Encryption Oracle password on login

If my application uses JDBC Thin Client, no SPOUT to connect to the database on the network is automatically encrypted by Oracle of my password when I login?  I have not the ability to use tools to check authentication since my remote client is encrypted when I connect to the database.  I found documentation indicating that Oracle crypt automatically the password but I don't know if this only applies if you are using a client Oracle, not JDBC Thin Client on the remote computer.

Thank you

I have Oracle AES and the password is encrypted. Doc-ID 99135.1.  This document has been the Oracle answer to my question.

Thank you!

    I searched the support of oracle in this regard. In one mentioned to modify the config.XML and add either encrypted or clear text.

    I don't know how to change the file and that all entries have to be changed. I enclose the config file. Could you please suggest me.

    Kind regards

    What doc id you are referring to? If you need to replace the password encrypted with password plain text in the config.xml file, just edit it with a text editor and replace the values starting with {ESA}.

  • Encrypt the password problem

    I encrypt a password in my application. The problem I have is that one of my encrypted passwords begins with a single quote. It's blowing my SQL queries. Is there a way to force the CF to use only alphabetic or numeric characters?

    I had a similar problem. I found that if I used the for the password parameter, when checking it against the value encrypted in the database, the error disappeared. Here is an example of the request for verification of login I use in one of my apps where I use encrypted passwords.

    SELECT admin_id expire_date, access_level, active

    WHERE LOWER (logon_name) = LOWER('#form.v_logon_name#')

    No, the form data is not encrypted if you save form data in Firefox

  • No encrypted local password in config?

    I hope this is the right section to ask this question, I'll put up a new router 2811 (move from a 2611). We have local usernames on 2611 of authentication ssh connections and PPTP sessions. Associated with user names passwords are encrypted when viewing with a sh run or in a configuration copied to tftp, but on the new the psswds router. view as plain text. Is - because I have not yet put aaa in place as it is on the old router? is there a better way to do it on the new router (do not authenticate locally, to a second box)?

  • method of encryption of password for data source (coldfusion 11)

    Hi guys, what method of encryption that ADOBE ColdFusion 11 is used for the data source password encryption? Anyone know? Really appreciated for the answer

    11 ColdFusion is using the AES/CBC/PKCS5Padding algorithm to encrypt the password stored in the file "NEO - DATASOURCE.xml" and it is the 128-bit key.

  • Comment create a private with password and login access?

    Comment create a private with password and login access?

    If all you need is to grant a person/company access to a specific folder on your site (a location test for their website for example), you can usually do this from your control panel hosting account. You must consult your webhost for exact directions on how to do it.

    If you need a more robust record and the system log-in, you will need to become familiar with a language such as php server-side and a database like mySQL. DW has nothing built-in that will do these things for you, however you can use DW to encode or lining up third-party code on your site.

  • Encryption of password WebLogic

    Is it possible to encrypt a password used in a weblogic (password for the JDBC data source) in a Java program? I tried to run this utlity "weblogic.security.Encrypt" in a Java program and it works fine, but I want to do it since java without creating a process that is to say, by calling the method of a particular java class in a library. "

    Hello..

    You can use weblogic classes weblogic.security.internal.SerializedSystemIni & weblogic.security.internal.encryption.ClearOrEncryptedService, as long as you have access to the file SerializedSystemIni.dat areas...

    for example...

    import java.io.File;
    import weblogic.security.internal.SerializedSystemIni;
    import weblogic.security.internal.encryption.ClearOrEncryptedService;

    public final class SecurityHelper {
         private ClearOrEncryptedService ces = null;
         private File domainDir = null;
         private String domain = null;

         public SecurityHelper(String domain) {
              setDomain(domain);
         }

         public SecurityHelper() {
         }

         public String decryptItem(String encryptedValue){
              encryptedValue = encryptedValue.replace("\\", "");
              System.out.println("decoding [" + encryptedValue + "]");
              return getCESService().decrypt(encryptedValue);
         }

         public String encryptItem(String itemValue){
              return getCESService().encrypt(itemValue);
         }

         private ClearOrEncryptedService getCESService(){
              if (this.ces == null){
                   this.ces = new ClearOrEncryptedService(SerializedSystemIni.getEncryptionService(getDomainDir().getAbsolutePath()));
              }
              return this.ces;
         }

         public File getDomainDir(){
              if (this.domainDir == null){
                   String fileSeperator = System.getProperty("file.separator");
                   this.domainDir = new File(System.getProperty("user.dir") + fileSeperator + "domains" + fileSeperator + this.domain);
              }
              return this.domainDir;
         }

         public void setDomain(String domain){
              this.domain = domain;
              this.domainDir = null;
              this.ces = null;
         }
    }

    in this, I have the SerializedSystemIni.dat file in a directory local domains/DOMAIN_NAME/security/SerializedSystemIni.dat
    and run as
    SecurityHelper sh = new SecurityHelper();
    sh.setDomain ("DOMAIN_NAME")

    sh.encryptItem ("passwrodText")

    .. Select this option.
