Edge artifacts remain after using the selection Brush tool

I use the Brush tool selection, with a hardness of 100%, the value to sketch an image I want to upload a different photo.  I have described very precisely the image and the outline of ants market indicates the degree of precision which has been achieved with the desired outline.

However, when I switch mode 'Sélection' in the 'Mask' mode, there seems to be at the burrs and other 'streaks' around the line of the selected image.  When I copy the slected in a new image layer on another photo, smudge and streaks around the selected image forming are very apparent.

I thought that a 100% hardness value would not all artifacts to stay beyond the line of the selection.

No idea as to what could be the cause?

Yes (mobile dotted) selections show only what is 50% or more selected and that may be one reason, you can see additional fields when you go to master view, which

shows everything that is selected and also with the help of a layer mask show all selected areas.

The selection brush use some anti-aliasing like the Brush tool same hardness of 100%, which is in fact what you usually want when selections. If your selection is hard edged

as you get using pencil, then when you paste a photo or put a background behind the selected area, the woul result seem very fake.

view 3200% on selection to 100% hardness brush.

Clearly, light anti-aliasing on the edges.

view of 3200% with the pencil in quick mask mode tool (similar to the mode mask selection brush)

Note the hard edges. (photoshop elements does not come with a quick mask and you cannot use the pencil tool

with the selection brush, but you can use the pencil tool on a layer mask)

Using the selection tools is very good, but usually no one wiill you get a selection perfect without additional work.

This is why make a layer mask to selection, will give you a lot more flexibility to refine your selection.

I bought Lightroom a few days ago. I was traveling so I didn't have the time to 4.3.

The version shipped with the disk (4.1) worked like a dream. I downloaded 4.3 yesterday and I couldn't be sadder. First of all, I noticed that it cause the 'root' to use more CPU, which means that it does not use the CPU for Lightroom itself. More demand is usually and significantly slower than the original one.

Today, I used the red eyes for the first time, and I can't just brush top unless it crashes! It is simply impossible. I rebooted. Upgrade my Mac OS 10.7.5...  No use. I even uninstalled and reinstalled again. I was forced to do all my first edit in there usinf the brush, then use the tool red eyes as the last step. But any time that I commit the brush after using the red eye tool, it crashes instantly

  • Previous versions CC and files remain after using the cleaning tool - anyone else?

Windows 7 64 gb ram, dual Q4000 cards: update from 2014-2015 release - waited until I had finished projects on 2014.

After the use of control panel to remove all the programs Adobe (including the removal of the predefined/prefs/plug-ins settings that I had saved), records containing all of the files and programs that dates back to CS6 remained on my drive C. I used Adobe as directed cleaning tool (option 3 - CC). However the old files containing programs, etc. STILL stay...? I then used the Adobe chat to ask about it. I was told then to use Explorer to manually delete the old files. WHAT IS PROPER PROCEDURE? I left a little confused the two uninstall through Control Panel AND cleaning tool really seem to remove older versions. ADOBE STAFF: PLEASE CONFIRM THAT I SHOULD USE EXPLORER TO MANUALLY DELETE THE FOLDERS OF OLD (CS6, CC, CC2014) OF MY C: DRIVE. Thank you.

  • Where is the selection Brush tool in Photoshop CC 2015?

I would use the tool selection brush similar to PES and rather QUICK selection brush. Is the simple selection brush in this version, or is it possible to add it somehow? I'm bored of my brush "to draw exactly where you want the selection to be!"

You can put the selection in a layer mask and make as many combinations of paint with the Brush tool, refine edge, ect you want. Also, if he is not enough contrast to the quick selection tool, a tip would be to go to the Panel layers and find the channel with the most contrast, then push the contrast adjustment curves. Who can help tremendously.

And the edges are a bit smooth, you might try the pen tool.

  • Selection Brush tool error

When I try to use the selection Brush tool I get an error that says: "could not use the brush selection because of a program error." Someone at - he a clue as to how I can solve this problem. I use Windows 7, PES 9. Since then, there is no error code or any suspicion that is contained in the error message I have no idea what to do. Suggesstions any help would be appreciated.

Start by going to the left end of the toolbar options for the selection brush. There is a small triangle. Click on it and choose Reset tool. If that does not do it, quit the editor, then it again in the home while pressing ctrl + shift + ALT screen keep the keys down until you see a message asking if you want to delete the startup parameters. You do.

  • CC of Photoshop is having a problem with the Healing Brush tool

It comes to my setup with the layer I'm working.

1 got to Image menu / apply/image layer = bass tones layer (below) / mixture = Add / scale = 2 / and then select reverse. It looks like a high pass filter, but it is not.

