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
  7.9.5 oRacle BI applications
  Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.0
  Oracle EBS R12,
  
  Question 1) I see that there is Oracle DAC 10.1.3.4 on the same download page, should I also download, as when I installed oracle BI 7.9.5 applications he installed CAD OracleBI folder and I can access customer DAC, then what is the need of DAC separate?
  
  Question No. 2) when I installed the Oracle BI Applications 7.9.6(after uninstallting apps 7.9.5), there was no record CAD oracleBI location, in the guide it says DAC file now has a previous installation, I guesss which means that I must have oracle Apps 7.9.5 installed before installing apps 7.9.6?
  
  Question 3) is informatica powercenter 8.6.0 compatible with the settings above, or do I have to install informatica oracle Web site, I tried but need me to download OBIEE link

  (1) you must also download DAC for configuration that the BI apps.you can go through this link for more information

  (2) you must install either 7.9.5 apps or 7.9.6 version... Because the two are different, it's BI apps 7.9.5 use informatica... where as BI apps 7.9.6 will use ODI (oracle Data Integrator) and ODI does not use DAC for its installation.
  So go either one of these... I suggest you go to 7.9.5

  (3) Informatica 8.6.0 is compatible with 7.9.5 Apps.Google to find informatica software.

• Edit Tree Control Question, specific cells

  I have a question on the modification of tree controls.

  I have played around with the properties and to date have not thought to it. That's what I'm doing:

  I have a tree with multi-column control.

  The columns are essentially: name, Description, value 1 and value 2

  I want to do is be able to select the value 1 and value 2 and change them individually on each line.

  I want to be able to change the name and Description.

  What I was able to do so far is the editable table and every time I get the string in the active cell regardless of the cell that I click in returns always the value of the first column.

  I had this problem by making my changes of value by calling a pop-up box and change the values, but I would rather simplify it by editing the tree.

  I can't give my real code, but if it helps I can make an example facsimile...

  Here's a suggestion:

  -tour of the edition on the tree cell

  -When the clicks double user on a cell, if the column index is 2 or 3 then set the position of the appropriate cell editing

  Simple question: how to invoke the command open in the control to the path to the file? My reason is my user has not provided a file, then I want to force the user to select a.

• MY DELL INSPIRON 15 3521 BRIGHTNESS CONTROL QUESTION

  When I bought my DELL 3521 a few weeks ago, that came with OS Ubuntu, I remember the brightness of the screen is adjustable using the Fn keys (F4 / F5).

  Since I installed Win7 a few days back the brightness of the screen remain very dull (maybe the lowest setting), that doesn't bother me for my day to day work. But for my photo and graphic work, this intensity is far from satisfactory.

  I have checked the internet on it and seen a lot of you also share the same experience. I did almost all of the advice given in it and since there was no improvement, I downloaded all the drivers on the official DELL site for Win7 and install.  Then something happened, it's now, I could see the brightness and the volume of the control on-screen icons or symbols.  Incindentally control of its (speaker) works very well (Fn/F10/F11/F12), while the screen brightness indication appears without any response to the keys (in fact, it indicates the maximum brightness in the scale, and when I try to reduce the scale reduced by point/scale and rest and not move any further).  However, there is no change in the brightness of the screen, which as I have already said, is low.

  I have not yet decided to contact the dealer on this issue which might be a small question perhaps, that I am lying to reconcile with yet.

  I don't know how to solve this problem. Is this a technical problem or a manufacturing defect? Could someone help me please. Must be very grateful.

  PVCS is a good version control software for Oracle EBS.

  Serena Dimensions is the best tool for version control. It is not only as a version control, but also as a tool of liberation.

  Other version control tools that are available: Express Sourcegear, TortoiseSVN, Dimension, Cleartool, clearcase, etc.

• R12.2 install on two nodes fails with validation app control

  I try to install R12.2 on both nodes.

  Node1 - DB level

  Node2 - tier APP

  Level DB install fine. Copied on node2 and used on installation of application layer configuration. "All the controls of" system to validate Configuration "going fine except 'User Apps DB connection' which shows:

  DB connection that the application was not successful. Please check the details and password login user applications.

  Database connection string - jdbc:oracle:thin:@node1.my.org:1521:VIS

  The database is all right, the listener up. I couldn't find all the logs that would give more verbose error statement. Nothing found on MOS... any help appriciated.

