  • Interfacing with several unknown USB devices; all producing NMEA strings

    Hi all

Question about the peripheral USB interface and their associated drivers.

I have the obligation to build an application that interacts with the USB devices that produce NMEA strings. I have the library to parse NMEA strings, but I fight with interfacing with several unknown USB devices. When deploying applications, I know not all possible USB devices to use.

Is it possible to produce one driver who will accept any USB device strings?

Or, more likely, is there a way to get the LV to recognize a connected USB device and automatically find / install the driver like windows does and is it possible to do in a deployed application?

I had a trawl of the forums, but I've not found anything that specific.

Thanks, I really appreciate the help.

About the VI "set up the serial port", my problem is that the choice of COM port is in a separate menu (not directly related to the VI) and it allows all possible COM ports to be selected. That can be addressed.

I am not expecting an all-in-one solution but asked the question in case it was possible.

What I realized, is that for my specific condition to read strings from a USB device. It is likely to be sent over a serial connection. LV can handle this well and easily assuming the device has the installed driver / settings are available.

LV (and indeed any other program) will not work without a device driver / settings. In this case, parameters set must be found (error) / a USB RAW driver would need to be developed. Devices requirng a RAW USB driver would need a serious review to continue due to the time and effort required. All this effort is work inherited from the AIDS to navigation

I appreciate any help and I think I got the answer I was looking for! Thank you very much

  • USB human interface with the brand lleyow

Please I frequently have problem with usb human interface with the brand of lleyow next to bet.

Pease how can I fix this problem driver version 6.0.6000.16386 windows vista pk2 thanks

    Hi thonson35,

    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Do you have any human Interface device attached to the computer which does not (such as the keyboard, mouse and joysticks)?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall all devices interface. Follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type device Search Manager and press to enter.

    2. Device Manager window opens, expand Interface devices.

3 right-click every device under the peripheral Interface node and then click on uninstall to remove them one at a time.

4 restart your computer, windows will reinstall the Human Interface Devices.

    5. perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

  • How do I turn 3 forms different finite life span of output voltages and synchronize the other with an input channel?

    Hello

I'm doing a tension of 3-story ramp.  One who goes from 0V to-1V can-1V to + 1V and finally wear the voltage of + 1V to 0V.  The main feature is that I try to sync input only a channel for the median ramp.  I get the expected input but my output voltage on the oscilloscope is not correct.  The entry and exit and goes a box NI USB-6229. On the oscilloscope, you can consider the following issues:

    1. There is a gap between the end of the 1st ramp and the beginning of the 2nd ramp

    2. once the main finished once, ramp voltage immediately returned to-1V and again another ramp until it reaches 0V, then levels out for another short period of time

    3. the cycle then repeated from the beginning, completely missing ramp 3

If all those who think they might help in any way, I would appreciate any input.  If someone tries the attached program: I used these settings: entry rate = 1000; #data points = 200; DT = 0.0005

    -Kyle Shiel

If you want to copy your ramp of 3 floors without any pause between steps, you must accumulate the entire waveform (all 3 steps concatenated) and write in your output task at once (similar format This example, but no need to start and you need to replace with your own generated table waveform).

I would just at the entrance to the beginning of the analog analog output task.  You can use the DAQmx Trigger Start.Delay property if you want to wait for the 2nd phase begin to acquire, or you could simply acquire all 3 steps and analyze what you need.

  • How to control several input channels analog daqmx for data acquisition trigger (all on the same SMU-6368)

Using the SMU-6368 module, I would like to monitor the analog signal on multiple channels and trigger on several channels - relaxation and acquisition channels is all on the same device. Probably going to be sampling at 200 kHz and more. FM LV 2009 2012, with SV toolkit in Windows 7.

If SW trigger is the only way to follow, there example code shows how to manage the block size, etc.. ?

    jkessler,

Yes, the example was in 2012.  I didn't get what you asked for in your first post because I didn't know you wanted to ANY channel to trigger acquisition of all channels.  It is not possible at the hardware level, because you cannot specify four channels as the command source. This will be implemented in the software.  I recommend the reading of all four channels and neglecting data until you determine that one of the channels reached your threshold value.

