Embedded Flash OK online but dead connection-why offline?

The question just about everything said.  I have an animation made in Flash CS6 I included in a pdf document.  If I'm online, all is good: I can run the animation in the PDF using Acrobat (X) or Acrobat Reader (11.0.11.18).  If I am offline, however, I can't get the animation embedded to run in Acrobat or Reader, but he plays very well in free-standing format in the drive of standalone Flash (11.4.402.265).  Another animation seems OK; I'm suspecting something with fonts, but I'm having a devil of a time out conclusion which fonts are not get shipped - here an easy way to tell?  Or it could be something else? (All on Mac, but heard someone else with, I think, windows that the same problem showed up there).

Thank you

  • Why can't connect using Apple Airport WIFI of my remote security cameras but can connect using the Xfinity WIFI Modem/Router open?

Why can't connect using Apple Airport WIFI of my remote security cameras but can connect using the Xfinity WIFI Modem/Router open?

    Two possibilities:

    (1) your airport WiFi might have a network name that is not in line with best practices, wireless

A good wireless network name is...

... In short no more than 20 characters

Simple... no special characters like an apostrophe, dollar sign, asterisk, etc.

Compact, without spaces in the name

For example, a wireless network network name as... red .dfedoryk Apple wireless network... .is not what you want. Something like... .dfedorykwireless. .. masse are much more likely to connect to non-Apple devices.

    Same guidelines your password

    (2) Apple gives the same name to network 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network that produces double router band.  Some non-Apple devices are confused by the present, you may need to use the option to assign a different name for the network of 5 GHz on the router from Apple. Then, 'point' your device to the network name specific to which you want to connect.

    Hello TillyTwo,

I suggest looking at the answer of Irfan in this thread that seems to relate to your specific question:
  • Windows Vista connected online but not shown on network and sharing Center or on the taskbar, leads to other problems

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 running on Windows Vista, my router modem is a Motorola SURFboard SBG901. A few months ago on this computer, I couldn't see that I was connected online either from right down icon in my taskbar (it shows just two monitors with an 'x', that when you highlight on he says "not connected, you are currently not connected to any network.")  I don't see it on my network and sharing Center which States: "not connected wireless connections are available." In terms of network it shows that my PC and then the line that has an x on him. If you click the x, or select diagnose and repair, he informs me that all is going well with my computer. If I go to connect to a wireless network, it shows that I'm connected to my network ready. I open one of my browsers and they all work very well, I can access any site without problem. I was not embarrassed with him at the time, but since then I moved into a new House and have a new service and everything, with this motorola modem cable. my new wireless network is a network unsecured, which of course, I want to fix it. I can connect to this network, but I can't access it through Windows properties to make sure. I read the manual of the modem, telling me to connect through an ethernet connection and access configuration manager using the ip address of my router on a browser, but which does not charge or the other. I have other devices (Ipod Touch and PS3) wireless I got other people come computers and they all detect the network but cannot connect to it. Thanks for any help.

    Hello

I would like to ask you a few more things.
    1. how many network connections you have created?
    2. are there multiple NICs installed on the computer?

Since this is a common problem and many users have solved this problem by using different methods.

This can also occur if you frequently use several type of internet connections such as dial-up, Ethernet and LAN.

As the article below also indicates that there could be multiple reasons for the same.
The network adapter icon incorrectly displays a red "X" in the window management in Windows Vista network connections when the network adapter is connected
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945925

    Method 1.
I ask you to remove any network connection if you have created and then check.

    Method 2.
For control please check in mode safe mode with Networking if the problem exists.
    Here's how:
    a. restart your computer.
    b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows 7 Advanced Startup Options.
    c. using the arrow keys, select the desired option of Mode without failure.
    d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to boot mode safe mode of Windows 7 with networking.
    e. when Windows starts, use check and Internet explore if the problem persists.
For more information, see the articles below.

  • "files and printers, sharing resource is online but does not respond to connection attempts."

I just got a HP Pavilion dm4-2180us running W 7 Home Premium which does not connect to other computers on my network, or residential group. I get the message "files and printers, sharing resource is online but does not respond to attempts at connection." and the path not found error code. All other 3 computers recognize and connect to the network with no probems, including an another Dell Inspiron also running the same version of 7 W bought the same month as this HP! I tried to launch the troubleshooting tool and even restore the computer to its orignal State; It woud work for a few days, then would not connect or recognize the other computers on the network.

    Help, please!

    Hello Dynotnt,

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: I suggest you perform the clean boot and check.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to configure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Method 2: If the method above does not help, then you can run the network troubleshooter and see if it can detect and correct the problem.

