Satellite L500 - after Windows 7 upgrade games does not work in mode full screen

Hello..

I just received my upgrade to windows 7 in the mail and I installed it and all is well...

But if I run a game that is not in the same as the computer screen resulution is a square in the middle of the screen and it is two big black lines down on each side. It does not put the game in full screen. The games in the same resulution works very well.

Some games may be put to the resulution have this computer.

How can I do then come in full screen?

Thank you

Hello

Have you tried to update the display driver? Maybe you have an older version that is not fully compatible with Windows 7. Just check the Web from Toshiba site to get the latest version:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Normally for mode full screen in games you choose the native screen resolution of your screen there.
Check this box!

And it would be interesting to know in what games this problem exists

Buy a usb-wlan card is not an option, as wireless mice is already "permanently" reserving one of the three usb ports and wlan card it would be just to the left...

To my knowledge this L670 series isn t Win 8 taken in charge and this means that there is no special Win 8 drivers for this device, so I put t think you will find an another Win 8 driver for this WLan card.

But do you really want to throw this laptop in the trash just because the wifi does not work properly running Win 8?
The device was working properly under Win 7?

I would recommend running a few Wlan test.
For example; Disable wireless encryption on your router and Wifi connectivity with the open network do that just for testing purposes, perhaps you will need to change the type of encryption to test.

  • Acer Windows 7 upgrade kit does NOT work!

Hi I have an Acer Aspire 5538 (4 GB of RAM and 220 GB of memory) I'm trying to upgrade to Windows (vista and both are family premium). I read elsewhere on the site that someone had the same problem as me and earasing everything on computer seemed to have worked according to your suggestions (so I did and put everything on my USB). Later, I used the "dics ghost" factory, which deletes the database from the computer to the factory settings. So I'm trying to upgrade and the first CD has worked well "Acer upgrade disc. Now, when I put in the second one it says that my pc is not compatible, and that my pc must be x 86 (32-bit) or x 64 (64-bit). I went into the "system information", and it clearly states "x 86 based PC" until I do?. The second disk named: "Windows 7 upgrade media" does not work!

After trying to upgrade my OS Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional, I received the following message:

    "Enter a different upgrade key
The upgrade key that you entered is for an edition of Windows that does not work with Windows Anytime Upgrade.  Enter a different key. »

Just to be sure, I tried upgrading several times, but got the same message.
Due to manufacturing defects, my laptop had to be repaired three times.  The motherboard has been replaced twice, the hard drive has been replaced three times and the processor once.  In fact, just a year last month, it still does not properly.  I bought the Windows Anytime Upgrade [upgrade to Windows 7 Professional to Home Premium] at the same time that I buy my laptop. Each time, except this time, I got to spend my OS.
The operating system on my laptop is now Windows 7 Home Premium [SP1]
Another thing, I bought this laptop until I moved to the United States to Asia.  If this may have something to do with the problem that I am facing?
In any case, I hope you can help.  It is difficult to really buy a lemon manufacturing refuses to stand behind and now having this issue, where I can't upgrade the OS that I bought.

  • Satellite L500 - 1CQ PSLS0E - CD/DVD drive does not work - driver problem?

    Hello

My DVD player does not work.

There is power to it. The engine turns when I eject and reinsert. Troubleshooting Control Panel for the equipment and devices said it is a driver problem, but cannot fix it. Problem with the driver.

I reinstalled it from the Toshiba site.
It records in the right place?
I am Windows 7 64 bit and chose the right driver for it.

    Should I use the 64-bit?
I have 3 MB of RAM which was the spec when bought.

If I wanted to change to 32 bit how you take you without the CD/DVD drive?
Is there any point in doing this?

    Thank you

    Richard

    Hello

To be honest I m a bit confused.
You are not able to boot from THE disks; Windows disk, disk recovery, disk Linux?

If it of the case, then it means that your CD/DVD drive is faulty.
Why? Because the CD/DVD drive is recognized and controlled by the BIOS when booting from CD or DVD.

When the Windows operating system has started, the CD/DVD drive must use the Microsoft common driver which is part of the Windows operating system.
This means that you n t need to install ALL the drivers in order to get the job of CD/DVD.

