El Cap attempts to restart

For the last three days, when I wake my Mac Pro 2009 El Cap running, he is waiting for me to select a user and connect, if I left it unattended for a few hours or more.  I'm not what I could do to fix this problem, other than trying to install Sierra.  I discovered that the equipment is too old for sierra, however.

I was told that if I had to kill the Winlogon.exe in an attempt to restart or stop a device could cause the operating system to become corupted.

    I'm uaing a feature of windows 2000.

    Hello

    1. How did you kill? via the Task Manager?
    2. do you use the Windows 2000 operating system?

The process "winlogon.exe" runs in the background. Winlogon is a part of the Windows login subsystem and is necessary for the user authorization and activation of Windows controls.

Murder winlogon.exe can make your computer unable to open a session, but I doubt it would have damaged the operating system. It is necessary that you let Microsoft Programs and services run without interruption for the proper functioning of your computer.

Note: The winlogon.exe file is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. In other cases, winlogon.exe is a virus, spyware, Trojan or worm.

  • Satego X 200 - 21U: questions to restart Vista because of the inconsistency REALTEK

    Hey all,.
I ve you have a huge problem that I hope can be a little one to solve.

The thing is that, after a stop for my laptop and one attempt to restart normally, a black screen tells me the following:

    For Realtek RTL8111B / 8168B gigabite Ethernet Controller v.2.02 (060301)
PXE - E61:MEDIA FAILURE TEST. CHECK THE CABLE OF
PXE - MOF: EXITING PXE ROM

This message is repeated over and over again.
Try to start Vista in safe mode do not work as well.

So I was wondering, what might have caused the problem with the soundcard (Realtek) and how I may be able to fix it
I really hope that one of you could help me fix.

    Best regards!
    Chris

    Hello Chris

This post has nothing to do with the sound card, but with the network card.

Problem is that your laptop can not find boot device. In the BIOS you can set boot priority settings and devices are together should be defined as device of first, second and so on bootable.
Usually HDD is set to optical disc drive first one, as the second, LAN as third. Start the laptop computer he tries to boot from the HARD drive. If there is something wrong portable following defined peripheral research and try to start.

In your case HDD is not available somehow. There is no bootable media in the optical disc drive, and the search for the next available device specifications and this device is LAN card. Of course he cannot start too, and because of that you get this message check cable.

In order to check you BIOS and devices defined in the Startup tab settings please.
You can also after the start press F12 to see if the HDD is listed there.

    Please post the result.

  • Major issue after installed Windows 10 own attempt Y500

Idea pad Y500. 1 TB hd with 25 GB SSD. I upgraded from Windows 8.1 for Windows 10 yesterday. It went well, but I wanted a clean install. I found my new Windows key in case I needed it. He got 16 percent and has grown steadily for 12 hours. So I did a hard reboot, it asked if I wanted to continue 10 Windows, I said yes, then he attempted to restart. It is now now stuck in a reboot loop, where it it is only on the Lenovo screen at the first reboot, nothing indicates that Windows is still there. It restarts every 20 seconds or if... I have no idea what to do now.

I saw a video of a person with a desktop computer that has disconnected their solid state drive to solve their problem of Windows. Has anyone tried this before? I'd take maybe in there, but I am in Ecuador and do not speak Spanish. I won't be in the States for months...

I was able to remedy. Windows loaded ten from another computer on a flash drive. Tried all the options load Windows ten Setup/BIOS and none of them would work. Said that my discs were badly formatted. Finally, I disconnected the flash player and magically it started with a new copy of Windows 8. I have redownloaded Windows 10 and loaded, now it works perfectly.

There is a good chance that the disk check running the Recovery Console will solve the problem.

    1. Insert the Windows XP CD in your CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. If you are prompted, select any options needed to start (boot) on the CD.

    2. when the text portion of Setup begins, follow the prompts. Select the repair or recovery option by pressing R.

    3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot system, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.

    4. When you are prompted, type the administrator password. If you have not set a password for the account admin simply press on enter

    5. at the command prompt, type chkdsk/r > press ENTER. (Note: there is a space between the slash and the letter k).

    6. at the end of the output of scan type > press ENTER.

  • PC in a cycle of restarting after power surge

    Win XP SP 2
    NVIDIA 8800 GTS

    P5N32 SLI
    Hi guys,.
I hope someone can throw me a BONE here, because I don't know which way to go with this.
Basically, power surge last night, my PC will now in a cycle of infinite when turned on reboot.
I can't start in safe mode, as it hangs on the list of files. Cannot start last well-known, cannot start from the CD, at the risk of going as far as "Checking hardware" and restart.
So, essentially I can't anything. I guess it's obvious that some hardware is fried, but I can't afford to replace things to chance - any suggestions on probable causes, or ways I can limit?
    Thank you
    KeV

    Hi KevTM,

    Method 1:

I suggest to disable automatic system error reboot and check the error message.

Prevents Windows from automatically restarting if an error of Windows to fail. Choose that this option only if Windows is stuck in a loop where Windows fails, attempts to restart, and fails again repeatedly.

To do this, follow the steps below.

To start Windows in safe mode, follow these steps:

    a. click on the electric start button
    b. to enter the Windows xp advanced startup option.
    c. when the computer starts up press and hold your "F8 key" who should bring up the "Menu Options advances of Windows". "»
    d. use your arrow to switch to "disable automatic system failure reboot" and press your enter key.

Here, you will need to check the error message or you receive an error code.

    Method 2:

Try to disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer except the mouse and keyboard and try to start the computer and check.