  • The sound of some mp3 saturated in WMP11 when read by interface usb audio, but they play fine in iTunes

    Help, going crazy here!

With MP3 encoded at 320 kbps with 48 kHz sampling frequency, I get a terrible distortion when play on WMP11 on my MAudio Mobile Pre USB audio interface. When the MP3 is playing in WMP11 by the internal sound card and built-in Laptop speakers, that the sound is not distorted, except that he is from small tinny speakers. If you think that the Pre Mobile is the culprit, but...

I have the latest driver for MAudio and Mobile meadow has been installed correctly, I can play MP3s that are 320 kbps with sampling frequency of 44.1 KHz without problems through the external audio interface.

In addition, iTunes plays the same 320 kbps, 48 KHz MP3, out through the pre Mobile and they play very well, no distortion at all (?)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled WMP11 without success, downloaded codecs updated, tried to disable the throttling of the CPU and various other things with no results.

I look forward to use iTunes, because it is so slow, I'd like WMP11 to work with these 48 kHz mp3s and I have a bunch of them, so I really want to convert them to 44.1 Khz. Not only that, the deformation occurs also with a lot of video files (AVI), where I think the sound is coded in 48 kHz.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Dennyinredding, that seemed to work and it is not SLOW as iTunes, thanks for the suggestion!

  • Audio recording with Satellite L300

I have a USB audio interface I want to use for recording audio with the webcam and other software. I can control the sound via the USB interface, but can not save.
In the AR for my key USB is not listed as a webcam feature, so I can't select it, only the built in microphone realtek.

    Any help much appreciated!

    Chris

    Hello

I see that this laptop supports the Realtek audio chip.
If I don't me wrong not in control-> Realtek audio Manager Panel, you should find a few options that could affect the output sound and recording of m.

Check sound effects are enabled. You can find the options called cancellation of removal of noise and acoustic echo which could have an influence on the sound recording

I don't know why you ve of the questions, but I presume that it s a few sound settings and other software m

By the way; You can download the driver of his newest Realtek page

  • The interface usb audio of Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD work with Garageband?

I just got an interface USB 4 channels for recording guitars and microphones. It has no driver, but instead uses the Mac OS. I implemented the sound control panel to recognize the device input and output, can I use the Audio configuration utility and MIDI to fit a recording at 192000HZ.

My problem is that as soon as I open GarageBand 192000HZ setting falls down to it is more low 44100 HZ. It is a flaw with the audio interface Behringer or is it a problem of system software?

I will mix Behringer messages on this problem, a guy says that the interface has a bad component castigates other Garageband.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone with any interface from Behringer, who used it to 192000HZ using Garageband.  Any other comments welcome.

I have this problem on 3 different computers using systems to a new installation of 10.11 10.6.8. A few different USB cables. More recently, on an I7 Mini with memory 16 concerts with 10.11.6. Currently on Garageband 10, but the same problem with Garageband 6

I talked to an Apple technician and the answer is that Apple has "capped" sampling in 441000HZ setting.

Thus, in spite of the box is designed to accept 192000Hz sampling, apparently GarageBand has been paralyzed for a lower sampling only to the adjustment system. Another program audio I, Amadeus Pro, has no difficulty with the parameter to 192000.

    TSK, tsk Apple...

  • USB & Firewire audio interface ports still work as input and output?

I guess everyone has to start somewhere, even if it is borne by almost everyone I would like to know the answer to my questions, perhaps with good reason, what I don't know is so if the USB ports unique connection and firewire on an audio interface function ALWAYS both as input AND output.  In other words, whenever I read the information about the product on audio interfaces, no matter where I go, it is generally accepted that most people buy their audio interface for RECORDING.  And so when most people talk about connecting their Apple computer, iMac or MacBook Pro, it is generally accepted, they turn to the USB as INPUT.  That's all very well and good.  But in my case, I want to use the USB port as output (not the taken mini) and go into an audio interface that gives me as a symmetric output signal that I can plug my amplified studio monitor (which has only a balanced XLR input). All of the examples I see with audio interfaces address registration and involve the use of the USB on the audio input interface.

