Enter the serial number in Lightroom

Suddenly, LR6 stopped working and I'm not able to enter the serial number of the product, as the 'manage my account' in the Help menu is grayed out.

The number I entered is correct - I checked against the original package and on the products of my adobe account page, and I get the error message even if I try to enter the serial number of the version of lightroom 3 I had before. The only thing I can think is that the lightroom 4A was purchased from an old computer, but it has migrated successfully to my current imac, as surely, it should work.

    Problem is resolved now - it's due to my misunderstanding of what was required, and enter the serial number of the previous version (as an upgrade) instead of the serial number of the version I had to buy). My apologies for my mistake and thank you for your time.

  • Why my 5 Lightroom ends after entering the serial number and registration?

    I had the 30 day trial of LR 5. Liked and bought the full version. Installation showed as much success on my Mac. Then, when I try to open, I get the same screen when I had the trial version that indicates "0" days left on my trial and I need license with a serial number. I enter the serial number, registration, press enter and then the program quits. Tried several times with the same result. What I am doing wrong?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Please follow the steps:

    1. open the host file in Mac and find all the entries for Adobe, if present remove Adobe entered, save the host file. Location of the host file: go / go to the file/etc/hosts and try to activate again.

    2. navigate to/Library/Application Support / Adobe and give permission to Adobe. Try to activate again. Please find the link showing how to give permissions on Mac: http://www.macinstruct.com/node/415

    3 enable the root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and try to activate again the root. If still the same error

    4 uninstall Lightroom from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. Run the CC cleaning tool: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and try to activate again.

    Please let us know if it worked.

    I just bought a stand-alone version of Lightroom 6 complete installation in a box retail and try to install it on a Windows machine.

    The installer is one displayed a screen with 6 small boxes where I enter the serial number.  This file on the DVD provided says "You can find the serial number of 24 digits (e.g. 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000) on the back of your door-DVD".  I guess that means that the white paper envelope which contained the DVD.

    There is no number of 24 digits on the envelope.  The back of the envelope contains a small sticker on the lower right corner with two lines.

    -The first line contains a start with the number 9 eight-digit number.

    -The second line contains a mix of 30 letters and special characters starting with DVS/A, LTRM, 6.0, etc.

    (I did not provide the full character set snacks is a unique code for this DVD.)  Please let me know if it needs more.)

    The installation program will accept only characters alpha, only numbers.  Could you please tell me how to locate the 24 digit number he needs.  I can't find it on the envelope.  The box of the product has an Adobe sticker o back, with multiple numbers, but none is a 24 digit number.

    Problem solved.

    Found the number on the secondary area containing the DVD.

    What is confusing is yesterday I installed Photoshop Elements and the serial number sticker was on the back of the envelope of white paper, not the box insert, so that's where I was initially looking for her.  It's just the opposite for Lightroom.  My suggestion would be to do the things constantly between products.

    You downloaded the trial version of Lightroom for the creative cloud. It is allowed in a different way and must be activated with your Adobe ID and password. If you bought a stand-alone license for Lightroom 5 then you must uninstall it and download the standalone Version here:

    I have re-formatted a computer for my friend, boiught a genuine copy of windows xp pro, but when I have bin and enter the serial number on the last block of numbers it will not enter the letter "N", so I can't validate the copy I have... why?

    I tested the keyboard and the letter "N" works perfectly

    N is a character not allowed in the Windows product key - check the label again.

    I'm trying to install Office note 8.1 on Windows 7 Home Basic 64 bit (on laptop AMD E450 DC base). But am getting this error message immediately after you enter the serial number and authentication code. I tried to install different versions of the .net Framework (from 1.1 to 4), but nothing seems to solve the problem.

    I even tried to install it in mode compatibality. but no luck.

    Here is the error message (between BEGIN and END lines)

    Just for the follow-up of this: I have sent comments, and they responded in 20 minutes with:

    Please contact the Support of the note.  I'm sorry that you are experiencing this error, but it seems by the error message that you install note on a Windows 7 computer.  This error is caused by a Microsoft security update that was released in July 2011 for Windows 7 and caused upward to change our software.  Here is access to our Download Center for you to install the version 8.4 of note.  You will use your current serial number, license key and authentication code.
    They then provided a link to their Download Center where I could download 8.4
    E - mailer to * address email is removed from the privacy * and they will answer you. They have great customer service.

    I tried to disable the firewall, but this does not solve the problem. I do not have antivirus software installed so that either cannot interfere.

    Thanks for your suggestions. The internet connection works properly on the computer.
    When I wrote my first question I had difficulties to access weather data and wildlife in every web browser I've used. For example, I tried to download the software from the download page of W & W and in Explorer, it would get a page that says "Cannot display Page". Other browsers had other types of errors. Finally, the company sent me a file of the program that I installed but then when I entered the serial number, I would get the message "the underlying connection was closed unexpectedly.
    This morning I tried again to download the program from the W & W page and also to enter my serial number for the installed program and it seems that the W & W database is connected successfully, but now I get a message saying that the serial number is invalid (which is certainly not the case).
    Since for some unknown reason the databased WW can now access my computer I have now will contact the company to see why my serial number is rejected.

    When I click to convert a MS Word or Excel file to PDF a box appears asking you to enter the serial number of the product and register. Completing this process then leads to nothing. and then 30 seconds later asks to do it again and again, etc.

    The product has been registered since 2014 - I checked this on my account. Help would be appreciated so I can recover to make conversions to PDF I could normally do in the past. I have Windows 10.
