    I suggest this thread:

It begins with a process to start properly and there is an exchange of views, and there is also a post (15) with links to earlier versions of the Software Desktop, if those who are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work... but it worked to much to solve the problems they have.

    Good luck!

  • Emails from Outlook to Smartphones blackBerry - BIS vs Desktop Redirector - which is best?

Okay, I need advice from someone who's been there-done-that.

I've read tons of posts on Outlook email sync and now I am totally confused.

I do not have a BES and I need to sync my email to work wireless (calendar would be nice too, but I won't get it gourmand) for my 8110.

What is the best option: BIS or Desktop Redirector?

    Can someone give me advice?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

Well, better judgment, IMHO - is so subjective to every persons wishes. But here are a few facts that may help you choose.

The two methods only provide you with email OTA - you need to use captive sync for the rest.

BIS - your business email must have a compatible Internet email interface (for example, OWA, POP, IMAP) and must not use an ISA device. If you can already get your email from the company from a PC that faces the gross internet (for example, without going through a VPN tunnel), then it is most likely that the BIS may work.

Desktop Redirector - this requires a PC to be left on all the time, connected to your corporate email (whether inside your corporate network or via VPN tunnel), so that it can get new emails and send them to your BB.

My preference goes BIS since it requires not just always on the PC (which can easily have a hiccup any who needs attention practice to rectify). But that's my preference.

    Hope that helps!

  • BIS blackBerry Smartphones has blocked my PIN - no data through the

I was with AT & T tent technical support to solve this problem last night.  It became impossible for the BIS-B to send all the data on my device.  I have already completely wiped out my "BOLD" with a reset, re-entered the unit, tried to return the service directories and had even AT & T erase and rebuild my BIS account.

Symptoms: When I try to send it to my email service BIS service books, they never come out.

Always mobile network diagnostics fail the test of PIN - PIN

Mobile Internet browsing works, but any application that uses BIS-B to transfer data never gets it.  My twitter app gives me a "network error", my weather app says 'update error' and google maps is constantly trying to load maps without success.

This happened all of a sudden yesterday.  It seems that the BIS has just completely shunned my device.  I plan to go into a store warranty AT & T later today to share devices and rebuild my account and data with a new PIN.

OK, the AT & T rep "I removed from the blackberry network" and I reconnected.  This seems to have solved the problem.  I get sent again, I received the service books I sent earlier and diagnosis shows a 'yes' next to PIN - PIN.

Looks like I'm back in business.  Thanks for the help!

  • Issues of sending from Yahoo blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello.

I have a Blackberry Curve through Verizon Wireless.  Whenever I send an email from my phone using my Yahoo account, it is located in the 'messages' section, but never sending the e-mail.  I tried a hard reboot, and I made sure that the phone is registered with the network, but I'm no. WHERE.  Can you help me?

    Thank you

    David

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

If the issue persits, you may need to go to Options > advanced > Service books... to remove the two books of Yahoo on the accounts of the email service and reboot your phone once again, according to the new guidelines.

Then, perform again to send Service directories.

  • Emails of new blackBerry Smartphones

Sine install the Device Manager on the new laptop, I received 250 email from BB newtork.  Says do not remove, move or respond.  Help! What is the cause?  How to stop?

Reason: You have installed Desktop Manager by using the option "Desktop Redirector".

Step 1: If you are not using redirector, you must uninstall Desktop Manager, and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.

Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

  • Email icon new blackBerry Smartphones does not

    Hi all

    Need your help again.

I had a 'new message' icon on the upper left side (with number 1 written) & an icon "red star".

on my office email messaging, but the thing is I have no unread emails. Unread count increases

When I get emails back from his duties. When I open all unread emails, this number will decrease, but eventually

still 1, as well as 'new email' icon & icon "red star".

I already tried the following (in the same order):

    (1) I deleted all my emails from my BB desktop, but still the problem continued

    When this did not help,

    (2) I deleted all e-mails from my other email (gmail/hotmail) BB messengers

    When this did not help,

    (3) off my BB with the power button,

    When this did not help,

    (4) I took out the battery (with BB)

    When this did not help,

    (5) called the provider of services, which sent me 'book of service' for re-configuration, (after I took

    battery with BB)

Now, is the last option, I think, have withdrawn from my BB desktop email identification & then reconfigure

    Once again.

    But their any other solution.

Thanks for reading this request for help.

    Jssethi

    Try this

Go to the menu, main message folder, press menu again and view folders

Open each folder if you have any unread mail.

If this is not the case, check if you have messages saved, go to the menu, applications, recorded messages.

  • Removal of reading emails from my blackberry blackBerry Smartphones

I use a gmail with microsoft outlook e-mail account and the last Director of office for blackberry...

When I sync my phone with Outlook, I lose all the e-mails I've read from my phone, so I can't go back and read old emails about it. I went through all the settings on the phone, this should not be made. I have the option 'hide filed messages' set on no and everything...

help with this is greatly appreciated!

    -Paul

I feel there is more at stake here than your synchronization... BIS does not synchronize or reconcile the messages and messages.

In Outlook, verify your settings ask Outlook to leave your messages on the server. See below.

You want to check the box to LEAVE messages on the server. I am betting that once you open Outlook and download your Gmail to Outlook, it is deleting your messages (OR marking as 'read') OFF the server and which is then reconciled with the device.

IF you use Outlook to download your email on your desktop PC, Outlook is probably "remove" mail from your email server when it downloads on your PC.

There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on server".

    For MS Outlook 2003:
    1. Outlook > tools > e-mail accounts > view or change existing > next.
    2. Select the e-mail account > change > additional settings.
    3. Advanced tab > leave a copy of Messages on the server
    4. check this box.

    * You will need to make this change for each Outlook e-mail account, you have.

Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting, although it can be found in a slightly different place of the: Advanced settings.