If you can boot from any disk, but if the CD/DVD drive is not recognized by MY computer, then I recommend this:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-us

Before you remove the upper and lower registry filters, remove the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and then go into the registry and remove the filters. Restart the unit.

    Good luck

  • Re: Satellite L500 iCQ, as Volume Rotary control does not work

Front volume control does not work. Volume is set to maximum and can only be controlled by the mouse and the slider control.
    Can anyone help?

To be honest I don't think that anyone will be able to help you with this.
As far as I know that's not used such mechanical volume on older models of computers laptops, but electronically part controlled by software, so the only thing you can do is to test the functionality with the settings and see if the problem will be the same.

What else can you do? I do not know. Maybe update the BIOS, but I do not think that this will help you.

Do you use pre-installed OS original you got with your laptop?
Have you made some changes or anything that can have a negative influence in this?
Since when you noticed this strange behavior?

  • LR does not open in mode full screen.

It is probably trivial, but it makes me crazy. I always use LR mode full-screen. But whenever I open it, it always opens in the mode window collpsed. Never the way that I closed it fullscreen. This is intended to, or is there a setting somewhere that I just haven't found?

Hi all, I have a satellite toshiba L500 running windows 7. iprimus have used wireless internet, no problem for a few weeks before that, used it via an ethernet cable as I didnth ave a wireless modem. my phone was off load the other night and went flat, next morning when I woke up and turned on, it wouldnrt to connect to internet after hours and hours of phone calls, iprimus and many resets winsock, ethernet and modem reset cable tests they tell me that the problem is in my laptop...

(forgot to add with the confusion iprimus someone had reset my passowrd and I had to configure to the laptop...)

Anyway, after all of these calls, I did a full restore of the computer laptop, all deleted and reinstalled everything and then reinstall the modem. This time in the configuration of the modem, he told me the wireless network adapter was unplugged and let me only implemented via ethernet...

now earlier today, I had the internet... but he dropped randomly... pages Web will go slow, sometimes it will reconnect, sometimes he used. now I thougbht could try and uninstall and reinstall the modem again, s soul mistake and this time, can not get the wireless at all.

Ive google to see if others have had this problem... and seeing what others has written, I went into my battery settings and checked the WLAN will not in mode 'sleep', etc., and ive also checked everythings active. Ive no idea what do, or iprimus and Toshiba will give me answers, both companies are just to blame each other lol
    so I have

That s the best way to get rid of a client who has a problem, I know that those people who don't say, this is not my problem it problem computer laptop s ;)
I think that the guys running out of ideas.

    However, first try an update of the WLan driver;
NEST WLan driver can be downloaded here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

If new BIOS BIOS update would be available.
You should also check the advanced settings of the wireless network card.
To do this, go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab WLan card.

Here you can choose some settings that would improve performance

  • Satellite S70-B-10v - MMORPG online game does not work smoothly

    Hello.

I have an S70-B-10v type and im frustrated abit because I play this MMORPG game online and is not fluid.

Care about this game is average in virtue of what can do this trick:

    + Pentium 4 2.8 GHz or comparable CPU +.
    RAM: 1 GB for XP; 2 GB for Vista/Windows 7 +.
+ nVidia 6800GT with 256 MB of RAM or similar graphics card +.
+ Windows XP with SP3, Vista or Windows 7 +.
    + DirectX 9 compatible .0c sound card +.

My office which is as well under the Tower card can do better with this game...
My problem is... game is not fluid as should be.

The internet connection is via wifi, on desktop pc is running smooth.
    But on laptop?
I have to go to the min spec to be fluid?
I want to say... I paid almost 1000 euros on a laptop computer to play a game with min req?

I put all the stuff high-performance... then where is the problem?
    Boost is thus activated.

    Any ideas?
    Kind regards.

The configuration of your laptop is not known to us, and we do not know what software is active in the background. Of course, this can slow down your laptop.
Before starting the game don't forget that all unnecessary applications and processes are stopped.
Do not let Windows install the updates in the background or your antivirus application to scan the HARD drive.

    > I put all the stuff high-performance
I can imagine that some background process may be responsible for this.