  I come to rest and that Hussein will drop a suggestion that I forgot some prerequisites, or that it's a well known problem and in the meantime, I started playing with the variations of password of DB user APPS expected. I changed it to one that has my Linux user oracle, under which runs the level DB and IT... worked

  My mistake.

  I have provided the OS password when prompted for "Apps DB User Password", which is obviously APPS user password.

  I thought to delete the entire thread, but maybe some else will hit the same problem.

• App Type Question

  Sorry for the basic question, but I want to make sure I get this right.  We have a new Pro Edition account and create our first application multi-folio.  We would like to have 1 free folio, and the rest will be $1.99... but we do not necessarily want to offer an annual subscription.

  To achieve this, what type of application would be used?

  Can we charge single folios in the application 'Several question', or only through the app "Multi-folio with iTunes subscription?  And if we use them, we offer an annual subscription as well?

  If you're not going to offer subscriptions, then you must select several question request. If you select iTunes subscription you must include at least one subscription, although it doesn't have to be annual. It could be another lasting.

• Changing the Configuration off EBS App Tier hosts

  I have a few questions about to reconfigure an application to TEST system configuration after a clone/backup/restore.
  
  (1) we have three knots on our PRODUCTION file system. Node A - serves the DB level. Node B - is (Conc, Admin and Web server processing) application server and the node is the Application Server (only used for the CFP).
  
  (2) I noticed that during periods of heavy concurrent processing, node C is never used and is almost always at 0-5% usage. Node B, but at these moments is always 95-100% usage.
  
  (3) so I want to make a change in the following manner on the cloned system (and then follow through with the same change on the PRODUCTION system)
  
  (4) I want to assign the node C as the web server only (entry point into the Application)
  
  (5) I then want to assign Node B to the tier of treatment/Admin/applications concurrent server
  
  (6) node A will remain as the tier of DB server.
  
  After completing this configuration (if possible), I will double then the web and server level CP/Admin/Apps using a F5 load balancer.
  
  Is it possible (using the CONTEXT_FILE) for re - configure nodes as indicated on the 4 and 5?

  Also in the new configuration, I set the $APPL_TOP on node B and node C on the test instance and run adcfgclone.pl AppsTier on both nodes after you change the $CONTEXT_FILE?

  Do not set the $APPL_TOP on both nodes, but you don't need to edit the context file after you run the script adcfgclone.pl as the script will prompt you for the services that must be run on each node.

  No matter who actually created folios separate unique number (but identical content) for SD and HD devices?

  I have an application which is onlt 20 MB total but it's playing on iPad1 because there a lot of game of the OSM to vector, and this may be the cause of the problem. We can't go several questions on this one.

  I was wondering if, indeed, Apple rejected apps submitted as SD and another for HD.

  This issue was raised several times during the year last on the forums, but I have yet to see all the answers?

  I think you should name them as: My App and My App HD. In this way they would differrent names and Apple should approve them.

• Omen 15-5110nr: harbinger of HP with Windows 10 control question?

  I just got a new HP store HP.  During installation it prompted me to upgrade to Windows 10, I did.  Once installation is complete, control of harbinger of HP does not change the colors of keyboard.  In the application, it appears to change the colors, but the colors actually on the device.  The keyboard and other lights show only red.

  I am owner of laptop Qosmio F30-140 for 7 months. I can say that I m happy with my laptop. But about 2 weeks back, I had some problems, which I can't resolve up to our days.

  I use Windows Defender to protect my PC from alert elements, applications of which I erased by this program once. There after I ve discovered that s keyboard buttons in the library and the remote responds does not and does not control panel. I had tests to recover by Qosmio player recovery CD, but unfortunately all attempts have failed.

  Please help me solve this problem, because I am deprived of my remote control, in which I so need.

  Looks like you have just messed the whole OS.
  Use and relocation of the recovery CD Qosmio Player will not allow Toshiba cotroll buttons and remote control.

  In you case reinstalling the driver would be desirable; Start with Manager common Module, controls, remote control.

  If it does not help the use of CD recovery Toshiba does wonders! ;)

  But note; Don t forget to back up your data because the recovery CD formats the HARD drive!
