Eject physical CD remotely

Is it possible to eject a physical CD to a server ESXi 4.0 remotely?  It's a HP Server and I don't see a way to do that through the ILO, so I was hoping there was a way to do this in ESXi 4, like maybe the console not taken in charge or something.  Of course, him "eject" very practical which is binary does not exist on the VMkernel console not supported as it does on classic for a reason and ESX service console that Setup ESXi 4 is not eject media when the installation is complete as ESX classic always makes.  In addition, the start menu on the default CD to ESXi Installer instead of boot disk for some reason-has not really made for the company, I guess that...

Anyway, I know about workarounds as change my BIOS boot order, etc, but I'd like something better than this.  Supports virtual HP is just way too slow, so I prefer to use physical media when I can, but I have no plan on the title of our datacenter for a good week or two and this will continue to go up again and again as we work on our deployment ESXi 4.

Have you tried to add the physical CD to a virtual machine (or vMA) and then eject it this virtual machine?

  • Son of anarchy BD Discs will not play on BDX4400 (black screen)

    Hello world!
Just wondering if anyone can help with the following: I had some problems with the blu - Ray of the BDX4400 player (remote works do not, the reaction is slow, frozen Portal etc.) for awhile, but it was ok with playing DVDs / blu - ray... Up to our days. I come from the Sons of Anarchy box, insert the first disk, and then the screen goes black.

You can hear the disc turning for a few seconds and the play icon appears but then it's all... Just a black screen and you can't even eject the disc (remote not working do not when it is at this point).
I tried other discs of this set, but the same thing happens. However, the other DVD / Blu - Ray work. Therefore, I am sure that the player is fine, but maybe im missing a parameter that must be changed...?
Someone had a similar problem? (I disabled the internet connections and the bd-live function, but not luck)

The region code is correct and FW is up to date, so this may not be the root of the problem, if all fails, I may have to blame the actual discs, but I have trouble believing that 15 discs are damaged...

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, which would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

It is always a stupid situation if everything works perfectly, but not with some discs/disc.
In case your player works well with the other BR disks that the problem must be with the disks you have.

Is there a possibility to test the disks on a few other BDplayer?
You laptop / PC with BD optical drive? Can test you?

To be honest, what is unclear to me that something can be changed (settings) in this case. Either it works or not.

iPad Pro. The keyboard can be used remotely (not physically attached) or you can use a standard apple wireless keyboard

I assume that you mean the keyboard built into the 'smart cover' - it must be in contact with the iPad.

A wireless keyboard Apple has been reported as working with an iPad Pro. Plug Apple for the new State of "magic keyboard" that it requires a Mac with os x 10.11 or later - he does not mention the iPads. Third-party Bluetooth keyboard should work.

  • Physical damage to a remote control

Is physical damage to a remote control (TRC3 or TRC4) covered by the maintenance contract?  I have no idea how it was damaged by the customer.

    Hi Anthony,.

Cable systems, remote controls, monitors, etc. not covered by the maintenance contract, if there is physical damage to him.

So I advise you to order a new one from Cisco. If the remote control suddenly ceases to function (don't forget to check the batteries first :), then you will get a new Cisco, if you create an RMA for it.

    Hope this helps,

  • logical standby local and remote physical standby

    Dear all,

My version of the database is 10.2.0.1.0 (production) and the x 86-64 OS Version Red Hat Enterprise 4 Linux operating system

    Here's my configuration details:

    Rprimary database: two-node RAC

    LOCAL database backup database: autonomous

Database watch remotely: two node RAC

So, my question is, I want my local DR physical to convert logical standby and

Remote DR will work as physical sleep as it IS.

    SQL > EXECUTE DBMS_LOGSTDBY. BUILD

Will after running the statement above in my primary database production there be any performance HIT.

And another important thing is that my statement above, should not affect my remote physical Dr.

Just the local DR should get converted to logic of the standby database

    Thanks and greetings

Mr President, thank you very much for your answer...

Actually in my case I want to be a logical and physical database to aid in total. What I'm trying to tell you, it's that.

We have already two CARS physical distance DR nodes and a physical local autonomous local DR, a * nd we want to convert the local logical physical DR DR *, * this means I want to keep my DR RAC as physical standby*.so, when we will realize the package on the primary database

    exec dbms_logstdby.build;

It will cause no problem for my CAR remote physical DR.

Only local DR must be converted into logic.

