edges blur photo stacking

The macro picture is a fusion of ~ 30 photos, F/5, 0.8 s, developed by increments ~0.7 mm, camera on rail development. Apparently there are areas along the edges of the layers blur. I tried F/8 and F/10 option hoping greater the DOF can help, but the same effect appear.

This kind of effect is regularly whenever the subject is very complex and rough texture. Is it possible to reduce or eliminate the effect? I am beginner in PS. I'd counsel a sharing experience.

Yes, Photoshop does not always the best choice of layer when it comes to focus stacking.  Rather than trying to guess which of 30 masks the layer to change, I'd be inclined to flatten the battery defective and align and the mask of the image in a new battery.  Either select the flattened pile and the new layer and go to edit > Auto alignment of layers, or just put the new layer of difference and align manually.  I always lock the position after having done this, because I seem to always manage to push out of alignment if I don't.

Forum regular Chuck Uebele made more of it than me, so if it is not locate this wire, PM him and he will not fail to offer his two cents worth.

  • OfficeJet Pro L7590 AIO - using ADF for scanning Photos stack

I've seen other posts along this line, but they have not answered my question.  I want to put a stack of photos in the ADF Document (CAD) and have them automatically scanned in separate JPG files.  I have not been able to get this working. Actually, I can't get the scan function to accept any document in the ADF.  I loaded an image in the ADF and click the scan button on the L7590 only whether scan the empty dish without pulling the photo.  I got the same result when I used the HP Solution Center software.   Seems like the L7590 should be able to do this... I just can't figure how to make it work.  I really don't want to load the dish with one or several photos at once.  One of the main reasons I bought the L7590 was to replace an old scanner with flat SCSI HP autonomous because she didn't have a document feeder.

PS - I know that the ADF works because I made copies of a document multi-page placed in the ADF.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

    Hey DexterM,

I solved my problem!  I think it was a pork/configuration installation/CPU issue.   I thought that my call to the HP support line a few days he's solved a unrecoverable Setup error (Error 1335 if you are interested), but given the other problems I saw, I decided to remove all the programs and re-install.  After copying the installer on my drive hard vs installation from the CD, I was able to go beyond the fatal mistake and seemed to all software installs successfully.

Then, after you fix pork CPU issue the HP solution Center Software ran quickly and I was able to set the parameters of configuration of scanner for the first time.

This allowed me to enter the help of scanner manual (the manual supplied with the scanner is very rudimentary) and I was able to get the correct configurations.  I then tested with 3 photos in the ADF and it worked - put each photo in its own file.  Woo Hoo!

Thanks for your help and I hope that this thread will help others - IT IS POSSIBLE to SCAN MULTIPLE PHOTOS INTO SEPARATE FILES VIA THE ADF!

  • Photo stacking? and also save an image for the web?

    Hello-

    (1) when I use PS to superimpose a photo, I load the files to stack under Scripts = can I highlight all the layers- and Auto blend

After I do and the process is complete - how delete all files I have loaded section layer on the right side of the display box / I can do one at a time and delete them all except the last file that the trash is gray.

As a work around, I have been closing the PS and re opening and it erases the files off-Surely there is a better way?

    (2) when I have an image ready to save - is it possible for the PS as in save for web, which will reduce the size of the image, then save it small for me to use? I have not found the fly and I was wondering if this feature is included in the PS-

    Thank you

    Rosa

If you have any other useful layers, you want to keep, you can use Layer - Flatten Image. This will take you to a single layer

For your second question, use file - export - export as or file - export - save for Web (legacy)

  • Photoshop can detect automatically blurred photos and then tag or remove them?

I need to quickly sort thousands of photos to the identity of those who is blurred. Unfortunately, these photos were acquired from a mobile platform, so about 20% of them unusable liquidation because of blur. In the past, I just manually sorted through them and deleted out-of-focus photos I'll. He arrived at the point where I can't follow, so I need an automated method. I found references online to Photoshop elements organizer that some users say has this ability, but I can not find organizing in Photoshop CC. Photoshop for this and if so, how?

Photoshop can't do. This sounds like a job for Lightroom.

It is used by the editors of pro photo take massive amounts of photos from a shoot and organize them quickly. But all this is done manually. I love the video of this guy workflow:

  • "The blur" photo workflow in PSE9?

    Hi all! :-)

Have some photos taken with a digital camera who (because of my moving hand I guess!) seem to blur. Who is the workflow best/proposed for 'blur', them?

Well, then you're pretty much limited to unsharp mask or adjust the sharpness.

  • Fuzzy box darkens the edges blur alpha in After Effects

    Hello

As part of a filter more complex, I created a box simple fuzzy graphic Pixel Bender which simply blurs the pixels of a whole amount. It is divided into horizontal and vertical then treatment for speed (essentially it is substantially the same as the blurry box part of the example given in the Pixel Bender Developer's Guide).

I use to blur an image with an alpha channel.

