I have a laptop Packard Bell with Windows Vista. Recently it just stopped working completely. He goes to the login screen to choose your profile, so I click on my profile - and then once it is recorded in I can click on something and everything freezes. There must be * again and again, but I can not move - unless I log on a different profile on the laptop. When it restarts it comes up with a disk cleanup, which I passed by - and yet it happens always each other time, the computer restarts. And now I connected just a purple screen and a mouse... nothing else. Can someone please?

If you do not, use another PC to create a Windows 7 repair CD.  Download the ISO from the link below.

    Windows 7 64 bit

When loading, select repair your computer and choose the command line.  When this charge, enter the following commands and press on enter after everyone – including spaces as shown.

My HP Presario f 700 laptop does not recognize my CD/DVD drive and will not burn or play CDs or DVD movies.

I have a lightscribe, CD/DVD player, and I started having problems about a month ago... I tried to burn a lightsribe CD and my computer told me that I didn't have a CD Lightscribe drive (I!)... then when I just tried to burn the music on the CD, he didn't do it either... Finally a week ago, I tried to play a movie on my laptop, and that does not work either.

When I insert in the film or the cd, the drive lights up and I can hear the work, but it is as if she has no connection with my laptop and my laptop is not picking up the CD/DVD drive try to play a movie or a cd.

A friend suggested that I go to the HP website and am trying to download a driver, but I didn't know what to do once I got to this website, and I don't know if it will work.

If you know how to solve this problem, or if you have had a similar problem with your computer, please help, thank you.

  • my touch pad on my laptop does not move the pointer, but when I have my mouse wireless pluged in it will work I was told I could have disabled the touch pad which I have to do to activate it again?

my touch pad on my laptop does not move the pointer, but when I have my mouse wireless pluged in it will work I was told I could have disabled the touch pad which I have to do to activate it again?

    Hi dove2k,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

You will need to enable the touchpad on the laptop itself.

Find the area of the touch pad, you will find a button to enable or disable the touchpad.

If the step above doesn't, try this step.

Go to control panel > mouse > device settings tab
    Click (or to disable)

    Notes:
On some models, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable or disable the touchpad. For example, ACER, just do Fn + F7.
You can click on Reset device if none of these solutions work.

If you still can't touch pad to work, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

    Hi RAS.

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

It could be due to drivers or system files corrupted or damaged. Don't worry, will help you with the question.

You can try the steps in the link below and check if it helps.

8.1 Windows, Windows 8 or Windows 7 hangs or freezes: (at the start, recent hardware or software changes, system files damaged due to hardware problems, due to malware or Antivirus software)

    Warning of Chkdsk.

Important: When running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

Anti Virus WARNING: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

To run the above steps if you are unable to use the system, then I suggest you to place the computer in Safe Mode and the clean boot and check if you can try these steps.

Operate the system using the safe and check. It starts with a minimal set of drivers and services.

Start your computer in Mode safe:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=Windows-7

If the problem is not in safe mode then try to clean boot.

Try the system to the boot. This will eliminate the conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. It starts Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, consult this "How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" section in the link above.

  • Cursor and laptop keyboard is locked. Need to unlock the keyboard. (Windows 7)

I need help here. My laptop keyboard and slider are locked. When I try to connect to windows I can't enter a PW or move the cursor, so I'm stuck. I rebooted several times and tried to get into safe mode, but can not enter a password, or move the slider. If I try to connect to Lenix from a CD that works very well. I saw some comments about special codes that can be used to lock a keyboard and unlock keyboards. I use Windows 7... Thank you

The problem has been resolved. I don't know how I got in the situation. The children were on my laptop, so who knows. The important thing is that I discovered how to solve this problem thanks to you.

Here's what I did. I followed the link you provided and followed the steps in 'help of last - known good configuration' and it worked. Thank you very much. Here is the link.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/using-last-known-good-configuration

    1. Remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the arrow next to the button stop , then clicking on restart.
    1. Do one of the following:
    2. If your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you need to try again by stopping and restarting your computer.

    • If your computer has more than one operating system, use the arrow keys to select the operating system you want to start, and then press F8.

    1. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select last known good Configuration (Advanced), and then press ENTER.

    2. If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, use the arrow keys to select the operating system that you want to start using the last good known Configuration, and then press ENTER. Windows will then resume starting normally.

  • Hall 13: HP pavilion laptop does not connect to the printer HP envy range 7640

My laptop does not connect to my HP envy printer. It keeps saying the driver is not available or is it ready, but does not connect. I know the printer is working because I can print from my phone. Anyone know the driver I need to download or what to do?

    Ruizgeraldine

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the problems with your Envy 7640 in Win10 printer and wanted to help.

The problem is that by default HP print drivers installed by the upgrade of Win10 often do not work.  I have two HP printers and neither one worked after the Win10 upgrade.  We also receive a lot of messages of other people with the same problems.

I linked the page drivers and software for the Win10 drivers for your printer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/model/6617268#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

You must download and install the full feature software and drivers for the printer.

Then unplug the printer and install the software.

Do reconnect the printer until the installation program invited to do so.

Once the installation is complete, restart.

You should then be able to use your printer in Win10.

    Good luck