So my question is: can one USB port I see on any number of audio interfaces always function both of the inputs and outputs? It takes, but if so, why does any site mention this fact and whey didn't they show in all the diagrams of the audio interface manual hook to studio monitors?  I know what may be obvious to some, but as a user with the intention not to use a piano for a scene while but rather a keyboard/MIDI controller that is attached to the iMac to be able to use the virtual instrument software, I need to go to the controller to the iMac, then the iMac in symmetrical powered monitors. Do the balanced inputs of speakers requires more than a simple adapter to give the President a balanced input.  But nobody talks about audio interfaces usually unless they talk about as a way into the computer to record.  As for my situation? Why don't they include this example?  And why should they assume that novice will automatically KNOW that the usb port, an audio interface will work as an output as if they never EVER mention this example or Setup?  I guess it is to operate in both directions!  But really, I'm crazy to wonder when no one never speaks or shows this configuration? He suggested I buy something similar to a UR22MkII of Steinberg, who has a USB port. Even the Steinberg site speaks only records and so using the USB key as input for use with the recording software. There is no mention of its use out the mac in balanced speaker entries, even in the manual. In fact, it is question is always true for every audio interface manual that I watched, even by other manufacturers! Why they all assume a novice like me (whose money is just as good as money from the experienced user) KNOW that? It's frustrating!

I know that this is not strictly a matter of logic, but I guess, in my view correctly, that a logic user community could be more appropriate to address my question for others communities. If I'm wrong, please help to re-send-the matter.  Thank you.

Sound the interface itself that determines it can send and receive Audio or Midi... not the USB or FW port which both are devices of e/s...

All USB and Midi peripheral FW are inputs and outputs

All the USB and Audio FW are inputs and outputs...

All devices USB or external hardware with a USB port... can handle Midi and Audio...  Some do... Most manipulate just Midi... or just Audio

The Steinberg UR22MkII manages Audio and Midi...

However, I do not recommend USB 2.0 audio devices... There are simply too many cases, problems and questions after the major updates for OS X with such devices especially when they are class compliant (IE without driver), even if the UR22MkII Steinberg is supposed to be compatible 10.11...

View the other may vary... because it's just a personal opinion based on my past experiences both in my studio... and based on the many issues presented here and elsewhere.

I'm sticking with Motu equipment for all my Audio devices... and I use iConnect devices for my Midi needs...

  • Satellite L670-1HD - problem with audio interfaces USB 1.1

    Hello

I have a Toshiba L670-1HD with an Intel HM55 chipset, and an Intel Core i5 460M processor. I use this machine for my music software and that's why I use different audio interfaces external and USB-MIDI-Controller with build in audio interface like Mixvibes U - Mix Control Pro (http://www.mixvibes.com/content/u-mix-control-pro). These built-in audio interface are connected via USB 1.1. Always when I use this audio interfaces interfaces crash audio internalt - the sound is cracked very hard and there are noises in. The controller of all crashes sometimes too.
When I use another interface audio as an audio interface Hercules DJ Trim 4 & 6 (http://www.hercules.com/uk/DJ-Music/bdd/p/102/deejay-trim-4-6/), which is a USB 2.0, everything works fine. No crashes, no cracks and no noise.
You could say now that there is no problem and I should stick to the Hercules interface if it does no problem. The problem is that the Hercules is an audio interface only, there is no controller in it with which I can control my music software.

I've updated all the drivers from the support page of this site without success. Is there a solution available or the Toshiba knows this subject? Am I the only one having this problem?

Would be nice if a Toshiba official support employer could respond to this message. But this does not mean that I don't want to read somethng submitted by the user for which an index - all Board/Council/recommendation is welcome.