The Toolbox it works absolutely fine, however when I use it in After Effects CS5 the fuzzy edges look dark, as if the filter is assuming that the fuzzy alpha background is black. In the Toolbox, if I set the preferences-> picture Window-> background color to white, it works as expected, but it's because the Toolbox knows the color is white and unpremults accordingly. I tried premultiplying the pixels of the alpha to see if it works, but it makes it just worse!

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated!

    Thank you, Christian

Yes, After Effects is multiplier pre with Alpha. That's usually what you want to do a convolution, but in your case the UN-prémultiplier would be correct.

  • After you import the image it blurs photo

I use a canon 700, set to update firmware and take pictures in raw (cr2).  I try to import them into Lightroom which is made but then distorts the image. He did this in "copy to DNG" as well as in the simple copy.  With the help of photo Mac app all download perfectly. I tried different cards but the same effect.  JPG works well. Can also use of stand alone Adobe's DNG Converter to change the format and it works well. But not in Lightroom.  Anyone with clues on what I can do?

If you haven't already done so, I suggest to use a card reader. In General, it is more reliable than the connection from one camera to the computer.

  • ActionCam blurs photos underwater housing?

I noticed a marked decline in sharpness with underwater images with the Actioncam. With the GoPro, it's the same thing until they went with a flat front and not curved, port on the front that we have with Actioncams (and GoPro had with their first generation).

Is there the chance of an upgrade or new box with a flat port? Or is there a third-party customization of the casing to produce sharper images under water?

For better clarity and focus, it is recommended to use the flat door to coverage of the UW, AKS-RD1A which is part of the door of replacement set AKA - RD1.

You can see how it improves the focus when using the cam of action under water on this small sample video: provided comparison is case UW and AKA - RD1 flat lens

  • Remove stacked photos

My photos are either single photos or those stacked. Is it possible, after choosing between them, remove all batteries, but the top of each pile? The end result should be that I get rid of all batteries.

When you select (highlight) photos stacked, the contextual (right click menu) offers a menu with the option to 'flatten' the batteries. Who holds the top of the photo in the stack and removes others.

  • Smart collection - stacked photos and keywords parents

    Hello world!

I'm playing with smart collections and wonder there is a possibility

-to filter photos stacked and / or the first (front) image of a stack of photo...

-to filter a parent keyword that is not assigned itself-, it should show all the photos with the respective child of key words (but no pictures with other keywords that can contain part of the keyword parent); or more simply put - filter just how that would happen when you press on the-> arrow next to a keyword in the keyword browser

    Thanks for all the inputs.

Unfortunately, there is no 'empty' option, but using a search the presence of vowels gets around this omission. You can configure a smart collection as shown in the attached screenshot and he must capture all of your images which have no title. There is another variant of this collection intelligent with a, e, i, o, u, y on a single line, but it was broken several times in previous versions, so I tend to not use it.

  • See RAW and JPEG in two separate photos?

    Hello

Understand that the Photos automatically stacks RAW + JPEG as a photo. Wondering if you guys have found a way of:

1 see separate RAW and JPEG in individual photos?

    2. If this is not possible, is there a way to set default pictures to show the RAW version as photo thumbnail/principal for each fireplace?

Currently trying to find a way to effectively create a workflow involving Photos + Lightroom (raw changes), as well as JPEG/RAW files

    Thank you!

You can do this by selecting the photo stacked and then enter the command ⌘D to duplicate it.  You will see then two separate versions of the same photo.  Open the first version in edit mode and use the command "Image > use RAW original title" to use the RAW file as the original image file, then select the second version and in edit mode and use the command "Image > use JPEG as the original" to use the JPEGfile as the original image file.

You can now see the two versions of the image separately in the browser.  Duplication will only duplicate previews, not the original images. But you can now edit the RAW and JPEG format separately.

There is no option in the user interface of the default RAW version.

  • Frame using to capture the video puts the file in the stack, can't get it then appears.

Help! I always use this feature to capture some video footage of my ghost DJI. It saves me time having to take a lot of pictures. When I used to use the menu of the video PlayBar drop-down "image capture" in the library function, the framework that I would capture appears just beside the video in the row of photos at the bottom of the window. Now, it appears as a stack, and even though I tried all the options under the stack when I right click on the selected image, I don't get a change in the way that is the battery icon. Now, I don't see the captured anywhere file. This was just recently a problem so I'm assuming an update changed something in my settings, or it is a bug. On a scale of 1 to 10 on my knowledge of this program, I'm between a 2-3. So, if I'm missing something simple, please keep this in mind. Thank you!

Maybe you have a set of filter that prevents the capture frame appear in the film downstairs.  Make sure the library > activate filters is not checked , and then try to capture the image again.

Then, it may be that the batteries are reduced by default.  Make Photo > stacking > expand all stacks.  Now when you capture an image, it should appear in a pile at the bottom, but with already developed cell.

Finally, if you view a collection or the smart collection that contains video, i.e. If the collection is selected as a source in the Collections Panel in the left column of the library, then when you capture an image, it will not be displayed at all, because LR is not automatically add photo frame to the collection.
