Entry problem Contact of blackBerry Smartphones

BlackBerry Storm 9530 v4.7.0.148 (Platform 4.0.0.181), carrier - Verizon Wireless

I am trying to enter a contact in the following format

123-456-7890PPP #12345PPxyzab

P = 2 second pauses

In the last part of the entry (xyzab), they are all the numbers and have several 0 in the entry.

When I look at the entry in the contacts, it is showing correctly.

When I call the contact, 0 are ignored and no-0 entries are sent.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this problem and get all the numbers to send?

I tried to be recessed to the part of the problem of registration to (), but that has not solved the problem.

I took the phone to a local Verizon and puzzled the personal store.

    Then you can try upgrading the BBM to the latest version available for your device?

    Make that first make a local backup of your BBM contacts, after backup, delete or uninstall any existing version of your BlackBerry. On your home screen, go to Options > Advance Options > application > BlackBerry Messenger > delete BlackBerry Messenger of this list (highlight BBM press on the menu key and select delete)

    I have a BlackBerry Curve 9300, and a few days ago, I added a new e-mail account and synced my contacts with the email account list without realizing it. So I deleted the email account, so it would interrupt the synchronization and it didn't. Today, I deleted a contact in the list of e-mail contacts through the computer and since then every time I tried to open this entry app contact frozen.     Can you at least temporarily remove and let me know if your address book works again?

    Options > device > Applications

    (or Options > advanced > Applications, if you're on an OS5 device)

    I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    I managed to configure gmail and synchronize contacts & the order of the day, but I can't seem to synchronize emails.

    It seems to me that the old configuration blocking private Email-addresses is still active, but I don't know where and how to change.

    Of what you say, I read that you had BES enabled on your BB, you have separated from the company/what BES now, but your BB was not properly cleaned of it's political, that continues to limit the things. To remedy this, you perform a specific wiping of your BB as follows:

    1. First of all, review the link of my auto-sig about backups... this process will completely clean your BB and you have to start over.
    2. Once ready, follow this KB to clean your BB of the it policy:
      • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings
    3. When / if you restore, DO NOT do a full restore, restore only those databases that are essential, especially to avoid those who have something to do with the company, BES, political, etc.. If you fail at this stage and all restore, you simply put it on your BB policy and be right where you started.

  • Contact names blackBerry Smartphones appears not

    I'm having a problem where most of my contacts names will not display when I receive a call or a text message, only his number. It happened suddenly, and as it seems, randomly.

    I've disabled all content protection, tried to change the settings of smart dial, deleted the event log, tried the reorganization of the contacts list and made a few handfuls of battery.

    Some of the names of contacts work always correctly, but it's few and I can't understand why only these are. I have installed a new software recently or changed settings other than trying to solve this problem.

    Thanks for the suggestion, which was going to be my next move, but I think I actually solved the problem. I changed the parameters of encryption for contacts on YES. Then I made a sweater battary and activated encryption pulling back and only went to another battery. When he returned to the top it all has been fixed. I think some of the contacts has been quantified and then had a problem of decryption or something.

    There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

    Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    If it doesn't boot properly, then you need to try Safe Mode:

    The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

    Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info.     I have a similar problem with my Blackberry Pearl 8110, Desktop Manager 5.01 and Outlook 2003 SP3.

    When I try to synchronize my contacts from my Blackberry to Outlook, the process gets thru 'Read in the device address book' 90 and 90 files without problem.  It starts the process following "Treatment Device Address Book" and gets 86 90 files and stops and a pop error message window: [title bar] Intellisync. It has a red circle with 'X' white and says "Unable to read data from application." with an ok button.

    I uninstalled Desktop Manager 5.01 twice, deleted the folder Intellisync following "KB11703" with no luck.

    In the Intellisync [C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync] folder I found this file: PtTrace.log (see below):

    Honestly, it sounds like a bad record... If you can refine what folder and delete it, maybe then things move on.

    But the KB02048 is therefore more accessible because RIM has either deleted from the Knowledge Base or?

    Help! I STILL NEED HELP WITH THE QUESTION, I WAS NOT ABLE TO SYNC MY CONTACTS FOR OVER A YEAR NOW!

    I couldn't find a solution for this, ANYWHERE so I just decided to fix this problem just upgrade to the new version of the BlackBerry Desktop version 6.0.0.40 software. And now, ALL my contacts synchronize with a problem.

    Also from the beginning of this problem and now I have also improved my Outlook 2003 to 2007 and then to 2010.

    So I do not know if the combo of doing all this software update fixed the issue of the contact crupt but its market not now and that's what I need.

  • Problems with unlocking blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello, I have problems with my Blackberry Storm (Verizon). I got an unlock code and followed the instructions correctly, and he said that the code has been accepted. I put in my China Mobile SIM card, and sometimes it will fit and work properly (at the top and 'edge' under the signal bars, said CHINA MOBILE), other times it won't (go see just travelling triangle and '1 X' under the signal bars).     Edge is GSM

    If you pass (correctly or incorrectly) in both directions between the signals. IN the management of connections > Mobile network > network technology, you can choose one or the other, why not try only GSM or 1XEV for awhile and see how it locked to one or the other.

    I have a bb torch that has been saved to my former network uk, I got the orange uk/bis registered torch (and double checked), anyway I live in Spain and have signed a unique contract sim blackberry now. I wiped the fone, jumped out of the sim card in and let it boot. I got the message "your device is now registered with the wireless network" and the 3G is in capitals with the bb icon, but I can't use anything. And when I go in the State, he told me that I am not connected to the BIS, which is strange, I got the bb next to the signal issued. If I open the e-mail Setup Wizard, it tells me that I am not connected and request password of bes etc..

    I can't return the directories of service cos I can't connect!

    Can anyone help?

    It is always difficult to get a BB to work on another network. I'll assume that your level voice services work very well... otherwise which may indicate you need to unlock your BB from its original support.

    It is possible that Orange is not completely unregister the BIS account. Sometimes you can run on another carrier still using your old BIS carriers for a short period... to catch up and completely remove account. In any case, it's the service books of your new provider you need.

    I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    If your new carrier natively your model of BB, that would put the SBs downwards. (Note that, in this KB, there are several methods to ask the SBs, including talking to your carrier and making them push).

    If, however, your BB model is not supported by your operator, then they can have the ability to push the Service books on you... much only push for accurate BB models they support. If this is the case, then you'll have very delicate things to do in order to get it to work fully on that carrier... is feasible, but it is quite difficult.

    So I suggest, you make the foregoing and keep working with your new carrier to try to get this resolved. You'll have to maybe talk to Orange once again just to be sure... you new carrier should know very soon... a BB PIN can have that one in the world, your new carrier BIS account would be impossible to create a BIS for your PIN account if Orange didn't him has not fully released. You may also need them (your carriers) to climb ABOARD for formal support from there.

    Hi again.  I am having some problems with my Blackberry of replacement.  It seems that the only thing I can get are texts and phone calls.  My three e-mail accounts do not seem to receive anything.  I even did a test by sending an e-mail to me and it has not sent.  any ideas?

    Nevermind! I solved this myself, haha.  I went to my carriers BIS site and discovered that my old PIN was again activated on my settings.  I just had to move the esn and PIN for new phone and im good to go.

    I lost all contacts, but have since this sorting by removing the filter but still have the following problem: -.

    When I select a contact to send an SMS message to, and then press a button to search under a specific letter, it shows a number or can't find any contact information. The number it retrieves matches the I am pressing the button. Could a speed dial have been implemented by any chance?  Was all working fine until it contacts gone, are the two connected? Doing my head in, please help.
