Envio 3TO Ext HDD not recognized

Hi my external HD can no longer be recgnised by my 64 bit Windows 7 computer. There were always a little skittish because I couldn't start my computer with connection. But now he says that he does not recognize it and comes up with an error 43. I tried to reinstall the drivers, but it still doesn't work.

I have many irreplaceable info on the external hard drive and am really upset that I can't make it work

Can someone help me please.

The 43 error could appear due to different reasons and so its not easy to say what causes this HARD drive failure.

The issue could be due to the defective, faulty driver installation cable USB or a USB port.
It is also possible that the system has been confusing upward and the registry should be cleaned or repaired.

From there where I bit you should check some necessary workarounds.
First of all I recommend you connect this HARD drive on another computer.
Test it by using the 2nd laptop or desktop PC and connect the HARD drive to different USB ports.

S computer USB ports should be checked as well. Disconnect all USB devices.
Go to Device Manager and remove all USB hubs, controller and ports.
Then restart the system.
After restarting again, the system must initialize ports that are automatically deleted.

Last but not least Microsoft published a document of troubleshooting in order to solve the problem of error 43.

Error: USB device not recognized when you try to access an external USB hard disk.

Check also.

If anything would help him, probbaly the HARD disk is defective :(

  • Secondary HDD not recognized

I recently bought a used HP CD7100 CMT desktop computer and I try to install a secondary (or slave) antibody SATA hard drive.

It is the first computer I owned with SATA drives and I can't recognize the drive volley.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

You said high school you are trying to install is a SATA drive.  There are no jumpers on the SATA drives. I assume you are using a SATA data and power connector.  If so, the two drives appear actually in the BIOS?  If so, the hard drive is formatted?

To format the hard drive, go to control panel, system and Maintenance, administrative tools, computer management, and on the left margin click on disk management.  On the screen, you should see a volume that is not assigned.  Right-click on the new volume and select 'Format '.  The format will take a while depending on the size of the hard drive, but it shows the percentage of completion at the top of the window.  Make sure you don't accidentally format your main drive.

I replaced the original 10 GB hard drive in my Inspiron 2500 with a PATA/IDE Hitachi 80 GB 5400 RPM HARD drive (mod 0 has 28417).   BIOS shows no disc HARD now.  BIOS is the current version, A15.  I tried to remove and re-seating the new drive twice with no effect.

  • Inspiron 531 - 2nd SATA HDD not recognized

    Hi all

Well my beautiful shiny new Dell was delivered today.

I got my disk 'Data' from my old PC (before it is returned) and put in the new PC today. Connected by cable SATA and SATA power supply that connects the drive "primary".

However, when the DVD player is connected to SATA 01 and disk 'data' to SATA 02 or 03 then the dat adrive is not detected in BIOS or Vista. I tried another SATA cable and swithched the SATA power leads between the main drive and the "data disk" but nothing works.

However, when I disconnect DVD and then connect 'Data' drive to SATA 01 it appears.

If I then reconnect the DVD SATA 02 or 03 while it does not appear.

So overall, it seems that only SATA 01 and 02 or work.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

The power supply is not enough strong (I also have an in this 8600GT GFX card)?

    See you soon

  • USB - external hard drive WD My Book 1230 is not recognized (Code 28 - access denied)

Problem started with the purchase of a an external 4 TB My Book Western Digital drive.

I bought this second external drive for backup on a fully functional IDENTICAL existing WD my book 1230 4 Tb.

My PC is a HP Pavilion e9180f running under Windows 7 64-bit.

The new external drive is not recognized by the PC... I get the error message

Device driver software was not successfully installed

Please consult the manufacturer of your device to help get this device installed

    My book 1230 X failed

When I put the driver (with admin rights) I get the error message

Windows encountered a problem installing the software driver for your device.

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error trying to install it (USB Mass Storage Devive - access denied)

I tried the HDD not recognized on a HP Envy laptop running Windows 8 and it is recognized and work very well (if the disk is OK).

As a possible solution, I downloaded and installed the driver for the WD HARD drive without erasing the situation.

I tried to plug the WD My Book 1230 on all existing 7 port USB of the PC and the situation still exist.

In Device Manager the defective WD My Book 1230 appears under the category "other devices."

I tried the Microsoft Mr.Fixit running without correcting the problem.

You have a trick to help me solve the problem.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, your procedure has not worked as the device could not be uninstalled from the Device Manager.

As I prepared to reinstall Windows 7, I gathered information from Control Panel - programs.

I did a search by the most recent dates, and I realized that an Application has been installed and I was not aware that I installed it.

The cause of my 9 day long search for a solution was a malicious program called Manager of adjustment by the AZTECS.

