Eclipse BlackBerry plug-in
I need assistance with the installation of the Blackberry Eclipse Plugin.
In may, I downloaded the all-in-one eclipse successfully and Blackberry plugin 7.0. I had a lot of trouble then, but now with the new version 7.1, my previous solution does not work (which has been added the plugin via the update site in eclipse) I think.
The problem I have is eclipse installs correctly, but it doesn't recognize not the blackberry features - IE it doesn't have the "perspective of blackberry" or "blackberry"project or a simulator of the elements. Simulator component and package files are all in the directory.
I tried:
-Install the all-in-one plug on (when there is no other eclipse installation).
-Installation of base eclipse 3.7 x 86, then attempt to use the update of the site http://www.blackberry.com/developers/jar/win/java
(sometimes does not connect this link, but I managed to do to connect once while I could install the plug-in base and the BB SDK 7.1)-still will not recognize the features of the blackberry.
Technology: Windows 7 x 64, Jre 6 x 86
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
I should mention also without doubt, I have to re - install the blackberry plugin this is because I had to improve my pc from xp to Windows 7. So, I lost the previous installation and configurations of laborious!

Eclipse Blackberry plug-in: "run as" problem with build.xml
Hello
I use windows 7 (32 bit), Eclipse 3.5 with the blackberry plugin.
I created a very simple "helloworld" "TestBuild" blackberry project that uses build.xml to build. Here's buildRIM desciption I used in build.xml
jdkhome = "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20"
DESTDIR = 'out '.
output = "TestBuild.
quiet = "false" >
title = "TestBuild" vendor = 'abc '.
version = "Version = 1.0" description = "My Test Build1"
arguments = "" systemmodule = 'false' "
runonstartup = "false" startuptier = "7".
"RibbonPosition ="0"icon ="... /res/img/TestBuild.png ">
By right click on build.xml, when I "Debug As"-> remote Java Application, everything works fine.
However when I do "run as"--> Blackberry app man goes well and called the Simulator, but without the built application.
In the end, I get this error:
Packaging project TestBuild C:\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack5.0.0_5.0.0.25\components\bin\rapc.exe -quiet codename=deliverables\Standard\5.0.0\TestBuild deliverables\Standard\5.0.0\TestBuild.rapc -sourceroot=C:\Users\Shikha\workspace\TestBuild\src;C:\Users\Shikha\workspace\TestBuild\res -import=C:\eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack5.0.0_5.0.0.25components\lib\net_rim_api.jar; C:\Users\Shikha\workspace\TestBuild\lib \bb-ant-tools.jar;C:\Users\Shikha\workspace\TestBuild\build.xml C:\Users\Shikha\workspace\TestBuild\bin I/O Error: error in opening zip file: C:\Users\Shikha\workspace\TestBuild\build.xml Packaging project TestBuild failed (took 1.327 seconds)
Please help me!
Hey thanks for your reply. Yes, indeed, I had added build.xml to build the access road. Thus, even when I have not used build.xml for building application, it still existed in the way of the construction and has caused the problem.
works fine now.
Thank you!

Problem:
VideoRecordingDemo, which is imported from samples Eclipse/BlackBerry, always saves maximum 16 seconds on the Smartphone BlackBerry 9800/9900 video.
However,.
When Media/Video camera is used, the video data that can be recorded forever, have no any limitaion.
If you know the reason, please let us know.
Thank you for your attention,
It is not a problem.
Please that we forget.
In fact, only the file (apperance) shows the old data file, but the file is totally different from the old data file after reading the record.
It's my misunderstanding.

Flash Builder 4 and Eclipse WTP plug-in
I need someone to help put me in the right direction as to how to configure the Eclipse WTP plug-in in Flash Builder 4. I have the plug-in downloaded on my desktop with 2 main folders (features and plug-ins) in there. At this point, I'm stuck on where to go from there to get WTP in, or work with Flash Builder 4. I run the standalone FB4. Someone help me please.
Bliss
The recommended way of getting to work with WTP FlashBuilder is using the site to update plugins grace-> to install a new software. Eclipse WTP plug-ins are deployed on a p2 Update site that is necessary for installation in FlashBuilder.
An alternative is to copy the folder that contains the WTP plug-ins and features in FlashBuilder's "dropins" folder

Try to install the plug-in Eclipse BlackBerry fails
I get the following error when I go to install the Eclipse plugin:
Can not complete the installation because one or more required elements could not be found.
Software: BlackBerry JDE plugin for Eclipse 1.0.0.67 (net.rim.EclipseJDE.feature.group 1.0.0.67)
Lack of requirement: BlackBerry JDE plugin for Eclipse 1.0.0.67 (net.rim.EclipseJDE.feature.group 1.0.0.67) requires ' org.eclipse.ui [3.4.0,3.5.0)', but it is not found]What can I do to fix this?
Never mind. I got Eclipse 3.5, while the plugin requires 3.4.
But what is happening with requiring a user id and password to download the plugin? It's just stupid hard.

