Email from abroad on wifi blackBerry Smartphones

Hello!

Can I use the services of electronic mail by the default application abroad via wifi to save the coast of roaming?

BB OS 7.0

Thank you.

Hi BBAndrejs

You can use your BlackBerry® via Wi - Fi to overseas services to save money on roaming charges.  I recommend turning off your Mobile network option to ensure that your data services do not connect roaming.

Thank you

The installation of gmail with IMAP emails are delayed up to 15 minutes. I tried to return the service directories, but they are always retained.

OK, in this caseto get the Inbox only, you're stuck with a delay of 15 minutes via IMAP unfortunately.

You could try setting up the account on the BB normally and then configure the filters on your handheld. Open the folder of Gmail on the home screen, press the menu key and select "e-mail filters".

  • BlackBerry lost emails from my BB Curve 9300 Smartphone

Hello, it's already 3 or 4 times I lose all of my emails for a week! This means that I usually have all my emails from last 3 months (as I put it to keep 90 days), but all of a sudden, from one minute to the next I see only those in recent days.
If I do a search on the remote control, for a topic or email address, I can see all the and add them to the device that I still have in my PC running Outlook and that my BB is synchronized. However after a few weeks they all disappear again.
Would it be because of the lack of memory of my camera and how do I fix it? Thank you very much for the help.

Well, on a trip, it is notoriously difficult to study and solve problems with a mobile device. In general, all attempts at resolution required the device on his home network carrier and with access to admins BES to do things. In fact, I recommend that you don't do anything, while traveling... This could be done could actually cause more harm.

Fortunately, as you say, you have not really lost something... you said at the outset that the items remain on your PC in Outlook available. It's a good thing.

Your BES admins are really the only ones who can see this. If they need assistance, there is a separate section of the site where they may seek the advice of other administrators of BES.

    Good luck!

  • Email from being erased from the SMTP server blackBerry Smartphones

I have setup my Storm just to collect email from my personal account, which is in an area of SMTP in Windows Server (no Exchange). I see that when I get a message on the storm, it is immediately removed from the server, so my normal PC does not see everything. There is the option when you delete a message in the storm to remove only locally, or delete the copy on the server and local, but it seems to be a little too rambuncious! For now I have to delete my account off the coast of the storm, but I would really like to be able to use it for timely emails when I go out in the field.

And you were correct. I did a sniff of this ethernet on the SMTP server port and found an Exchange Server that has a Connector POP3 pointing on the account. Deleted the POP3 Connector (that Exchange server is not live yet) and the post office started acting normally.

My University has two WiFi; the "guarantee a ' it's a shame to see that I can't access it via my Bold 9900, then the 'Guest' network I always manually select the network of comments because it's the only one that works for me. I'll be happy and web browsing, when all of a sudden, my bb decides to move to the secure network because it is stronger at the moment. Please, any help would be great.

Hi even1etter and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

To avoid switching between available networks, remove your Wi - Fi registered the "secure" network networks  Go in manage connections, select the Wi - Fi network, and select saved Wi - Fi networks.  Highlight your 'secure' network, press the menu key and select Remove.

The BlackBerry smartphone will only transfer connections to saved Wi - Fi networks.

    Thank you.

  • How can I send an email from abroad in Belgium?

    Hello

I know this sounds like a stupid question but I am puzzled & in the hope that perhaps there is something more necessary that simply entering it personal email from someone.
I have a family member in Belgium who is on his deathbed, and his lawyer called me to ask I send an email from my computer in order to fax or scan paperwork.

He gave me the following email & I called back 3 times to make sure that I understand, because he came back as "undeliverable".

    * E-mail address is removed from the privacy *  (no limit) I tried with www. & even different computers & browsers. I am 100% positive, I got his e-mail correctly, but for some reason, I can't send from my office here in California.
My email has not changed in 12 years: * address email is removed from the privacy *.
Does anyone have any idea who need to use a special protocol for California in the Belgium?

    Thank you kindly, regarding Alan
He continued to come as 'undeliverable '!

The delivery status Notification (DSN) that you receive will tell you why the message could not be delivered. Different servers use different methods to provide a nondelivery report (NDR); It may be in the displayed part of the DSN or sent as an attachment (often with the *.dat extension), or you may need to see the message source to find. Looking for a line beginning Code of diagnosis.