  • localhost is online but does not respond to connection attempts

It comes to my Windows Home Server 2011 and I can't have my Web home page, or any page on my server, to display.  I get the message error #404 and what I tried to give me the same results.  I tried directly from the desktop to servers, other computers on my local network and via the internet from my work.  The only indication I've seen a problem is that when I click on the "connection problem Fix", I get the message 'site Web (www.rkwco.com) is online but does not respond to attempts to login.' message.

This isn't someone else's system, it's mine.  It was working before and I'm not sure what I did to get it to stop.  If I can understand what is causing the problem, I know that I can understand what to do to fix.  So far all my research for troubleshooting help keep pointing the browser to the corrections, but I am sure that I have eliminated that as a possibility with the locations of various clients and access methods.  One last piece of info, is that if I try to TELNET using port 80, I just get the message that it cannot open port 80.  Which was making me look in the direction of the firewall settings but I don't know what to look for in there.  Suggestions on what/how to test your access to this web server?

Start the laptop with F8 and try to start Windows in safe mode.

    It work?
If so, you can try using systemrestore option and roll back the BONES at that earlier time. Maybe this will help.

  • HP8500 A909A, the installation program recognizes printer, but cannot connect

HP8500 A909A, the installation program recognizes printer, but cannot connect

    Ok.

It is installed by USB on the other printer?

    Did you share the printer?

have you set up a virtual usb port?

Have you tried to use the diagnosis of HP printer installation utility to help Setup and configuration of your printer?

It would have been simpler to use the LAN connector so the other PC online would not be a condition for its availability.

    (1) connect the printer with the LAN connector to your network switch or router and turn it on.

    (2) make sure that the IP address of the printer is your network subnet via the embedded Web server or printer print Panel menu.

    (3) set it up as a network on all PCs compuuter to make it available for use

  • Zscaler and installation of Flash Player online

Our users are using zscaler for web filtering and when it runs the online Flash Player installation fails to initialize even if we remove all the blocks.  The installation of Flash Player online works very well that if we turn off zscaler to do, but it's a long process whenever flashplayer has a new version.  I can get around the zscaler filter using the programming CAP file if I could get a list of all URLS, IP addresses or server addresses that must be circumvented to get online Setup runs correctly.  Where can I find such a list?  Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the Runtime Flash team does not maintain the distribution infrastructure (there is a separate distribution organization him reconditions our binary distribution and managed hosting).  In end, a big part of it is to detach the Akamai CDN, so there is no guarantee that IPs are going to be coherent, or that host names would remain static over time.

If you administer a corporate environment, there are better options for the distribution and update management that would bypass all this complexity.

  • Flash Player is not to connect to the server policy file - still gives SecurityError #2048

    Hello

    I'm having a weird problem.

    Here's the situation:

    * I have a server that is running at http://192.168.0.179 . It serves as a file in flash, WebSocketMain.swf (of https://github.com/gimite/web-socket-js), who tries to make a socket connection to 192.168.0.179:5000.

    * I have a socket policy file server clocked at http://192.168.0.179:843 .

    * It works fine on the machine the server is running on (on OS X). Flash connects to the server policy files and on the server on port 5000.

    * However, on a Windows (64-bit) machine on the same network (192.168.0.175), running Flash 10.3/11.2/11.3 (and in the two Chrome/IE9), I get the following in the JS console error:

    LOG: Active [Websockets] Debug

    LOG: File [Websockets] strategy: xmlsocket://192.168.0.179:843

[Websockets] Unable to connect to the Server Web Socket ws://192.168.0.179:5000/websockettest (SecurityError: Error #2048: security sandbox violation: failed to load http://192.168.0.179/assets/flash/WebSocketMain.swf )

data from 192.168.0.179:5000.) Make sure the server is running and the policy file for the Flash shoe is placed correctly

    LOG: [Websockets] closed

    * I tried to modify WebSocketMain.swf to call Security.loadPolicyFile explicitly and not, but in both cases Flash Player will not even connect to the policy to 192.168.0.179 server. So it does not even attempt to read the policy file, yet still get the SecurityError.

    * 192.168.0.179:843 is opened from the machine.175. I can connect via a client Terminal Server (e.g. PuTTY) and receive the policy without problem file. However, FP simply does not want to connect.

    * I tried Security.allowDomain("*") and everything. Still nothing.

    * I tried to change the URL to which public Service will connect to (which is served by the web server) to 192.168.0.179:80. Nothing. 192.168.0.179:10000 does not work either. Even 127.0.0.1 and localhost does not work.

I have more suggestions. This could be the cause? Why won't even try FP to connect to the policy server?

Found the problem: mms.cfg had an entry saying DisableSockets = 1, which caused the security error.