Plugin Eclipse blackBerry makes me crazy
I have the plugin BB 4.5.0 for installed Eclipse and pursuant to article KB here, this version and that you support especially Java 1.6. However, I created a new project of BB in Eclipse and set the level of the compiler and the level of compliance to 1.6 and I also added the JDK 1.6 in the buildpath.
Every so often and I mean once or twice an hour, I find such things as the Enum etc suddenly complain that it cannot find a reference to these objects, etc.. When I return to my project properties, I find that the compiler parameter has been changed to the specific project and the source level to 1.4, with the level of the class up to 1.2. It also deletes the JDK to my path of construction. Why is this? If I change it back, then a couple of minutes or later, it is changed back again. I'm going nuts! Is there a ghost in my Eclipse? Any ideas appreciated.
Thank you
Schalk
AFAIU article KB says what version of JDK is required to get the JDE running. In other words what RIM JDK used when they compiled tools Java inside the JDE.
Unfortunately, it is not related to the language version that you can use in your programming for BlackBerry. It is closer to the old Java 1.2 than similarly 1.4 (for example where are all these 'new' of 5 years of java.util collections?)

I had a phone in the BB world for years and ended prompting for all staff. I have the charger mini firewire standard type plug with a charger at home, office, kitchen cars, everywhere. Now, I get a "BOLD" and it has a different take. What's the point of that? To make me go out and buy all new Chargers?
UH... no BlackBerry device has a mini-firewire connector or port.
It was a Mini USB port. Since on the Storm1 and 8900 devices a year and a half previously, all BlackBerrys have moved to the MICRO USB port and the connection. RIM has done so as part of a standardization of Chargers industry wide. The EU demanded that cell phone manufacturers.
So, now you know.
What I have, because I also wanted to continue to use my other chargers, did buy a Mini Micro USB adapter on eBay.
Like the image below. I bought so cheap as ten of them, and gave a few friends.
This has been discussed in the Forum here many times, the search would have found it... but not if you're looking for "firewire'.»»

Trouble installing Eclipse w / BlackBerry plugin
Hello. I am an experienced developer, but a newbie to Eclipse and Blackberry development. I am following the video tutorial titled "BlackBerry® JDE plug-in for Eclipse Installation and Configuration" (http://www.blackberry.com/DevMediaLibrary/view.do?name=eclipseJDE.) I installed the all-in-one package (BlackBerry_JDE_PluginFull_1.0.0.67.exe), but when I open the workspace, there is no BlackBerry menu. Can someone help me solve my installation?
If it makes any difference, I'm under Windows Vista SP1 (32 bit).
Thank you
AndrewI tried to install on another drive - installation just clinging to 45%.
But, (drum roll), I could get this to work. (They sure don't make it easy.)
Here's what I did, for future readers:
Remove any eclipse existing installs, as well as workspaces and the .eclipse file in your
folder. Download and uncompress Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede - version of last year. "It will not work with the latest version.) I use 3.4 SP2, and that seems to work. Place the unzipped directory wherever you like. (Mine is in c:\Program Files). Then, copy the Zip of Blackberry JDE plugin file in a folder of Eclipse extensions. Whenever you decide to upgrade this, Eclipse will remember. I created a "Extensions" folder in my Eclipse directory and he fell into it here.
Open a command prompt, navigate to the Eclipse and run Eclipse.exe - clean flag. ("eclipse - clean')
Click on the 'Help' menu and select 'updates to software... "Click on the tab"Available software", then on the button 'add a Site... '. ». In the dialog box that appears, click on the "Archives" button... "and navigate to your extensions folder and select the .zip of Blackberry plug-in file and click 'open '.
Click "install...". "and let it install. When it's done, it prompts you to restart Eclipse - to do.
For me, at this stage, he worked, and my BlackBerry menu was visible. Your mileage may vary, but I hope it works for you also.
Thank you
Andrew

Eclipse plug-in for SDK Webworks 2.2.0
OK new version of the SDK can be integrated in ecllipse?
Well, it seems that it will not support the Blackberry. Its a shame to see how you can get an android or iphone signed compiled app much faster in eclipse blackberry option to return to the primitive approach to compiling and signing

Impossible to debug as - >; Blackberry in Eclipse Simulator
Hello
I've implemented an application for some time using Eclipse 3.5 and Blackberry plugin version 1.1.2 without a lot of questions, but recently, I was stuck on this one:
Whenever I try to "Debug slot-> Blackberry Simulator ', Eclipse crashes at 31% saying"delegate launch. " This leaves me in a bad spot for my application debugging. However, I only peut 'run as-> Blackberry Simulator '.
I tried the new configurations debug with different simulators. I tried to re-intsalling the eclipse + blackberry plugin. I'm still stuck with the same question.
Can anyone share ideas they might have on it, or suggest how I could resolve this more?
Thank you
Jon
Apparently, it had something to do with the BBDevMgr process running. When I killed this process in windows Task Manager, Eclipse was able to start the Simulator in debug mode. All good now!

I guess I should have mentioned that eclipse started without problem before the blackberrry plugin has been installed.
Google and found a recommendation to drop the eclipse.ini and restart eclipse. Eclipse started without problem.
Thanks for your help.