    Thanks and greetings

I understand your question completely, you can convert logical physical standby standby either locally or remotely. By running the package it will not impact any performance on the primary production database. By running the package SQL apply will be activated.
There will be no problem with it. Again, you can have physics or logic of Eve in the same configuration of data protection.

  • Convert the remote physical computer Win98

    = & gt; SEE maybe INSTEAD: http://communities.vmware.com/message/1144827

TOO MANY DEAD ENDS. I am very frustrated. Please help me find a new path, or convert a dead-end in a path of success!

I need to move from a legacy Win98 to a virtual machine, bringing with it boot disk software that may not be installed or activated again.

    = #1 END =.

I put the disc in a remote computer as boot drive. I can't convert Win98 remote physical computer to a virtual machine. )

From VMware Workstation 6.5, I File/Import, connect to the remote computer successfully (name = michelle, username = guest, password = *). Then, I like the VMware Converter Agent needs to be installed temporarily on your remote computer. I then get a "failed to connect" error. In the vmware log file, I see the converter tries to a share named "\michelle\ADMIN$" there is no such action, and I don't know how you would set this to the top on the Win98 machine. This attempt will never succeed? In a help file, I read "the wizard of Conversion of VMware in Desktop allows you to import the following types of virtual and physical machines:"and Win98 is NOT in the list. "

    = #2 END =.

Otherwise, I could build a v2I backup (.sv2i) and try to convert that. However, I vaguely remember trying to do this a few years ago, and it does not Win98. It may concern the converter does not support Win98

    = DEAD END #3 =.

Otherwise, maybe I need to go back to a 'METHOD ZERO' tablecloth topic (http://communities.vmware.com/message/1140447#1140447) earlier suggested continuum "Port loses Win98 bootdisk to the virtual machine (guest)? ((I'm waiting on backup .qic below before taking the disc off another motherboard and put it in the host machine.))

However, his method includes the use of vmware - vdiskmanager.exe. I do not have this program, and it appears to come only with the GSX server. All I have is VMware Workstation 6.5.X.

    = #4 END =.

Otherwise... I'm currently a .qic BackupMyPC backup of the original diskette of Win98, now begin on another card mother. I hope that later have a Win98 VM with BackupMyPC and restore my backup of .qic original Win98 disk in the virtual machine. HOWEVER, I can't create the virtual Win98 machine. Other current running VMs can get to my CD, but this one won't boot off of it. I got the new VM at startup of a Win95 boot in DOS disk, and this virtual machine will now Boot C: in DOS mode. However, it does not recognize my CD-ROM as d:, whatever the configuration (image autodetect, d: or iso). So, I'm stuck again!

    = #5 END =.

I noticed that Ghost 14 has its own ability to export to a VMware virtual image. However, Ghost 14 does not work under Win98.

    = DANGEROUS END #6 =.

If I try to upgrade the operating system of the real legacy disk Win98, I'll probably break some features of other old tools I need, which are the reason why I can't start over again. Physically I could clone the drive, but it's probably another series of dead ends. The worst would be to get it all cloned and running to find the legacy of garbage tools...

    Thank you very much

PS Where can I find vdiskmanager continuum 'method of zero?

PS how to add this community to 'my communities '?

You did say "or a second VM.  Of course, I don't know why a 'second' VM.  All I think that I need is a single machine virtual to run Acronis restore.  Why do I need TWO of them, or why I need this product LiveCD?

Instead of overwrite your Windows XP guest, you can simply attach a new virtual disk... and replace this one... then remove the new virtual disk from VM WinXP and attach the same disk to your guest of win98 and start from there.

    It will be useful,

  • Remote Update ESXI 4.1 to ESXi 5.5: no physical access

    Hello

I did some research and I realize that the best way to upgrade the host small deployment ESXi 4.1 is the interactive CD mode. Unfortunately, the server is in another country. Is it possible to do it remotely? In addition, I have no way to move the host servers, to keep safe unless I have a template of the FVO. Is it enough for the host software upgrade process? It is of course a production machine.

    Thank you

    Ryan

If the downtime is an option, which of course is necessary, you can just pass the host without affecting the machines. The machines will be present on a data store, and they will not be on the disk that hosts Esxi OS (unless you have all of this on a single disc, which is very bad thing to do).

Its almost like a windows machine, when you re-install/update the OS changes/formatting occurs only on the operating system drive and you always keep the files on other players.

