Smart collection - stacked photos and keywords parents

Hello world!

I'm playing with smart collections and wonder there is a possibility

-to filter photos stacked and / or the first (front) image of a stack of photo...

-to filter a parent keyword that is not assigned itself-, it should show all the photos with the respective child of key words (but no pictures with other keywords that can contain part of the keyword parent); or more simply put - filter just how that would happen when you press on the-> arrow next to a keyword in the keyword browser

Thanks for all the inputs.

Unfortunately, there is no 'empty' option, but using a search the presence of vowels gets around this omission. You can configure a smart collection as shown in the attached screenshot and he must capture all of your images which have no title. There is another variant of this collection intelligent with a, e, i, o, u, y on a single line, but it was broken several times in previous versions, so I tend to not use it.

  • Smart collection for photos with the same capture time

    Hello

I wish to have a smart collection for the photos I took to make HDR.

These photos were taken of view/captured sequentially, therefore, most probably have almost the exact same time (perhaps even within the same second).

-Is it possible to create a smart collection for these photos?

(I know the collection could also include pictures I didn't mean to, but even when most of the potential HDR photo would be there...)

    Thank you!

    Boolis.

A good way to make this selection for HDR/Pano is to select all the potential picture in library/grid and then use the command "Auto-pile by Capture time.  You can then place them in collections.

  • Smart Collections using 'Source' and 'Collection '.

I'm a little confused about this subject.  I want to create a smart collection within a set of sets in the collection.

    Example:

The TRIPS agreement is a set of collection

Under the TRIPS Agreement, you have RV

Under the RV, you have "ButterField Ranch may 2016.

Under "ButterField Ranch 2016 may" you "All".

Then under "ButterField Ranch 2016 may" want to create a smart collection that includes only the "color of the label" green collection "All".

The question is, how - you reference the 'all' within all the other collections without getting all other collections 'All' somewhere else.

What the question is: How do bosses really work for 'Source'-> 'Collection '.

The question is, how - you reference the 'all' within all the other collections without getting all other collections 'All' somewhere else.

You can not.  Smart collection criteria allow you to match the names of the folders, collections, published reports and publish the service (for example, "Flickr").  There's no way to match the name of a collection defined in smart collections (or filters, incidentally).   Others have asked for this feature - please add your vote and detailed opinion, why you want this feature request service in the official Adobe feedback forum: Lightroom: Smart collections lack of criterion for "Collection Set | Community customer Photoshop family .

To match the names of the sets in the collection, you can use the plugin to any filter.

  • Can create you a smart collection of layered images

Is there a way you can create a smart collection in Lightroom 4 to superimposed images? I have a bunch of overlapping images that I use for Panoramas and HDR fusion and I would like to create a smart automatic collection for these overlapping images. Is this possible?

    Robert

Thanks, but I don't want to use third-party plug-ins. I can't believe that Adobe does not include a way to show just stacked collections of images.

What I've done is added keywords for the stacks of images and then create smart collections based on those keywords. It seems to work very well.

    Hi E.Carreras,

I understand you want to keep everything in order when it comes to your photos on your iPhone and iPad. I have two suggestions that will be of assistance in the form of use iCloud for help.

The first suggestion would be to use iCloud photo library. This will keep your entire collection of photos and put them in iCloud. Any changes on a single device, will appear on all devices. This will count for your iCloud storage space but I recommend you look at the FAQ page in the first link for more details.

    iCloud Photo library FAQ
    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT204264

The next option would be to use iCloud, photo sharing. You can create an album that will be synced across all devices and it does not count towards your storage to iCloud. This one will keep this album synchronized so keep that in mind. For more details, take a look at the following article for more details.

  • Lightroom CC smart Collections - keywords - bringing in other Photos

    Hi all

I'm having some problems with Collections smart Lightroom - would really appreciate some help with this.

I've implemented a Smart Collection using the keyword "windows and doors".  He brought in all of tagged "windows and doors" my photos but it also brought in many other photos that do not have this keyword.  I thought that maybe it's that he straightens out the word "and" which could be included in another keyword, but this is not the case.

As far as I see it is the only criterion I have set for the smart collection but just can't establish why she brings to all other photos.

Any help with this will be appreciated.

Another possibility is to not use smart collections at all.

In the keyword list Panel, hover your mouse over "Windows and doors" and click on the arrow to the far right. It is the best way to find pictures with a particular keyword, in my opinion.

The problem by using a smart collection and "contains all the" is it does not permanently select photos that have the keyword "windows and doors", he can always choose other keywords such as (invents) "Microsoft Windows and back doors. But in another example more realistic, if I key words for "New York" and "York", all of which are two cities in the State of New York (Yes, it is really a York City, New York), and they have the name of the city as a keyword and the name of the State as a keyword, and then search for the "New York" with "contains all the ' there are pictures of the two cities." There is no ambiguity when using the method of keyword list Panel, you will get only the photos for the keyword you want. So if I select the keyword 'York' via this method, I only get the photos with the keyword "York" and no photos with the keyword "New York."

  • Smart collection of matches with only two keywords

I've added keywords in all my photos with the names of the people in the picture.  Then, I created a smart collection with two names inside.  For example, Jessica and Ryan.  This collection then returns all the images that have Jessica or Ryan in them. I am trying to get images that contain both Jessica and Ryan, but not other names.  The only way I knew how to do it is going in the other names in the field does not contain.  It seems a lot of work when I have many other names, and must be updated every time that I add new keywords.  Is there an easier way?