2 Exchange mode layer to linear light that restores the image to its natural state

When I try to use the Healing Brush tool on my bed to make changes to a face I use the alt key pressed to select the sample point, photoshop seems to block the point that I select.  And he is on the screen in what looks like a high-pass filter, and then when I try to move the brush again point to perform a healing event fullscreen drag with the brush movement.  I don't then deselect the option once I use the ALT key. I've experimented a bit and found that if I hold down the ALT key it removes the high pass, but as soon as I release the ALT key, it goes back in a high pass.   I also tried clicking on this layer and by choosing another layer, the high-pass goes and I can use the mouse to select other items.  But as soon as I go back to the layer that I want to work with the screen comes back to what looks like a high-pass filter and you guessed it, the mouse drags the whole screen.

Thinking that this might be a problem with Windows, I turned off my pc and rebooted and then restart photoshop and I went back to the same process and have experienced the same problem.  So I'm making this post looking for a solution.

In the menu of the window display the Panel Source of duplication.

Is the clipping option at the bottom off? This would cause all of the image to display in the overlay. -What is the opacity of the overlay and blending Mode different 100% and Normal?

These options are not used with the Spot Healing Brush as it makes its sampling automatically.

  • Is there a selection Brush tool in CS5?

I recently moved to the top of Photoshop Elements for CS5 which included a tool selection and more brush brush for quick selection.  Selection Brush tool to paint a selection free style without being bothered by the 'Quick' function which provides guess everything where you can select.  I couldn't find the selection Brush tool in CS5.  Is this one?  The lasso is not as easy to use.

The "brush selection" in the elements is a subset of the Quick Mask mode in Photoshop.

    Select fast is something else.

  • Stupid question CS6. How can I get rid of my experience after using the quick selection tool?

Stupid question CS6. How can I get rid of my experience after using the quick selection tool?

The best way would be to make sure that your layer is not a background layer: click the lock icon in this case. Then click the icon at the bottom of the layer panel layer mask. This will create a mask that you can refine and not be destructive.

Hello! I use photoshop elements 12 and I just set a new model. Using the pattern stamp tool, I'm brushing my boss on my photo; However, the model will come out in checkerboard and I don't want be check patterns, only the template itself. I tried checking and unchecking the box alignment, but it doesn't seem to change anything. How to brush on the model without making a checkerboard pattern.

Well, defined bosses are in fact repeat patterns, that is why your seeing what looks like multiple images of the same thing.

This means that if you try to cover a larger area than the initial size of defined pattern, the pattern is repeated.

What you could do is to make a selection of the area you want to fill the (flower) pattern with and go to layer > new fill layer > model

Use a combination of the scale slider, then move the model on the image until your happy with the set up.

(while the Model dialog box fill is open you can click on the area of document and move the model)

  • XP unbootable after using the recovery disk, but Linux will be

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L25-S1216. I had some bad virus, so I used the TOSHIBA Windows XP Recovery and Applications/drivers DVD provided with the computer when I bought it. I had used this once recovery DVDs or two before without problem, the last time was about 1 year ago. The recovery process seems to be okay: he seemed to format the disk and copy the files from the DVD to the hard drive. He copied about 5 600 MB hard disk for about 10 minutes and 40 seconds.

But the computer does not boot from the hard drive after using the recovery DVD. I tried the process several times and it does not start in Windows XP on the hard drive. I checked the settings in the BIOs to make sure he can start, but it does not start in Windows XP on the hard drive. All I get is a white screen with a horizontal blinking cursor, nothing else, no error message, nothing.

Then I got a copy of Linux (Fedora 14 live) on a CD and started on the computer from the CD R - W, DVD R drive. Then I loaded Fedora 14 hard disk. , I can boot into Linux (Fedora 14) of the fine to hard drive. In fact I use Linux to write this e-mail now. I also see the files that have been copied from the DVD recovery Windows XP on the hard drive, when I'm on Linux.

Does someone has an idea what could be the problem? The only difference between now and the last time I used the recovery about DVDs a year, is that I had to replace it internal CD R - W, DVD R drive, as a mechanical part was broken. I replaced it with the same exact model (TS-L462) who was in the computer when I got it is new.

    Thank you

    B.

Not sure how a restore xp cd may give you the option to start the recovery console.

With a regular xp, recovery cd / repair console is launched all simply by selecting the 'r' on the configuration screen.  Subsequently, the recovery console opens and takes you to the drive prompt.

In any case, what I suggest is to execute commands to drive at the command prompt that could make the drive bootable again.

    the commands are:

    Chkdsk /r

    Fixboot

    bootcfg /rebuild

    FIXMBR

Normally, fixmbr running on a laptop is not recommended because it disables the hidden partition that contains the files for recovery.  Then re-enable it manually, is not easy. But since you have your on dvd, then you are lucky.
