Enter a gradient from InDesign Photoshop

Is there a way to get a gradient from InDesign CS6 in Photoshop CS6? I know gradients are treated differently in each, "color chart" ID, as well as "degraded" in PS, but it seems that there must be a work around! The "save swatch as an .ase file option only works for solid samples. Thank you!

I don't think that there is a 'systemic' method to convert a degraded to a predefined Photoshop InDesign.

As far as I KNOW, you can get the full purpose of gradient in the PS, (probably for sampling or other manipulations for your intention), and you would do that by exporting from InDesign to a format that will honor or maintain some color management settings may be at stake. Seems the obvious choice for that would be PDF, which is not necessarily to say that it is simple.

  • PDF InDesign Photoshop create wrinkles

I'm having this painful problem trying to collaborate on ID PDF and try to get them to export to JPEG.

Question: I did a series of commercials for an advertising campaign which are all in PDF format and now I want to ad to my portfolio and can only download on the website in JPEG or PNG format. I have them gathered on an Indesign page into a layout of basic and tried to export it to JPEG etc. When I export the jpeg and png see all pdf lines /cut brands / annoying artifacts of the line.

Question: is it possible to add one or more pdf files (as you would with a jpeg) in indesign, and then export it as a png or jpeg and not get these cut marks or whatever you want to call them.

In the image below you can see the results of adding a pdf to indesign file and then convert it to a jpg. It doesn't matter how you do, whatever export to JPEG directly from indesign or export as pdf and placing him in photoshop, the results are the same.

    cut marks.jpg

I stick it out and export them just individually in JPEG format and then import the JPEG files again in my layout, I created, but I have 6 several pages like that... damn frustration makes me want to Karate cop indesign right in the face.

They resemble the transparency flattening artifacts, and we need to determine where the flattening that is happening.

Open the original PDF with Acrobat files. You see the lines? They will probably appear and disappear at different magnifications, so try zooming in and out of different areas of the page.

If you can see them, you will need to re - export in the original layout files, with at least the value of Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) compatibility.

If you don't see them, then flattening is done by InDesign export. The best way to get a JPG file from an InDesign layout is to export a PDF not flattened (I suggest using the PDF / X-4: 2008 setting), open it in Photoshop and save the jpg from there.

  • InDesign Photoshop police / compression issues

(In which case it must be stressed, I use Photoshop CS5 and CS4 indesign.)

I use Indesign to create a 'visual guide' for online applications. The process itself is very well, but I'm having problems when I need to export my document. Since then, it is mainly because I need online, in jpeg format. Jpeg export inDesign is not quite meet my needs because I don't need maximum quality and the 'high' setting gives too many artifacts to my taste, and as much as I know there is no way to change these settings (If however, I'd love to know). I tried to export a PDF file, import in Photoshop and export on-site, but the problem that I meet is the fonts and text. In Indesign, they look crisp and exactly how I want to watch, but they look very 'light' in Photoshop. I'm not sure what the word is here, but they seem to melt a lot more in the background.fasfa.png

The left being export jpeg from Indesign and the right being Photoshop rendering of the PDF file. Basically, I want to either change the compression of Indesign or difficulty how fonts are rendered after import in Photoshop. Any ideas?

This is a case to draw fonts... maybe!

If you fonts vector they loss by referring to, but it has an advantage when you print in pdf format, and then open in photoshop, they will be just that little bit more clean looking.

You can also watch the weight of the font that you use in maybe a complete reversal, a medium font type or "BOLD" would make it more readable.

    Hello!

I hope someone could help me with this problem. I am trying to print to my DJ500 from Indesign, but the only option for the output color is gray and RGB. If I print RGB colors are off, very dark. If I make a PDF and print from Acrobat Pro it works well.

    Any ideas for Indesign?

    1. were you able to see the front dialog box?

    2. did you of recent changes to the computer?

This happens because your screen resolution is less than the required minimum of 1024 x 768.

You can try to change the resolution of the monitor and check.

  • Can't print PDF from InDesign after update Microsoft anni

Hi all, since the anni update I was unable to print PDFS from InDesign. No matter if I put PDF for default printer or use the option "Microsoft in PDF format; what I get is: "printing error: Adobe Print Engine failed at the end of your data due to an unknown problem. Sometimes it will print a little less than half of a 60-page document and that's all - it fails (but I get a PDF of that half...). Sometimes, it just goes straight to the error.

Anyone know what is happening on our how to fix? I have a deadline...

    See you soon

    Steve

Hi Dov, thanks for the reply. As mentioned earlier in this thread, I use export when I want to send it to the printing press. However, at this point, I am willing to create a test that is reduced file size and allows me to put all 60 pages of the document in a gap of seven pages using the print option of 3 x 3 thumbnails per page. It gives me a manageable file to send to several people for the document of proof and, at this stage, the output of high quality is not necessary.

However, I seem to have solved my problem:

As mentioned, the document prints 1-27 on a 60 page document (print, failed on page 28).

The paper would not print the range 27-60, when I tried later.

The document will print 30-60 range.

Therefore, the problem lies in pages 27 and 28. I've got rid of the pdf linked to two pages and tried work a print - it worked. then, of course, my problem lies in one of the PDFs linked to each page 27 or 28. It turns out that when I opened the linked PDF (sent to me as a PDF from another company as an advertisement) on page 28 in PS, PS automatically rasterized image, I recorded to a location different, re-related in InDesign, and guess what - it worked. I got the impression that I asked who had already failed.

So, this boiled down to a single work of art linked PDF requiring a pixelation...

    All the best

    Steve

  • How to save a file from InDesign CC to CS6?

I tried to save a file from InDesign CC to InDesign CS6? I've tried exporting as (IDML) but at the time I do that, I'm losing a lot of images, so I was wondering if there is a way to save this file down to CS6 without losing any information.

    Thank you.

    PS. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

When you save with IDML, the images are not saved with the IDML file. If you want to create the file to send to someone on the CS6 use that has no images, use file > package. Since CC 2014, it will include an IDML file in the default package. The user can use this file and have all linked graphics.

  • Export from InDesign to PDF and the PDF file last updated is greater than one month and not easily print on letter paper is PDF presets?

    Hello

I export from InDesign to PDF page is larger in the PDF file, and others I exported. This is because of the present PDF? One of the project managers is not able to print on 8.5 "x 11", but the InDesign document presets are the same as before. I wish I could download PDFs to show, but the newly exported PDF is greater than the version I created a month ago. I created a PDF file and the newly updated PDF file is almost un.5 inch wider with the export presets even. Any thoughts?

I suspect the project manager has his copy of Reader/Acrobat simply set to print full size, rather than "Worthy" (assuming that the size of InDesign pages is truly 8.5 x 11).

.. the newly updated PDF file is almost un.5 inch wider with the same export presets.

This has nothing to do with export presets. How did determine you this difference of half inch?

I do not use the InDesign last, but in the past ID options for export to the format PDF did not define how a PDF should be considered once exported.  However, these settings can be adjusted in Acrobat via preferences: departure of layout and Zoom in the view of the Page.
