    Hi, Troy,

First of all, I would advise to analysis anti-malware in safe mode with network.  Use this tool to run a full scan to make sure that the system is clean.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=16

    Change the display language

The display language is the language that Windows uses in wizards, dialog, menus, help topics, and media boxes, and other elements of the user interface. Some display languages are installed by default, and others require you to install additional language files. When you change the display language, it is changed for your user account and is not changed on the Welcome screen. If you want to set the display language for multiple users or the home screen, see apply regional and language to reserved accounts settings.

    1. Open regional and Language Options, click Start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click clock, language, and region, and then clicking regional and Language Options.

    2. Click the keyboards and languages tab.

    3. Under display language, select a language in the list, and then click OK.

    Note

If you do not see the list of display languages, you must first install additional language files. For more information, see install a display language.

  • Email hacking via BB blackBerry Smartphones

My hotmail account has been sending messages, I think to my entire contact list. All of them say "sent from my Blackberry". The account is linked to my flashlight. The fake message asking people to follow a link to a site called www2.newsireport.com.

Anyone know anything on this subject and how get rid of?

As usual with any email, change your password.

  • Strange (for me) email hack, need advice please

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this question but I need help please!

A friend forwarded an email to me from his iPad, request information on the content of the e-mail.  The title of the e-mail with the phrase "Bill and W - 9.  I said to my friend with this question: "what is the amount was discussed.  A few minutes later, I got a response: "$6 500 and he should be sent to their bank account, I will send you the info from the Bank before leaving town tonight." Please confirm if the info of the Bank should be sent.  I checked to see that the email from sound, it was, so my first thought was that it responded to our e-mail, thinking it was another.  I responded saying "hey I think you sent me this by mistake.  Shortly after, I got a response that was obviously false.  When finally, I talked with him, my friend was nothing achieved responses by e-mail I sent.  Then, someone broke in and took his identity by email in an obvious scam.  I've not heard of this and have no idea how it was done.

My Macbook Air is only used at home and by me only.  Should I be concerned about the safety of my data or e-mail?

How can I tell my friend to check its security online?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

It is possible that your friend has had some malware installed and it would be prudent to check, but there are other explanations that do not involve them.

Email from: and Reply-to: addresses are easy to fake:

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_spoofing

and unless you know what you're looking for, it is not easy to spot counterfeits.

The emails themselves are not harmful, it is that they deceive the recipient actually that's the problem.

  • It might make me totally distracted, but in the password protocol, it seems all sites want one and then somehow I've now changed my passwords?

    Hello

It might make me totally distracted, but in the password protocol, it seems all sites want one and then somehow I've now changed my passwords? IE: Google, Microsoft...

Some people say that I need only a pswd for all sites?

Some say all change every month... you, the experts say?

    Thank you

    Hello

One of the worst things you can do with passwords is to have the same password for everything. For example, someone like a hacker finds your password by e-mail. You can use the e-mail address as username for several things, such as the online stores, financial sites, etc.. Once they know this address combination and e-mail password works on a single site, hackers can try on many popular sites. You are then not only your email hacked, but a lot of things.

    There are more tips here:

  • My email has been hacked and used to send Spam. I have to perform a virus check, or simply change the password?

My email has been hacked and used to send Spam. I have to perform a virus check, or simply change the password?

Do not install or run an anti virus app.

How do you know that your email has been "hacked"? It is a common practice for spammers to forge an envoy from the e-mail address. It may be that your email address has been misused. There's nothing to do if this is the case for you. The spammer will soon pass and usurp another email address.

It's a good idea to immediately change your password by email if someone would actually managed to access your e-mail account.

    Someone hacked Tbird email ACCT.

Exactly, what makes you think your account was hacked?

    Hundreds of demons mailer

Is the probability that a spammer has used your email address to send spam messages to recipients at random, and now you get undeliverable notifications. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backscatter_%28email%29

    How can I fix it?

Wait until it stops. In the meantime, you can filter these messages.

  • Gmail has been hacked, most email now goes directly to the trash

My gmail was hacked.  People in my contact list have sent emails asking them to log on to a site. Most of my email goes to the trash.  I went to the Genius Bar last week, but the Lady could not fix. My email is still going directly in the trash.  I tried suggestions from research on the web, but have not been able to fix it.

    Hi Reyvanzo,

First, immediately turn on the audit 2 steps in your Google account, to be sure, it is well protected.

Then open the Gmail settings and go to the filters Panel: you will find at least one filter that automatically deletes all e-mails. Remove each strange filter that not create you, this will fix the problem.

    I hope this helps!

  • I get emails from my own email address to my email address. Someone hacked my email?

I get e-mails as if I had sent them. They say is info@1-800 - cruise .com or chris@1-800 - cruise .com.
How can I stop this? I'm sending obviously not emails to myself.

I doubt that something has been hacked. In all probability, a spammer got your email address and use it as a fake from: address and a bit silly can also use it as a To: address.

Displaying the source code of the message (using ctrl + u) can reveal something about the real origin of the message. While he won't say who sent him (and the real sender can be some innocent users that the machine has been compromised), it may be reassuring that the message is from a foreign location, and not an account or that you are responsible for the machine.

  • I've been hacked in my gmail account and an email was sent to my gmail account that I did not send. What should I do now?

An e-mail was received by another person from my e-mail address. I did not send this email which was an ad for a home based job. What should I do now that I've been hacked?
    Thank you!

There is nothing you can do now. You can change your password to something else and take measures to ensure that your email account is not hacked again. Alternatively, you can visit the help of Gmail Help pages. You can also try the following

  • Hacked by Email!

Hi, both my hotmail accounts have been signed in when I opened my email and deleted a message without opening it even on my iphone 6. I felt as if something was going on and got on my laptop and see someone of another State has just signed-for both accounts. I changed passwords and removed the two accounts on my phone. Any suggestions? Wayne

The only thing that has hacked was your e-mail accounts. Your phone may have been compromised by an email. Regarding your email accounts go, change the password was the most important step. You can contact Hotmail. If you have information in your e-mail that someone might have seen as credit card account information, you can secure these accounts as well.
