emails lost in Vista Outlook 2007
I tried to transfer about 80 e-mails of a laptop XP outlook express for my Vista Business Outlook 2007 existing using WET and Belkin cable.
Settings to Outlook Vista changed everything, and all of my existing e-mails have disappeared. They were replaced by emails that are old several years and a former connection e-mail setting.
80 emails are always on the phone - so I'm not worried about them.
I really really need to find emails in Outlook 2007.
There is a file outlook.pst (360KB) - would be them?
Any help much appreciated.

Satellite P100-160: problems of Vista Outlook 2007 download mail from POP3 server
I am running Vista on a Satellite P100-160 and you just install Office 2007. Initially, Outlook work very well and then changed to send only messages but not get it back. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but no improvement. I know that the server settings are very well because I can run from another machine on the same home network and download the mail.
I also have Norton security on the computer and I wonder if somehow the Port used to download mail (110) may be blocked. Someone else had this problem or any suggestions on how to fix.
As a last resort I clean the entire disk and re-install from the product recovery disc and see what happens.
Thanks for the info.
Good bye

How to import emails from Thunderbird to Outlook 2007
I've updated to Windows XP using Thunderbird as my email for Windows 7 and Office 2007 client. I can't find out how to import all my emails and contacts from Thunderbird to Outlook.
I've updated to Windows XP using Thunderbird as my email for Windows 7 and Office 2007 client. I can't find out how to import all my emails and contacts from Thunderbird to Outlook.
With difficulty.
The easiest way (assuming that you have upgraded a machine and not bought a new) is to install Eudora, transfer all your TBird mail to that. Outlook will then be able to import Eudora mail
The address book is a little more difficult. You need to export your address book of TBird in a CSV file, which if you went from the existing machine will mean reinstall TBird to do this. If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog -

Why MobileMe first synchronization alert several times with Vista Outlook 2007 and iPhone 3G?
I'm in long discussions with Apple Support, which are very polished, but we are not making much progress, after some time and effort. The installation program is Outlook + Vista Business + MobileMe, iPhone 3G. Everything correctly the program installation insofar as Apple is concerned. Everything worked OK. Now, all of a sudden, every time there is a new entry or deletion on Outlook or iPhone, sync (for the most part successful, sometimes not) is followed a few minutes later with a first synchronization Alert, telling me that MobileMe has needed attention because "this time around the first of may you have synced or you have reset your data." The First Alert Sync then you offers a number of options for resolution, including data to merge or replace. Fact is, even if I agree to "merge data" or choose another options presented to me (for example replace MobileMe with data from Outlook), MobileMe never stops with its first Sync alerts, no matter how many times I followed the instructions from Apple mail. What is important, Apple did suggest trying a new Vista user account - and the problem do not appear to arise here, although perhaps a handful of test on a new installation of Outlook inputs would be very difficult. My questions: (1) are there the obvious things that might spoil MobileMe on a particular user account, because of this problem? (2) at - it's not a "bot"? or diagnostic application that Apple or MS could foresee that would actually identify what actually firing off the illogical Sync First Alert? Thanks a lot for all the suggestions for the non-technical user. David, London

I can't open links in the email Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista
The links in my email do not work in Outlook 2007. I use Windows Vista. Links worked fine until I installed then uninstalled Google Chrome. No idea how I can fix the links?
Thank you
It's called the problem after you have uninstalled Chrome. It is ultimately a default browser related issue; There are different 'cure', but none exactly foolproof. Here are some of the threads I have my favorites:

I am running Windows Vista and using Outlook 2007. I had a damaged Windows profile and had to create a new Windows user profile. Can someone tell me how to find my email Outlook and settings and all the files and folders in my old profile and put it in my new profile? Thanks for your help.
Outlook stores this information in various places (not necessarily your profile unless you have programmed to store there). You should check to see where it is set to store these data (I think it involved several different files). Please repost your question in the Discussion of the Office group at: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.outlook.general&lang=en&cr=US where people who specialize in issues of Outlook will be more than happy to help you with your problem.

