• AHCI for Windows professional XP on Elitebook 2560p drivers

  Due to a specific part of the software, I'm trying to install Windows XP on an EliteBook 2560p with drivers for the SATA AHCI controller.  Where can I get these drivers, and what is the best way to install?  I guess that since the laptop doesn't have a floppy drive I need to incorporate them into my XP CD?  What is the specific chipset driver? -from what I've seen on the page from Intel, there are a bunch of different options; ICH10d, ICH10R, ICH7M, etc, etc.

  I have a HP EliteBook 2560p w / 8gig of RAM, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I don't know the latest version of the BIOS.

  You should definitely be able to disable the touchpad in the settings. Try following these steps to see if you can find the option "Disable the TouchPad" in the settings.

  Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad settings >

  (repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

  CHECK the "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

  CHECK "Switch TouchPad" for a session

  This should disable your touchpad. Let me know if this does not work.

  I have a printer Canon D661 on an Ispiron Dell s 545 under Win XP SP3.  Everything worked fine until today when he leaves the impression.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the printer through Windows and through the uninstalling Canon.

  I tried what you suggested, but it did not work.

  Finally, I got it going.  For some reason even if it was still installed on LPT1 on that question and two other computers, this computer has stopped working.

  I found the installer was not obvious choice to install on USB1 and that was when he started working.
