Effect secondary theme of Windows Aero

Hello

I can see tear of Windows Aero theme to disable. The tear went once I enabled the Aero.

I heard that Windows Aero consumes GPU resources and resource memory, it will also slow down the system.

I just want to check what is the side effect of Windows Aero theme, such as what is activation of the advantages and disadvantages?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

Hello

Also known as Aero Glass, aero theme is a set of interface guidelines and design that were introduced by the Windows operating system. Changes affected many Aero interface to interface elements of Windows, including the establishment of a new look, as well as changes in the guidelines reflecting the appearance, layout and the phrasing and tone of the instructions and any other text in applications.

Disabling Aero can improve performance because the dwm.exe (Desktop Windows Manager) takes 28-58000 memory usage k. When we disable Aero IE back to classic mode, you'll find a difference in performance. Not huge if! Because it releases 58K of your storage space. And the animation that is disabled when disable us Aero will have an impact in the Menus load faster.

  • My windows aero theme disappeared on my dell inspiron 1545.

I put my computer in mode 'sleep' last night, and after a few hours I turned back on it. much to my annoyance, available to windows on usual measure was nowhere to seen, and he was replaced by a gray opaque which I don't like so much. I realized to my horror that my beloved theme Aero, which I had used for 2 years, was absent, and instead the computer has been set by default at the base of Vista. I was not uncomfortable with its primitive features, so I decided to find out how to get Aero.

The first thing I did was click on personalize, then window color and appearance. This didn't work at all, as long as the option was not among the choices of Windows Aero. So that's all for the Plan.

I raised the questions of other users who have had the same problem. Among solutions prohibited for them was that graphic drive should be upgraded. I know that my drive has been already updated a few months before this problem, he didn't need.

Then, I heard to reconfigure a certain place in the register, namely HKEY_CURRENT_USER, in order for Aero back, so I thought I would try it out. I walked into the registry "regedit", scrolled down to find this place, and would you believe, I could NOT EVEN FIND the!

Either it is nowhere in the registry or it hides like ninja among the masses in there. (If anyone can tell me how to locate in the registry, I would be happy).

Now I'm not sure what to do. My computer will be like a stranger to me without the Aero theme and I want the good old, friendly computer back I've had for two years. If anyone, no matter WHO, he knows the ultomate solution, I will deal with my best friend of the internet worldwide (not literally, just a figure of goodwill). So please, give me an answer!

    HOLY (insert moderately vulgar expletive)!

MY WINDOWS AERO THEME SUDDENLY APPEARED FROM nowhere SHARE, zigzag3143x

    OK, HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED:

IN WHAT I THOUGHT, IT WAS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (AND LESS IMPORTANTLY), I NOTICED THAT THE RESOLUTION OF THE SCREEN WAS TOO WIDE FOR MY TASTE SO I RIGHTCLICKED ON THE DESK AND WENT TO CUSTOMIZE AND THEN CLICK DISPLAY SETTINGS.

I CHANGED THE RESOLUTION, AND NOT ONLY CHANGED THE SIZE, HE BROUGHT BACK THE AERO! IT IS ACTUALLY RETURNED, FEATURES, COLORS AND ALL! I PUT THE COMPUTER TO SLEEP AND IT WAS RESTARTED TWICE, AS I DID WHEN AERO DISAPPEARED. NOTHING HAPPENED, THE NA NO AERO IS IN GO

IM SURPRISED. I MEAN, THE RESOLUTION WAS A WORLD AWAY FROM THE AERO QUESTION, AND NOW THESE TWO ARE NOW LINKED IN SOME WAY.

zigzag3143x, I'M STUNNED AND HAPPY AT the SAME TIME, BUT ALSO WOOLLEY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE GRAPHICS DRIVER, ALTHOUGH I WAS DUBIOUS, BUT I NEVER THINK THAT A SIMPLE SCREEN RESOLUTION CHANGE WOULD BRING BACK MY BELOVED WINDOWS AERO.

I'M GOING TO INSTALL A NEW DRIVER BECAUSE I AGREE WITH YOU THAT IT MIGHT BE DAMAGED, BUT CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW THIS HAPPENED?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP MAN! YOU ARE A BROTHER FOR LIFE

  • Windows Aero became invalid after installation of my HP printer, it has disappeared from the list of themes.

Hello, I use Windows Vista Home Premium and since I bought my laptop Windows Aero worked fine on it. However, recently I installed the HP printer software on my laptop and after I finished I opened a Web page explore. When I did that an error has occurred, which I don't remember right now but I'm sure it had to do with the installation of the printer, because it was the first time I came across him and it contained the letter HP. I pressed OK and then the theme is back from Windows Aero to Windows Vista Basic and now I'm stuck here without the possibility of return to Aero. I've been looking around and try different solutions, but nothing worked again. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    Hello

With the display card drivers button to complete an install/uninstall/reinstall is to restart the computer. There is no directive specific beyond what you've already done (remove via the control Panael/programs and Freatures). You just need to restart normally to clear the system before performing the next step. • Of Windows Aero theme does not

I know there are a lot of other posts on this subject online, but their solutions have yet to help me.  My windows Aero theme has suddenly stopped working.  I ran the store and he tells me that it is a problem of graphics, but I can still run games like 2 Troubleshooting and Minecraft very well.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6 with an AMD Radeon HD 7600 M Series and AMD Radeon HD 7640 G + double HD 7600 M graphics card.  I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the cards, but without success.  If there is anything else I can try, please let me know.  Thanks for the help.

Thank you very much for the help.  I will try your solution, but my windows eventually break I guess.  I decided just to format the hard drive and reinstall windows because it wouldn't start even in the first place.  Everything works fine now, but.  Thanks for the help.  If the problem happens again, I know where to go for help!