If you are on Vista 64-bit, the applet of the control panel "Mail" is in the section of the 32-bit control.

Outlook 2007 hyperlinks does not work after Windows 7 Pro upgrade Vista Business
I have just upgaded my laptop Sony Vaio VGN-Z750D of Vista Buiness Wdows 7 Professional. As pa of the upgrade process, I uninstalled Google Chrome as directed by the instructions to upgrade. IE has been and still is my default browser. Immediately after completing the upgrade process to Windows 7, all hyperlinks email from Outlook 2007 stopped working, and I get an error message: "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Contact your system administrator. »
I am the administrator. IE is the default browser. I spent the value by default, Safari and back to IE, but no change. I looked at several forums, but none address this issue more specifically to the Windows 7 upgrade.
Please notify. Thank you.
Perfect. Worked immediately. I downloaded the files added to my registry, and the problem was fixed immediately on reboot. Thank you.

Upgrade to Microsoft 2010 and have now lost all my Outlook Express emails!
Hello
Yesterday, I upgraded my pc from 2007 to 2010 from microsoft, I had no idea that outlook express is no longer taken in charge & a so don't had not saved anything express before the upgrade.
I used two Outlook + outlook express to run 2 separate email accounts. How Outlook works well and moved all my old mails/contacts. Express however is not found, I can't open it.
I have installation the other account on the new perspectives, he transferred the emails from the last 30 days, which lie on the mail server, but nothing beyond that, plus all of my files are missing & what is the most important!
Please help me, I got hundreds of emails that are very important to me and I am in despair that they have all been lost.
Thank you, Emma
If you use Windows XP (which I assume you're OE does not work on any latest system) then by installing Office does NOT remove Outlook Express.
He can't because Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, which is part of Windows.
I think that Outlook has replced just the icon of EO for mail.
Do a search for msimn.exe
You should find it in c:\program files\outlook express.
Then you can add back a shortcut on your desktop.

Transfer email from Outlook Express to Outlook 2007 on different computers
I have a desktop computer with Windows XP Home Edition and Outlook Express as my email product. I recently bought a new laptop which has Windows Vista and Outlook 2007. The hope of transferring e-mail messages from my old computer to the new. I have not been able to get these machines to communicate over a network so hoped there was a way to export the Outlook Express e-mail (perhaps to one. PST file?) and then import that file into Outlook 2007. Any information that anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

All of a sudden, I get empty emails in Outlook 2007. I am running Vista Pro. I've heard of Email Guard for a PC tool for a fix, but I don't know where to go to get this tool. This will really fix the problem? If this isn't the case, please give me some suggestions to use.
Thank you
You do not want to use the e-mail scan in any e-mail MS program, and you do not need.
Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email:
http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htmAnd it is from Symantec, but applies to all anti-virus programs.
From:
http://snipurl.com/bmf6My computer is always protected against viruses if I disable e-mail analysis?
Disable e-mail analysis won't let you without protection against viruses that are distributed as attachments to email. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved on your hard drive, email and attachments to emails. Scan to email is just another layer on top of that. To make sure that Auto-Protect provides maximum protection, keep active Auto-Protect and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions.
Note: With Norton, if the problem persists after you turn off the analysis of e-mail, you may need to reinstall. Often just turn it off is not enough.
1: remove completely the program BC
2: use this tool.
Download and run the Norton removal tool:

Outlook 2007 is stuck receiving emails
I have been using Outlook 2007 for some time now. I've never had any problems. He just started having stuck receiving the last email. He will never receive the product. If I chose 'Cancel send/receive,', stop, but she will never check email again. Even if I select
"Send and receive," nothing happens. If I stop Outlook, I can't open it again. The only way I can get to open is to restart my computer. So I can receive all my emails, except for the very last.I can't find solutions. Check my hotmail via outlook account. I think that this problem might have started after "Outlook Connector" asked to update yourself.
Any ideas?
Kingraf
Is the last email to the same email every time, I want to say is that only an e-mail message at the origin of the problem? If it's still the same E-mail, access the web site from your ISP e-mail and read e-mail upward and then save or delete it.
If not, try some of them.
