Ejection of guard

I have a HP h1280t, 16 GB mem, 1 TB hdd, running Win 7.

My drive to cd/dvd guard ejecting CDs/DVDs I try to load. This just started happening.

All software/drivers are up to date.

Any ideas why this happens?

KHone001, welcome to the forum.

I suggest you go into control panel / Device Manager / device DVD ROM (?).  Right-click on your drive and select "Uninstall" and then restart.  Windows will find the drive and install it automatically.  This may solve your problem.  If this is not the case, check to make sure that there is nothing in the drive that causes the action.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • Windows 8 guard eject my CD drive

I have Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit.  My CD drive keeps ejecting on its own.  I removed the driver from the Device Manager and it still occurs.  It only moved when that computer has Windows 7 Ultimate.  I made a bare-metal install Windows 8.

My computer is a HP Pavilion DV6-2150us

    Core i3

    Hello

The article above also contains the steps for Windows 8. So I suggest to try the steps above and let us know the result.

This problem can be caused by incompatible third-party filter drivers. Please follow the steps to remove filter drivers and reload the driver for the CD drive.

    Remove the filter driver
    =====================

    1. click on «Start», in the start search box type "regedit" and press ENTER.
    2. navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

    3. right click on "Class", click on "export"; Please name the file as "Regbackup" (without the quotation marks), and then save it to the C:\ drive as a backup.

Note: in the case where we need to undo the change, we can double click this RegBackup.reg file to restore the registry key.

    4. highlight this key, on the right pane, check if the "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters" values are present. If so, please right-click on the values and select 'Remove' to remove them.

After you remove the filter drivers, please reload the drivers.

    Reinstall the driver

Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Exernal HDD guard after ejecting disk access

I use a drive external HARD of Fantom Drive with USB3.

When not in use, the supply unit keeps making even the sounds that you normally hear from a hard drive when accessing r/w. Even after unplugging the USB, the device continues to work on the disc. I waited for more than 15 minutes and it does not stop. Without USB connection, it is clear that there is no software on the PC in interaction with the device.

    Any idea?

    Hello

It sounds like a firmware issue, or possibly a mechanical problem with the drive (motor solenoid does not receive the correct stop signal). In both cases, it's a hardware problem and not something that we have on the software side can help with. A site that could help is Tom's Hardware, which also has a Forum like this. Go here: http://www.tomshardware.com/ .

Let me know if this helps you.

  • Cannot eject the CD from the drive slot (without tray) load

I have a Dell Insiron, which took a drive die on me and I'm now trying to reformat and reinstall Windows. The system currently has no BONES.

The problem is that the slot loading CD / DVD player has eaten my DVD and don't restore it to him.

    1. start the machine

    2. press on the eject button on the top of the keyboard

3 lecteur_CD whirs and clicks on and then guard spinning for about 15 seconds and then stops turning

This player does not have a shelf as other CD players, it's just a load of housing where put you the CD directly into the machine. And I can't find a paperclip hole to try to eject manually.

So now I can't reformat because I can't get my DVD out!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

The machine is a Dell Inspiron 1318.

There is still usually emergency eject hole or button - usually at the rear of the drive.  To look for, you will need to remove the drive from the system.

How to eject cards memory on my iMac 21.5 inch, mid-2010.  Pull the tabs 'gently' does not work.  I currently have 2 x 2 giga Speicherkarten installed.  I want to delete and replace it with 4 x 4, according to the guidelines of support, this is allowed.  I have 4 new cards, but cannot get out them of 2 x 2 original.  Please help if you know how.

    Thank you!

It is normal to have pull pretty hard. You'll swear you're going to break something. Pull harder and be ready for that module stand suddenly (i.e. do not hurt you).
