Elegant keyboard / mouse combo - Link-5 question

I recently bought a HP combo elegant key/mouse wireless.

However, I prefer a mouse with extra side so buttons and more, I bought a HP X 6000 Wireless Mouse that comes with the receiver dongle USB Link-5.

I was hoping to only use a USB receiver to connect both elegant wireless keyboard (P/n: 672648-002) and mouse wireless X 6000, but it did not work.  I don't know if the keyboard is compatible with Link-5 or the receiver combo-compatible mouse.

Is it possible to use one of these dongles for two devices?

Thank you

Julz77, welcome to the forum.

It is my understanding that technology receiver dongle USB Link-5 requires the firmware on the side of the device and the USB receiver.  It is supposed to work with only a family of devices.  I doubt that the mouse X 6000 has the necessary firmware.

The answer is that the provider does not sell this part separately so there is no part number. Owner RF bluetooth isn't so you can't order a generic dongle and operate.

  • Keyboard-mouse 5188-6816: is a replacement USB connector for a keyboard 5188-6816

Keyboard-mouse 5188-6816 has stopped working.  The "connect" to connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB connector no light no more on the USB connector.  Technical support said I had to replace the USB connector.  Are offered through HP?  How can I find one?

Your 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard mouse combo is not delivered with a usb cable.

It uses a usb dongle which connects the keyboard and mouse to the PC destop wireless.

You can't buy a replacement dongle.

A wireless dongle is coded permanently to the pairs of keyboards and mouse at the plant combos.

Your technical support must have told you that.

If your keyboard was bluetooth it would have been a different story and a generic Bluetooth dongle replacement could have been bought.

    Hello

It really doesn't matter a lot in fact. The software runs only when it detects compatible hardware is connected.

    But here's what I'd do.

Download and install the latest version of the software Microsoft Mouse and keyboard
Link to the latest drivers: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/download.aspx?category=MK
Unplug your mouse and your keyboard and plug the keyboard and Microsoft mouse.
Uninstall the software keyboard and mouse HP

    Hi s lyle,.

    1. what operating system is installed in your machine?
2 have you installed updated drivers for your combo logitech keyboard/mouse logitech mk320 wireless?
    3. What mail client do you use?

I don't think it's a fault of Microsoft, since the problem occurs with a logitech product.

However, you can follow the steps below:

    Step 1:

I suggest that you install the latest updates from their Web site .

    Step 2:

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers logitech MK320.

    a. Click Start and right click on computer and select manage. This will bring the computer management window, now on the left sidebar, select Device Manager.

    (b) then go to the keyboard and do a right-click on its name and click on uninstall.

To reinstall the drivers, right click on the name of your keyboard and click Update driver software.

    c. you have two options here, click the option that reads «Search automatically for a driver software updated»

    Hello

    ·         Were there recent changes made on the computer before the show?

We recommend to use a different mouse and keyboard, then check the result. If the problem persists, try the following steps.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

I suggest to boot into the BIOS and check if keyboard and mouse are getting detected.

    Warning of the BIOS:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Step 2:

I suggest to start in safe mode and check if you are facing a similar question.

Try to complete the restore of the system in safe mode and check if it helps.

  • Inspiron 17R SE 7720 wake from its slumber when the lid is closed through the usb keyboard/mouse

So I have an Inspiron 17R SE 7720 which has all of the latest drivers with BIOS A11 (Win 7 Ultimate x 64)...  I have all the settings properly configured for sleep power (no hibernation), however no matter what I try, I can't get the laptop to wake up when the lid is closed through USB keyboard.

I use a combo of MK560 Wave from Logitech (unifying receiver) - keyboard and mouse have the wake-up option enabled in the settings of their material.  I also wake up from USB enabled in the BIOS.

What is interesting is that if I put the computer to sleep with the lid open, I can do/wake it from Logitech devices.  With the lid closed, I can only do sleep - the only way to wake up, he is to open the cover and press the power button.

Anyone know a solution to this?

    Cliffs Notes:

Cover open: CAN sleep/wake from USB keyboard/mouse

Cover closed: can sleep ONLY - don't wake up if I open the Start button / cover & press

It seems that a new A13 BIOS was released on 18 March, all it says in the section '' correction '' is to "maintain the release." Download it now and see if it fixed more on the question of the USB.

  • Loss of the BT connection after hibernation/standby and cannot associate BT keyboard + mouse

I have a laptop from another manufacturer with a stack of Toshiba v4.00.31 BT.
I tried to pair it with a Logitech diNovo keyboard, media and the mouse pad.

Question 1: could not connect all three at the same time (can only do 2)

Question 2: when the laptop hibernates / goes on stand by, I can't reconnect to the keyboard and mouse - I have to remove and repair

The Bluetooth stack seems to be old. Try to update first to make sure that all the features (especially power save) of your new hardware Bluetooth (mouse) are supported.

  • WANT TS 23-k300xt RE: USB receiver preinstalled for keyboard/mouse wireless

The new all-in-one arrived yesterday.  In the excitement, I did not notice something VERY important.  The USB receiver for the keyboard and the mouse was not in sight.  My intention was to use my old MS7000 ergonomic wireless devices, as I have arthritis very bad in my hands and the ergonomic keyboard is extremely useful.  YES, I'm a QWERTY typing with both hands!

Even if I can't use the MS7000, I need the keyboard and I use the MS ones since their introduction.  I'd rather stick to what I know.

After an hour conversation with HP customer service this AM, I'm totally frustrated.  Basically, I was told that USB cannot be turned off, and I'm stuck with the keyboard and mouse HP.   It is the MATERIAL.  Why can't it be disabled or deleted? (If it was broken?) WHY do I have it preinstalled?  Horrible design!

I hope that I was just uninformed!  Help, please.

You have been misinformed if your laptop was delvered with a wireless HP Clavier\souris combo.

There is a usb wifi dongle receiver in the bottom of the display if your office is deilvered with a mouse\keyboard usb combo. You can remove it to disable. You can also use the control panel to turn off the device to use.

See the video at the following ADDRESS. Click usb dongle to view the procedure to remove the dongle.