  • Some features Aero works do not (Minimize / effects of opening the window)

    Hello

I did a fresh install of Windows yesterday and for the first restart a few first, all of the Aero features worked very well (once I had installed my Nvidia drivers, of course). But for some reason now, few of the features are broken.
If for example, I click on the shortcut of the file Explorer on the superbar, he opened with a cool effect, it just seems that if I use Aero Basic. Aero Snap works, but a kind of effect "pulse" or "cirlce" you move the mouse pointer does not appear. Also when I reduce a window, it disappears quite simply, instead of the cool effect it is usually.
And yet, Aero Peek works, like the selection of window 'Win Key + Tab' and Aero Glass / transparency effects.
I already looked in the settings 'Adjust performance', Windows was already select all the Aero effects for me, the only thing unchecked was "save the taskbar thumbnails".
I have also already run the Aero Troubleshooter without success.
My WEI is 7.4 and my features are the following:
    Intel Core i7 3770 K
SSD 128 GB (1.5 TB HDD)
    8 GB RAM (1600 Mhz)
    NVIDIA GTX 560Ti
I have a request, could be due to my manual re-sizing of the page file? As I now 8 GB of RAM, it was recommended to me that I reduce the swap file to 512MB - 1024MB to improve the lives of the SSD.
EDIT: I can confirm that let Windows manage my pagefile again (and then restart) has not solved the problem.
Other than that, I have no idea. It is very annoying, with a demi-cuite Aero experience.
    Thank you!

  • How can I use windows 7 themes in windows XP OS to give me the windows 7 feeling

I like windows 7 feeling that is available to windows and partial transparency in the title bar.

I wish if this feature would be available for XP users for a better experience.
It could redefine the looks of the XP theme.

Aero is not just the cursor being different, it encompasses all the Visual effects in Windows 7.
As the transparency of the windows, move the mouse over a program in the task bar and see an overview of this program, be able to shake a window and all other windows are minimized, pressing the key windows + tab to switch programs, etc.

All that Microsoft could do to "improve the customer experience" would happen when XP was the last operating system on. Any changes to the XP now would be updated for security or patches, as XP reaches the end of its support.

  • No more windows aero

    Hello

I thought that it be a good idea to install the lenovo system update program to help me find drivers for my W520 up-to-date. So I did exactly that, but after I rebooted the laptop, my aero feature was turned off and spent at the base.

I tried to select a theme with active but it does not work. I used the windows aero troubleshooting, and he told me that the desktop window manager is turned off and color depth is set too low. I checked the services that are running and its says that the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager is started. Also, my color depth is already on the 32-bit true color. Ive tried to reinstall my graphics card with the latest drivers drivers but it does not solve anything.

I do not know which installed this update tool but its causing problems as my workflow is to windows aero. I'm too lazy reinstaling this machine because that will kill the program installation and very valuable time to get all my applications reinstalled. Any help? I have Setup 4276-2What with a supplement of 4 GB of RAM and an OCZ 60 GB SSD for the OS and 500 GB HARD drive in the optical Bay in stock. I also have a battery slice.

    Thank you

    Hello.

Sorry for the late update, busy. I managed to understand what the problem was. I had one installed proggram called iDisplay which allows an act of apparatus android or ios as a secondary monitor. As soon as I closed this program (accidentally), aero returned to the computer. He is now back to normal... my bad. It appears to require windows 7 basic to work properly. This is also true with maxivista.

  • Windows Aero in Vista

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.  I recently had a clean reinstall made, and although I have not noted at the time, it seems that the 'Aero' feature did not work since then (can't swear to this, but it certainly doesn't now).  When I go into the Control Panel/window color and appearance, there is no option for Aero from the drop down.  Only standard Windows and classic.

All other references to Aero in any other part of the Panel are missing.   I started to do a reinstall of Vista but have not found a "repair installation" version stopped until I did before I made things worse!

Any ideas?  Are just the Aero files missing?  My chart "score" in the Windows Experience is 4.8, so should be fine for Aero and drivers have been updated.

    Thank you

  • Windows Aero partially stops working

I had a recurring problem with my Windows Vista Home Premium where Windows Aero partially stops working. Some of my open windows lose the glass effect, and some of my tabs look effect. As far as I know, the 3D Flip feature still works in these situations. I wonder what I can do to avoid Aero lose parts of its features... the behavior is strange to me, since I would expect Aero is working completely or not at all, but this isn't the case. In general, I noticed this behavior so that I have more than a single open window and either close an app full screen or return to windowed mode. I read that a sfc/scannow might help restore the Aero feature if it has stopped and I am currently in the running process, but I would avoid the problem altogether, so that must not be repeated in the future (assuming it works).

If it makes any difference, I have a 1 GB Nvidia GeForce 9800GT.

Search for the latest drivers on the website of the manufacturer of your video card. Manually search for on the site, don't use no matter what scanner because it and the one in the device manager - driver updates can find old drivers certified, Microsoft is well behing certifying new driver.

If you need help to find them look in control panel - display adapter - device management

Tell us the brand and model with driver Dates and Versions.

Also allows a fast video card but I'd check the driver 1.

1 here is a link to Microsoft FixIt:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/GP/aero_effects_not_working?EntryPoint=WHHT

    2. If the method above does not work, try this...
Start button > Search box, type services.msc >enter key > scroll to find
Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager. Under status, it must bestarted. Under Type of Stratup, it should be Automatic.
Scroll to THEMES. Under status, it must be started. Under Startup Type, it should beAutomatic.
If they are not, RIGHT click on them, make changes on the next window.
    Click OK when finished.