    Ryan,

Not exactly. It depends on how you define more "easy". A possible solution would be to have a keyword that is the number of people in the photo. Then, you could look for Ryan and Jessica and 2 (or two?). Not a great solution, but it works.

If Lightroom supported some syntax such as 'only Ryan and Jessica in the population', this kind of research would be possible.

  • I'm totally confused about records, collections and smart collections.

I am a complete newbie to Lr so please forgive what are fundamental questions without doubt!

In records, I have 2 folders - Annecy and Aix which have different vacation photos.

In Collections, under smart Collections, I have a folder named Aix which has my pictures of Aix and that is synchronized to Lr on my ipad.  However, although Annecy is listed under Collections, it is in a folder at the top of a new tree under smart Collections but does not part of smart Collections.  I hope that makes sense!  This issue of Annecy does contain pictures, and the only thing being synchronized on ipad is the name of the folder.  How can I copy photos from the folder in the folders in the Collections folder?

I read that peaks must be in the Collections before they can be synchronized.  However, on the ipad there is that a folder named "Pictures Lightroom" it contains 242, the same as "all photographs synchronized" under the heading catalog when Lr appears on my desktop.  At present, I am initially upload my pictures in my office and then import to the RL.

Finally, about mobile Lr in response to a previous johnreliis investigation informed that I must ensure that I am connected to creative cloud on the ipad before being able to view synchronized + photos on the ipad.  I downloaded Lr mobile on the Apple store and have nothing to CC on the ipad.  Now, I wonder if the reason that the pictures of Annecy are not displayed on the ipad is due to the fact that, at the present time, they are not in a Collection.

Thanks in advance for all you can give me advice.

    Richard

Just drag Annecy out of smart Collections and next to Aix.

What is called "smart Collections" is actually a Collection Set - that is a container for other regular or silent collections (like your Aix) and smart collections which include images of criteria that you define. Notice how "Smart Collections of" has a different icon from the smart collections inside, looking more like a box. So what you could do then is to create a set of Collection called France and drag Annecy and Aix in it.

To get the pictures in the Annecy collection, you can find them in your folders and drag the thumbnails in the grid and place in Annecy.

  • Smart collection drop-down does not keywords

I must have got this right once, because I have a smart collection whose only condition is a key word, which is at the top of the drop down to this collection.  Similarly, there is a collection of default Smart that LR must have created, called "without the keywords" and that one of the conditions is that keywords are empty.  However, whenever I try to create a new collection of smart, the criteria drop-down begins with side, followed by pick flag, color of the label, the label text, down to the final criteria, 'any searchable text' I understand unlike keywords, because there is a criterion called keywords.  It is true of attempts to change existing smart collections.  Where's my criterion by keywords?

If you click on the drop down sides first or that you have the display you will see that the criteria were grouped into LR5. You will find keywords by selecting:

    Other metadata > keywords

  • Can LR5 always create a Smart Collection or published a smart folder based on keywords?

I have a smart Collection based on keywords imported LR4, but when you create a new Smart Collection or a published smart folder, the choice of "Key words" is missing from the context menu rules!

    Is this a bug?

I am trying to create a smart folder that is published, but this question caught me.

I think you can still do. If I correctly get what you're after: begin the process of creating the smart collection and when you see the settings dropdown to choose to create your collection, do scroll down to "Other metadata" click on it and you will see "Key words" it. I hope this helps

  • Photos with indicator does not show in the Smart Collection

    Hello

I scored a few photos with the P key, and I want to show them (with the other creterias) in a smart collection. So I build a smart collection with the Pick flag is marked. But no pictures appear in my smart collection... Why?

If I do the same thing with the rejected flag, they appear in the collection...

Any idea? I have to check the consistency of the database or what?

    Thank you

    Screen Shot 2012-01-22 at 2.46.32 PM.png

Yes, you have. The indicators are local non-smart Collections. Your smart collection will find only pictures that are selected in folders or other smart collections.

This will change in the LR4, where the flags will be more local.

  • Smart collection collecting too many keywords

I created a smart collection with only one rule - keywords/Contains / 'Landscape' - but many other images that do not contain that keyword appears in the collection. This does not happen with any other keyword that I know. I tried to re-creation of the collection, re-keywording my images, etc., but without success. How can I solve this problem?

    DARBS,

I suspect that the landscape is a keyword parent for several others. Look in your list of keywords to see if this is the case.

Alternatively, you can assign the entry of keywords "Keywords & tags containing" to see what is happening:

  • Filter or Smart Collection by time Photo taken

I had a good look for an answer to this, but not found anything. Unless I'm missing something obvious I think that there is no solution (yet).

Is Lightroom 3.4, there a way to filter or set parameters for a smart collection, based on the time that a photo was taken?

For example, if I want to see all my pictures taken between, say, 18:00 and 19:00.

It would be for large groups of pictures, so sorting by capture time, and then selecting manually would be inappropriate. I am looking for an automated solution.

    Thanks for any help.

    Adrian

I don't think there is a solution to this (I tried a text search, nothing done).

  • Find all the photos in a collection with a certain keyword /not/.

I have a large collection, and many, but not all of the pictures in this collection require a certain keyword. I think that I have caught most of them already but now need to check if I'm done. Passing by all the pictures of the collection once again, this is tedious and error-prone. So I would like a review where I can see all of this collection, which were not that specific keyword. It seems that there is no 'NO' if available operator.

How can it be done? Thanks for your advice.

Smart Collection-> Mots-cles-"does not contain" - your keyword.

But it's so simple that I think that I may have misunderstood your question. If so, sorry.
