• Bluetooth kit S430 Edge does not work on Win8

  After I did a clean install of Windows 8 in my ThinkPad Edge S430, I found that it was impossible to turn on Bluetooth (see photo), and, even more frightenly, Bluetooth communication device does not appear in Device Manager any more! (I checked, I have no 'Unknown' devices either).

  I tried different drivers with no success. Bluetooth works perfectly under Windows 7, and it is always enabled by the BIOS.

  Is anyone else have had similar experiences, or ideas of what could be the problem?

  Given that the pilots did not or could not be installed, we'll work a little more away. You said previously that the BIOS has been recognizing the Bluetooth device, correct? Recently updated BIOS? If you are unsure, you can either update it through the matrix of pilot, you went at the earliest, or just simply find your BIOS version and post it here. It could be that the BIOS does not communicate the Bluetooth device to the computer when the operating system loads. If this is the case, then Windows 8 cannot be that a Bluetooth device is installed on the machine. Check the BIOS and post your results.

• Why does movement of files on a USB flash drive last so long?

  I don't know if this is a Windows problem, but when I move a lot of files/folders (no copy, but select, then drag, or cut and paste) a place on the USB to another place on the flash drive, it takes much longer than the same hard disk.

  What is a Windows problem or a problem of flash player?

  If Windows is somehow move the files into pieces on the hard drive, then moving them back to the flash drive, I could see that as being the reason, but this seems very inefficient. If Windows says just the flash drive to move files and it does itself, I wonder if it is an inefficiency in the flash drive (or formatting) or just the nature of how flash drives move some files.

  I don't know that you have understood my problem. I moved the files to the flash drive from one folder to another on the flash drive. When I move tons of files in a folder on the Windows Installer by car, no matter where the records are or the number of files/folders are moved, it usually happens instantly and occasionally perhaps takes a fraction of a second or two; I know it's simply by changing the index (do not physically move the files). With a USB flash drive, it takes seconds to minutes, depending on how much is moved, which is usually much less to install on the windows drive. It's because flash player must physically move the files on the disk, there is no index to put it as on a fixed drive.  In addition the only way to move is to copy in memory, and then write it to the new location.  This means that each overflow bit must go through the USB connection (which is thousands of times slower than SATA cable on the real hard disk), and since then he has to go twice (in and out), it is even half as slow as new.

  There is no transfer between the hard drive and the flash player I know.

  What this means for me, it is the index or take more time to rewrite, or files are actually moved. What I'm asking is if Windows is somehow data transfer (even if it's the index) drive flash disk, then moving them backwards, slowing things down. I think that even moving them by RAM would slow it down, but I'm not sure.  Also considers that the internal drive is cached. So even if a bit should be moved, Windows will just notice "Yes move this bit later."  The progress box says it completed instantly, but really uses lazy writeback just finish the job later.  That is why if you lose power to your computer, it corrupts the files got reported as fact, but were not actually written on the disc.  Flash drives do not use the lazy "write behind caching" because they never know when the user will disconnect unexpectedly, so that they take the slow lane and check writing all ended before they say the progress bar to advanced. 

  You can change this second element by setting your USB device to "best performance" in the device, as Manager below.  But I do not recommend because it cannot handle unplug you the reader more.

  Thanks for your reply. I think that the problem was a bloated library. I was reusing a folder I had created earlier and found the library full of junk that I couldn't remove. I found myself redo the work from scratch and it worked fine. I wish you could just delete stuff from the library. I saw some reviews on this before and explanations from Adobe that you should not be able to delete things because it can be shared. I'm going to talk a lot about your users work only and do not have the ability to share more that they must be able to remove.

  I have problems with animation of edge on a web page. It does not load the first time the page is loaded, but charge very well the second time or at any time after that. To test I empty my cache, then reload the page. It seams to work in Internet Explorer, the first time, but not Firefox or chrome.

  Too bad, the URL itself had quotes which needed to be removed; Once this has been done the URL is opened correctly.

  I have some good news! I found a solution - at least for my problem with firefox. As I guessed and described above there was a problem with the server settings. For some reason any the guy who hosts the server thought it was a good idea to replace the MIME - / downloaded content type of all the javascript for "text/x-js. It seems that the script of edge cannot correctly interpret these files and it spits out this error message empty instead.

  An easy solution to this problem was the first to replace the MIME / content type for each script contained in the file .html with "application/javascript" or "application/x-javascript" so that it will look like this: . In addition, and this was the solution in my case, create a new file named ".htaccess" and place it in the root directory of your project dashboard. The content of this file must contain "AddType application/x - javascript.js" or "AddType application/javascript.js. Who did it for me.

• Outbreak of similar PCI-6251 reference edge does not work with two channels?

  I use this card PCI-6251 to acquire data from two channles of entry. I need to use reference similar edge trigger. the trigger for the chan signal 1 and acquire data from chan 1 and 2 chan. However, the error is that this card can't take two channels with similar trigger edge reference. Please check if it's the PCI-6251 limilation. If so, can you suggest any other card can do this work? The normal extent can trigger from one channel and acquire data from many other channels.

• NET 4 security update KB2487367 does move and redirects to Bing

  For the last week, I get a security alert - and downloading the update, computer takeas years to get running and alert same notice appears again.

  I clicked on the link on the update of security for more information and all I get is Bing.

  Is microsoft now forcing me to chose Bing or Linux?

• OfficeJet Pro 8500 software USB does move

  I have Windows XP Service Pack 3. I uninstalled all my previous software/drivers HP printer before installing the 8500. (I had a series of OfficeJet 6100).

  I select to install the USB software. The USB cable is not connected.

  When the software starts installation it says "step 1 of 4 - control system. He crashes at 5% and never does anything after that. I let go 20 minutes or more with the same results.

  I have downloaded and run the OfficeJet software and driver removal utility. Who was running. Found a note that says to run the bat file 3 times... Has done this, then restarted.   I had so much trouble getting the software installed. I finally got the drivers running and a lot of software installed, but not all. (No Photo Essentials 3.5 yet). I finished to clear all the memory disk cache (temporary files, etc.) and to change my startup so programs nothing started upward when I rebooted. After that I tried to install again. I tried several times. One of the moments where I tried to install "wireless" instead of USB. I got a ways, then tried to install USB. I finally got to complete the installation. Now when I run the program Center solutions to try to Scan (or other functions) the software crashes and does not end so I can scan etc, but I can click on the icon of the SCANNER that I copied my files of the control panel. When I open the scanner like this, I select Micrsoft camer and scanner Wizard. I am able to scan just fine. It is a continuous process. I think that I have some weird problems with my computer and other files drivers, but at least I can run my printer now and scan.

  I don't know if it's 2015 focused on release, but this is the first project of edge that I've done since the update and publication. OAM and HTML both show nothing.

  I have not experienced THIS problem yet with Edge, although a hundred others...

  The edge project works perfectly in "Preview in browser", but nothing about publishing. I use the same publication options as I've always done, nothing special about em.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  I managed to do the work. In case it happens to someone else:

  The file was created in 2014 dashboard. The file was then opened and saved in 2015 from edge. Apparently saving edge 2015 was not enough. I created a new project and copied and pasted all the elements in the new project. Then it works perfectly.