  • How to assign to the logic of distance in a separate in Logic Pro environment physical port entrance

Is it possible to assign the logical KEYBOARD with a separate entrance in the port of entry of environmental Logic Pro physics?

    Thank you for your advice.

I don't think so.  Logic of distance is considered to be a controller. Controller input data stream are made (by logic) before stopping the logic entry in physics. I "think" (I'm not an expert on remote logic) that the flow of midi is available on the port of the sum.

I'm still not aware that you can change the channel of the South on the logic of distance. So it must be channel a (connected) and your other controllers must be able to have their midi outputs assign other channels if you demux their output.

(please, correct me if this is not correct about the logic of distance - more conjecture on my part because I use remote logical not)

  • Y at - it a remote that runs on a Mac Pro?

Greetings. Our music lab has received three new Mac Pro (the coffee cartridge style) among all models.

Very nice, but the power button is exceptionally hard to find, especially when you end plug all devices. Since more than myself will be turn on the units, I ask the question:

y at - it a (physical) remote control that actually turns the unit, as opposed to those (including Apple) which are simply negotiating media utilities and others.

    Any comment is appreciated.

    Kind regards

There is no way to remotely turn on.

You can use the Scheduler in energy saver to turn on the Mac at a specified time.

You can also just have Mac Power Nap/sleep (Energy Saver) and then just wake up the Mac with the keyboard or mouse when you want to use.

That's what I do with my Mac

No, but you can use a remote control program and do it yourself. Try Teamviewer, or similar.

  • How to prevent my Mac of disconnection after that I connected remotely from iPhone and then left the iPhone app?

I use RemoterVNC on my iPhone to log remotely on my Mac at home so the children can use the computer without my go physically to the computer. (I admit, I am a bit lazy like that). However, lately when I launch RemoterVNC (on my iPhone), do the business of the connection, and then exit the application, the remote Mac began a disconnection. He also started doing this when I connect from my first Mac via screen sharing. It is a relatively recent behavior. Someone has an idea what setting I have (inadvertently) enabled to prevent the computer from automatically disconnect when the 'access app' is no longer active on the remote device?

Go to System Preferences > energy saving > computer sleep > drag it FOREVER to prevent disconnection of your mac.

  • How can I remotely control the music on the 4th generation Apple TV

On the 3rd generation Apple TV, I could use the app Remote for artist, Albums, songs and playlists which was to play directly from the Apple TV remote. This allowed me to sit on the deck and set or change my playlist remotely while my Apple TV played on and on. I couldn't count on Airplay from my iPhone to the Apple TV because of being at the edge of my wireless connection. So I used the application to load a playlist on the Apple TV, which was always in range and connected to my stereo.

With the 4th generation, I can't find an option to load remote a playlist, artist, album, or song. I can only handle what has been loaded using the physical remote control and a TV screen that beats my goal. I bought the 4th generation, because the 3rd generation could not access my subscription of Apple's music while the 4th generation can.

Am I missing something or is the 4th generation Apple TV / Remote app missed something?

Make sure that your Remote application is up-to-date. The current release is 4.2.3 and fully supports the music playback controls.

  • alternatives to LogMeIn Pro for remote access?

Greetings.  Currently, we have systems in the United States, Switzerland and the Mexico that I supported via remote access using LogMeIn Pro.  We paid for a subscription before free LMI Pro has been abandoned even to appreciate the characteristics of LMI Pro.  But as LMI has eliminated this free service, it seems their subscription rate more than doubled each year.  We currently need remote access to 3 Macs and 2 units of Windows (ew).

Last year, we paid $174. for the annual subscription in support of these 5 systems.  I just checked on the price of renewal and it shows $349.00 for renewal.  This is getting too expensive!

Last year, I invested in ARD to support my mother MacBook and the MacBook from an old friend, rather than pay LMI for a subscription in support of these systems.  ARD was a good alternative for these systems, but it is not a realistic alternative to remote systems for charity I help support.  Partly because of the PC, also because what it requires port forwarding in the router and finally because I have to be at my computer to use ARD to access those other systems.  LMI offers the possibility to access systems through an iOS app and can be used by other members of the team of charity, anywhere in the world everyone is physically located.  That's why we have maintained the LMI Pro subscriptions for a number of years.

But with the perennial increase rate of LMI ridiculous (I think they can take their pricing of Obamacare), I'm on my eternal quest for an alternative to remote access.

    Can anyone offer advice?