Thanks in advance for the help!

    See you soon,.

    Stefan

    Hello Stefan

In my view, you see the problem from the wrong point of view.
Toshiba and each laptop manufacturer offer product and hardware and software support. So if there is a general problem with the functionality of the material you are by Toshiba on the right address.

You use a third party and that you have some problems. Do you really believe Toshiba should support you and help to get this external peripheral work? In my opinion not. On the market, there are thousands of different devices and laptop computer how of the manufacturer must be able to test each of them and offer a solution?
Something like that is definitely not possible.

In my opinion, you should communicate with Mixvibes and ask for help. They have the best experience with own product and I presume that they are testing the features on different PC/laptop platforms.
They should know how the device should work on new laptops with USB 2.0.

It seems silly now, but Toshiba has nothing to do with it. If you have a general problem with the USB ports and they don t work with different devices that Toshiba should ask for help.

  • USB-6008 LABVIEW 8.2. SINGLE CHANNEL WITH DBL INPUT VOLTAGE OUTPUT COMPARISON

I AM WRITING A PROGRAM THAT USES A SIMPLE USB-6008 ANALOG INPUT CHANNEL. I WANT TO READ CONTINUOUSLY THE VOLTAGE FOR 60 SECONDS. I WANT TO COMPARE A TENSION FOR THE PREVIOUS OF THIS SAME CHANNEL VOLTAGE, MAINLY FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME MAX VOLTAGE GIVEN, THEN GET A FINAL VOLTAGE READING. THE OUTPUT OF THE VI IS A DBL. I WANT ONLY TWO TENSIONS OF EXPORT TO EXCEL. TO SAVE TIME, I KNOW HOW TO EXPORT. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS ONE.

VI needs an register shift related to the Max & Min function. The current value would be the entrance is and the entrance of x is the left shift register. The max value gets wired for the shift register to the right. Don't forget to initialize it. The output of the shift register is the max you would write and the value of the DAQmx Read out of the loop of wire will give you the last reading.

Your waiting for 45 seconds makes no sense since you said that you wanted to read continuously. You also said that you wanted to read 60 seconds and all this logic is missing. A simple function of time elapsed, it's all you need.

  • Dell inspiron one a HDMI input with output usb audio

Hi, I recently bought a dell inspiron one 2330 and some of my blu - ray high-fidelity discs do not work very well at all. :(un peu déçu car c'était la principale raison que je l'ai acheté.)

So I tried my blu - ray player in the HDMI port, but now it only uses the computer speakers not my B & W Zeppelin air via the USB input.

If advice how to fix the blu - ray glitch player that seems to start and stop on most of my records or produce audio output to HDMI input to the USB port would be much appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

Which seems to indicate a problem with your video card. The cooling works may not properly. I would contact Dell on the replacement of it. This may explain the poor video performance.

  • Audition CC 2016 Record 2 microphones with the help of the audio interface

I have two Audio Technica microphones running via an Audiobox USB interface, in my Macbook Pro (OS X El Capitan). Whenever I hit the record, I can never get mic 1 to work. How can I solve this problem and get the two microphones to record? I'm pretty new to this software and I found dated solutions which are not yet proven to be useful.

    Thank you.

Well, it should be relatively simple.

First, go to the menu Edition/Preferences/Audio Hardware.  Make sure that the Audiobox and its pilots are set for record and playback devices.  M-Audio interfaces so the exact wording will be a little different, but it should be fairly easy to identify the right device and I use a Windows machine.   Notice that under Windows my perhaps to go back to the Windows audio control and configure the Presonus as default device, so there is a chance that you might have to go to Core Audio and similar - this is normally not the case.

Then, you're probably better of recording in multitrack display for each microphone can have its own channel.  Go to File/New/multitrack Session and fill in the details, you are prompted to specify a name, sample and depth etc. of bit rate.