If the NDR is an attachment, open it with Notepad to read. If you do not see a nondelivery report anywhere, select the DSN message in the list and press Ctrl-F3 to reveal the source of the message. Look carefully for the Code of diagnosis in a section called something like Content-Type: message/delivery status. If you do not understand it, post here if someone can help you interpret.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to receive emails from the BES to the smartphone

I'm having the same problem described in the overview of article KB11172and have tried all the solutions listed here, but nothing helps.  The strange thing is, I have 4 9630 s connected to my BES, 2 work well and 2 are not able to receive emails.  How could it be?  Something about handhelds?

    Please advise!

    Thanks for the help!

Yes, there is the exchange account and the account of Rogers on each device.

I solved since the question... it was a simple reboot of the BES.

    Thanks for the reply.

  • Email on newly acquired 8520 blackBerry Smartphones

I have just acquired a 8520 and would like to get my emails on this subject.  The problem is that for the moment he wants to get e-mail from a work email account using an enetrprise server, and of course I don't have access to that.  How can I get rid of the connection to a corporate server?  I really want to get just wifi BT using my normal e-mail addresses.

Do you have a data Plan BlackBerry enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You have to, to get the push RIM email functions you are looking for, as well as services of BlackBerry data such as the Web browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger and much more.

Then call your carrier and you learn about to have added to your account BlackBerry data Plan.

    Good luck.

  • WiFi blackBerry Smartphones Curve 9300 3 problem

    Hi, I recently got my first Blackberry - a 9300 3.

It seems impossible to connect to my home network via WiFi. I've implemented the BB with a manual setting that I have a non-broadcast SSID and password is correct. My router is a Netgear DG834GT. I have a laptop connected via WiFi so I don't know the router, WiFi & DSL is all operational.

I can sporadically, but not systematically, ping the router of the BB, but I can't ping a web address (for example google.com). I can't ping the BB from my PC, but an IP Scanner confirms that the BB is on the network.

My career has suggested a reboot, reinstall the firmware and turn WiFi off & on - everything I did.

I'm very knowledgeable PC, reasonably network aware, but a complete newbie to BB and smartphones.

    Any ideas?

Well, I've sorted - or rather Geek Squad pointed me the right direction.

It seems that the phone does not like the standard security WPA - PSK Protocol. While the router is recognized, the phone cannot communicate through the router.

Change the wireless security protocol on the router to WPA2-PSK has solved the problem. Of course, if you do this you must also change the Security Protocol on all your other devices on the wireless network, or else they may not work.

  • My menu wifi blackBerry smartphones is broken

My menu wifi is broken and rely on the wifi network menu... only an empty box with exclamation is delivered with an ok in it.

Works previously configured and saved wifi.

Please give a solution to this.

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Email issues with Bold 9790 blackBerry smartphones

I hope someone can help.  I was just in a Bold 9790.  Restored my backup (to a curve 9630).  Everything seems to work except...  When a new message arrives, the new email icon on the top of the screen.  And a new indication of e-mail (round red dot on my e-mail folder) is as follows.  but when I opened that folder, the new e-mail does not appear here.  I can access and read the new email by the new icon of e-mail on the top of the screen, but once read, this icon would have gone.  If I need to access this e-mail again, I have to go into display cases to find that email.  I checked that all email settings are correct.  There must be a setting that is not fair.  Please someone help.

Swith device must have done something weird.  Have you tried to remove the e-mail account, and then it readd?

You can manage the account of blackberry.com/integrate the device or

  • Wifi blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry application

    Hello

I'm trying to troubleshoot an end user with a problem, he saw. This particular user has had his invalid SIM card and only uses the Outlook on Blackberry via WiFi feature. He said that it connects at its connection to the home or the spot on his Samsung phone. Once it is connected to wifi, his mailbox and the calendar.

Since last Friday, his mailbox has not been updated. I was told by colleagues that it is not possible to access your e-mail in this mode, but this user is using this method for several months.

Please someone can confirm if it is actually possible to do this, or what could be causing the synchronization fails.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello and welcome to the community!

With the BlackBerry, the native Messages app can work with an e-mail account if there is adequate data of a business plan. Natively, email on a BB is an enhanced service, requiring the use of some such servers hosted by carriers and BlackBerry - without a correct data account, access to these servers is denied and this email does not work via the application Messages.

Often, carriers are slow to cancel things... I think in this situation is that it was active on this card SIM at a time in the past, and the carrier has recently "caught up" cancel those who use the services for which they do not pay.

    Good luck!
