  If at any time the upgrade fails, Windows Anytime Upgrade Fail:

  Shut down and restart your computer.

  Make sure that the Windows updates have been installed.

  Click on "Run as Administrator"

  At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

  When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

  1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

  3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

• Satellite L500 - after Windows 7 upgrade games does not work in mode full screen

  Hello..

  I just received my upgrade to windows 7 in the mail and I installed it and all is well...

  But if I run a game that is not in the same as the computer screen resulution is a square in the middle of the screen and it is two big black lines down on each side. It does not put the game in full screen. The games in the same resulution works very well.

  Have you tried to update the display driver? Maybe you have an older version that is not fully compatible with Windows 7. Just check the Web from Toshiba site to get the latest version:

  Normally for mode full screen in games you choose the native screen resolution of your screen there.
  Check this box!

  I suspect you got a key to upgrade from vista to win 8.  Have you installed vista first when you put the new HD in?

  Windows Anytime Upgrade is not available in some editions of Windows 7. If you have a professional Windows 7 volume license, you may not use Windows Anytime Upgrade upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate.

  Afteer upgrade to Win 8, the WiFi of my Satellite L670-128 has stopped working properly.

  For example; Disable wireless encryption on your router and Wifi connectivity with the open network do that just for testing purposes, perhaps you will need to change the type of encryption to test.