Removing and restarting desktop cured the problem.

Now all USB devices, including my Western Digital My Book 1230 are recognized.

Thanks for your advice, support and everything.

It is a "case closed" with a happy ending :-)

Now I ve tried all USB devices, to begin with it uninstailling everything on we / off on to just pluging it when we / off and it keeps saying be the devide was not recognized and it doesn't propperly (small box pop up bottem left of the screen)

Now Issve exchanged it once already, and he said that the unit was defective, but having exactly the same problem with two different cameras? This seems a little more bad luck for me.

If anyone can help, that´d be great.

    Hello

You have software of Regen with your HARD drive? I don't know if this can help, but check the Toshiba download page and you'll find a version for Windows XP Home edition. Maybe this will help.

  • HDD USB not recognized as "physical1" when creating the new virtual machine

    Hi all

I wanted to create a new virtual machine, and I wanted to use my USB as a physical drive.

But Workstation shows me "physical0" which is of course my drive internal.

I tried USB pen drives. They are not recognized either.

This somehow is no longer supported? I would have that it would be possible to use USB external HDD as the physical drive to a new virtual machine.

    you have installed VirtualBox?

If so, you can try to use the virtuaklbox command line tool to create a descriptor of rawdisk for this disc.

say diskpart on this drive? -It is "online"?

  • HDD and dvd are not recognized in the configuration menu, what could be the problem?

The hard drive and dvd drive are not recognized on the configuration menu for my desktop Pavilion a4316f.  What is a controller failure?  A PCI controller can be used to replace the motherboard controller?

    dhobs,

Anguish, that the suffering of the faulty motherboard has been aggravated by your actions. Why you decided to perform a restore (which re - formate the disk, erase all your data files (documents, photos, videos to misic,) is really amazing.)

You had a viable BONE, work and the data store. You he clobbered with recovery. As explained, the 'tattoo' reads the embedded hardware configuration and will stop at the resumption of treatment if it detects a change.

Only temporary help I can offer is to open the computer case and install a small 12v on the NVidia chip fan. IF the chip is not 100% burned, you can earn low enough time to reinstall the operating system and then add the map.

  • Installation of XP Prof on Tecra A9 PTS52E - SATA HDD is not recognized

    Hi all

I have a "nine" Tecra A9 (PTS52E) with Vista Business installed. However, I need XP Prof and a CD of XP - SP2 slipstreamed. The SATA drive is not recognized XP installation, so I need a driver of "F6."

There are a lot of howtos on this for the 945 chipset, but I couldn't solve this problem on my A9 (Mobile 965 Express Chipset). I don't want to buy a USB floppy for one-time-installation drive. So I have to build the driver (iastor.sys and more) in the XP installation disc.

A few problems: there seems to be no easy way to do this, because intel only provides files *.inf for the ICH8R (RAID =) controller, which does not exist in the A9. So I have to change the *.inf files, correct?

Another thing: I saw in an another post here the discussion on switching to AHCI in the BIOS in compatibility mode. I can't find a way to change this setting.

Aargh, I need this laptop for my work on an A8 (which is also mine), I installed XP without any problem.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Michael

  • Hard drive not recognized on the computer after the upgrade to Vista

I just upgraded to vista a my ext hdd does not come in computer how to install human and format the hard drive?

    What's your Vista-compatible external HARD drive? http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/

Have you loaded the proper drivers, firmware or software for the external drive and your version of Vista?  He can't just plug-and-play, especially if this isn't original USB key but a convert.

Once it is recognized by the system (if it is compatible and once the drivers are installed), go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / computer management / management of records and right click on the external drive that shows there or format to change the drive letter or a similar task.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Tecra M9-185 - 750 GB HARD drive not recognized

    I have Tecra M9-185 (PTM91E-0G4045G3) with BIOS Version 1.90 dated the 29.02.2008.
It came with HARD drive of 160 GB, which is quite old and needs replacement. I want to upgrade the HARD drive. I tried to use the 750 GB HARD drive, but it was not recognized by the BIOS.

Is it possible to upgrade the HARD disk? Is there a limit to the ability of the new HARD disk that can be installed?

    Hello

Of course, the HARD drive can be upgraded.
The laptop supports the SATA controller. The SATA controller is not limited to a special HARD drive size of my knowledge. 750Go should be supported too. But it might be possible that the BIOS is not able to manage these dimensions.
Try a different SATA HDD with the smaller size.

But question: why you n t choose an SSD (250 GB)?
I have improved my Tecra A10 with a 250 GB SSD and the performance gain is amazing. The machine is running much faster and quieter