Then the bit important: on the multitrack display, there is a box at the left end of each track with things like level and Pan control and... important to you... the input switch.  It is a box and more a straight arrow.  Click on this and a drop-down menu, you can select Mono, stereo, or a few other options.   Select Mono and this, in turn, will give you a drop-down list with the available inputs.  Still, the exact wording will vary with interface you but you should find something like "Presonus Mic 1" or similar.   What to choose.

Repeat the operation on track 2, but this time choose the second entry.

Arming the two recording channels (the Red R in the same area at the left end of the track) and then when you hit the record on the transport controls, 1 Mic will be on track 1 and track 2 Mic 2.  Notes that, according to what you want to save, could have selected stereo and used two microphones that left and right in a piece... but I prefer to keep things separate and mixing down to stereo later - just a personal preference.

Note that if you you save in this format much, you can save this configuration as a model of session to avoid having to define individual tracks every time.   Just set yourself up, then press file/export/Session model before recording anything.   You will then be offered your model on the new multitrack Session each time that you start a new project.

    I hope this helps.

  • Crackling with Thunderbolt resident Audio interface

    Hello

I just bought a new Macbook Pro 15 inch retina, installed with El Capitan 10.11.4 and Logic Pro X, with a new interface reside Audio T4 Thunderbolt, and there is a cracking and sound distortion, crossing the input string. The output is very good. Sometimes the crackling can range from 30 minutes without past and other times it is constant. Unplug and plug cable Thunderbolt and change the port, it can do a little better or worse elsewhere. The crackling and distortion has also nothing to do with the entry levels. I tried:

    • Replace all cables (audio, stroke, etc.).
    • Disconnect other USB devices and even the power of the computer agreement. Also unplugged all other cables, including lunch, from the interface.
    • Purchase of an ALL-NEW resident Audio T4 interface, thinking the problem was inside the unit. It wasn't.
    • Update, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers to interface
    • Turn off the Thunderbolt bridge under 'network '.
    • Make sure bit depth was the same on the interface and macbook

I read on other musicians recording in trouble with DAWs and interfaces after the upgrade of the El Capitan, but not with this problem. This is my first time to go from a mac to a PC and am quite impressed so far. I'm grateful for any help.

For me, when crackle happens "at any time", it is a good indication of low buffer I/O.

Open CMD-comma logic preferences and click the "Audio" tab at the top. Then, make sure that you are on the "Devices" menu Input and output device are your interface. And nothing below your IO buffer size. try increasing this value to 128, 256, 512 and so on. In other words, the buffer is a small part of the memory where the incoming audio stream is buffered and the CPU can perform any processing required on this subject. If the CPU can't get enough data quickly enough, it starts to sizzle. More a buffer gives the CPU more time to perform a treatment. Usually, this is the case for systems with many things, for example, dozens of simultaneous tracks with many plugins active or slow systems. However, this is not the case for your new, shiny things unless you really have dozens of titles and many plugins per track. Or all of a sudden some background process kicks in and use the time processor and disk, such as a Time Machine backup and others.

Make sure you plugged your audio interface directly to the Mac, not a hub or something. This introduces a latency and the buffer drains faster.

    Give it a try.

  • Update iOS 9.2 ceased to iPad Air working with audio interfaces

ios9.2 was last updated stopped my ipad, being able to work with my a peak interface. Unbearable noise on the two input channels when recording in GarageBand or other audio program.

no solution of the next Apple or apogee. Grid have released at least a positive tovthe update software (even if it doesn't at least they try)

I thought the score using such a product locked as an iPad mean everything should work together... how wrong I was.

    All solutions?

    P

I know how it feels, bro. It happens again and again because Apple focus only on build-in apps without looking professional applications and the needs of professionals. I remember how I had to write to the bracket of Novation, because their audio interface no longer works with versions of Mac OS X. After each update Apple OS, something no longer works and we need to find alternatives to the result. And that is a problem. You can simply downgrade OS X, but you can't do the same thing with iOS.

You only have the ability to write at peak and wait for the update. Apple support is more useless than Microsoft - it does not at all
