  Do you have what brand of RAM installed? Some brands will interrupt in modern Macs.

  It is possible that you hit a cooling fan connector while improving the RAM. Find the system of installation/restore disks accompanying you MBP and use them to run Apple Hardware Test. Instructions here:

  OS X Yosemite: use the Diagnostics of Apple or Apple Hardware Test

  That will be displayed if a fan has trouble.

The batteries in the keyboard run out in a few days and I have to replace them very often. This morning the keyboard doesn't quite work. The keyboard and the mouse still work. The batteries become very, very hot and I took now them. Even when I change the batteries in the keyboard does not work at all (I have replaced twice now) and the new batteries heat up less than a minute, so hot I can't touch them. What could be the problem?

• Spectrum of HP 13: HP spectrum extremely hot AND - is this normal? It's as if there is a band on the inside!

  Just received my spectrum 13 HP. After loading it and first used for about 2-3 hours, it becomes extremely hot (especially the part of gold). I don't know if this is normal, if anyone can share your experience?

  Also, when it is very hot, I checked back, and it's like a side (the left side as shown on the picture) of the space that the hot air coming out is like blocked by some plastic inside. It is what it is, or is this not normal?

  Mine is exactly the same. I never noticed that one side of the vents is blocked like that. But as I said I feel no overheating. We need to quantify the heat. One man's hot hot with another man and laptops become hot. If it's so hot you can't keep your hand there is too hot. Get hot just enough so that it is a little bit uncomfortable is not too hot.

  The device must not become "very hot".  It can become hot depending on what you do with it, and if it is connected and supported.  Your best bet would be to visit an Apple Retail store genius bar (if it is nearby).  Or, if there isn't one, your device comes with 90 days of support by complementary phone (assuming that you bought new), contact applecare one ask for their help.

  My Satellite L735 (Windows 7), which is about a year has recently begun warming up.

  After a maximum of 30 minutes, it becomes too hot to be kept on the knees. It warms primarily on the side of the vent. I am currently out of the country and would not be able to show it to the warranty Center.

  You know that's not easy to say anything on this subject. Usually, when the laptop is placed on the desk and when aeration is cooling system for laptop free s should be able to reduce the temperature of the material and cool all hardware components.

• EliteBook 8530w: cannot restore factory my 8530w

  Hello, I have an Elitebook 8530w. I'm in the process of factory reset it to a new user. I have encountered some problems try cela and would like to help. I would finally get windows 10 offered to, but the system struggled to settle after downloading, im guessing it was because of the upgrade to windows 7 and some files missing now for the current operating system.  It's what I know and have tried so far:

  native system with windows vista, but currently runs windows 7 Professional

  system installation disc came with the elitebook

  It seems through the upgrade 'recovery manager' and recovery partition drives have all been removed.

  HP said there is no "install windows vista disk" that they can send to factory reset.

  I tried the system of operating system recovery and there is no recovery Manager, only system restore. The system restore option allows me to restore up to a point, that are in the last few weeks, no option to factory settings. the other option, it gives me is to restore the system to the default settings, but requires a system installation disk. My professional XP disk does not appear to be an acceptable installation disc. no luck using the operating system to restore the factory settings.

  F11 at startup does nothing

  depressing repeated F10 when you start to take me to the BIOS menu, you can also get to this menu by pressing the ESC key at startup and then pressing F10 for bios menu.

  Legacy USB support is enabled in the BIOS

  and the CD-ROM drive is in the boot priority options, however his 4th on the list, I doubt that moving in priority would fix the issue, but I'm not sure.  ID be more than happy to answer any other question that would help me to overcome this problem. Mainly due to the update for win 7 pro, HP cant help seems because of the upgrade to win 7 Pro.

  With a model of laptop as far from the current generation than yours, it resets the factory default without the recovery partition or the set of recovery disks won't be possible.

  HP EliteBook were shipped with a HP Recovery Media Creator who allowed the owner to create a copy of the recovery media.

  F11 won't work without a recovery partition which has not been amended.

  You can buy a recovery disk of the HP partner according to the value.

  Sounds a little like the FL inverter would die.

  FL-converter is a small part that is placed close to the LCD screen and control the backlight.

  I think you need to contact a technician for laptop and the technician must check and if necessary replace it.

  An ASP (authorized service provider) has certified technicians and they will help you and that you can order a new replacement part, if necessary.

  What performance maximum CPU you have for the power saving mode? Check the Windows power management settings: start > Control Panel > Power Options.

  The plan for the power saving mode settings and make sure that the maximum performance of the CPU is at 100% for the power saving mode. This increases the performance of the computer.

  I have a Sat A200 toshy.
  Its about a year and a half.

  Still in warranty.

  I use it mainly to play games that I spend a lot of time.
  Mainly played world of warcraft. But with in the first 30 minutes of operation, it becomes so hot I can barely touch the keyboard.

  It has not overheated to the point where it is automatically turned off but I'm are afraid its not far.
  I have clean the CPU fan all the time and the fan is spinning madly, but its stil in the hot oven.

  Any ideas to try to cool down?

  Have you tried to clean the fan with compressed air jet?
  You can buy this by a local computer dealer and for that you should not disassemble the laptop.

  If you still have problems after that, I would go to a local ASP. Technicians can check your laptop parts and Exchange if necessary.

  I have an Elitebook 8530w that I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 64 - bit SP1 Professional. Everything works fine apart from the reported errors we find no driver for Serial Port of the PC and the controller PCI of communication Simple. I applied all the drivers updated etc that I can find to the 8530w but no joy. Can you point me to a download location for the correct drivers?

  Go to Device Manager and click on both of your unknown devices.  Then click on the Details tab.

  In the properties of the drop-down list, select the second element (Hardware ID).

  After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  Those who will be ID devices and I can send you the link to the drivers you need.

  I'm sure that this driver will take care of the simple PCI. So, you will only post the a missing aircraft.  This can take care of both of them. I just don't remember.
