ENVY 15-ae007na / 15-ae100 ENVY: ENVY 15-ae007na / ENVY 15-ae100na

Can Hi anyone help?

First of all, I'm not very technical.

I am considering buying a HP ENVY 15.

The two models in the title have 1 TB 5400 RPM HARD drive.

I want to have a slot m2 free, if I can put a M.2 SSD drive in French - preference to boot from, but I don't know if it's possible...

Can someone tell me if one (or both) of these two models has one slot m2, and if I can use it for the purpose I have described?

If neither have a M.2 slot, what an mSATA?

Thank you

Hello

1. slot No. M.2 and slot memory (RAM) are two different things.

2 manual says:

Two accessible/upgradable memory module slots
Supported dual channel DDR3L-1600
Support 16 GB of RAM in the following configurations:
16384 MB (8192 MB × 2)
12288 MB (8192 × 4096 MB × 1 + 1 MB)
8192 MB (8192 MB × 1, × 4096 MB 2)
6144 MB (4096 MB + 2048 MB)

You can get a parts of authorized service provider to add RAM for you that means more expeisive than buying a laptop whose alreade had 16 GB of RAM

3. Yes, adding more things the price go upward, BUT still less expensive to add later.

Kind regards.

    It's just what it takes.

    No need to remove anything.

Your laptop requires an adapter 90W.

    19.5V x 4.62 A = 90w

Your safe to use one adapter 90W or 120W.

    Hello @space_thread,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the SSD question and wanted to help!

The m2 slot seems to be located next to the memory Modules.  There is a Phillips PM2.0x3.50 screw that secures the SSD to the system board.  Your product supports the following SSD:

    SSD (m2) drive

    256 GB - 812708-001

    128 GB, 2280 M2 - 829985-001

    128 GB (Best Buy SKUs) - 820547-001

Therefore the 500 GB m2 will be not compatible.  I hope this helps.

  • Envy 15 t: upgrade memory and hard drive HP ENVY 15t

Hi guys, I just bought the HP Envy 15 not touch t (ae100) with the following characteristics:

-CPU & graphics: 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core processor + Intel HD Graphics 530

    -Memory: 8 GB DDR3L - 1 DIMM

-Hard drive: 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive

I have a few questions about it. First of all, my laptop doesn't have a vacant unit of m2 where I can insert an SSD and if not a SATA 3 2.5-inch SSD fits instead of the hard disk without additional fixing or need support.

Second, is there an empty memory slot to insert a 8 GB of additional ram.

Any kind of assistance will be extremely useful and thanks in advance.

No crack m2. From the Manual:

Only dedicated support of storage SATA m2 (Port 0) (models with i7 processors and 4 GB memory graphics)

So if you have Intel HD video only you do not have a slot m2.

Here's the manual for your use:

    Repair manuals

Yes on the memory 8 GB 2d module:

Both not accessible/upgradable module DDR3L-1600 slots double channel memory support 16 GB of RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 16384-Mo (8192 MB × 2)

Access to the memory and hard drive are obtained by removing the lower cover. Technically this is not allowed to the end user if security is jeopardized.

A standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD to integrate perfectly in the original hardware for hard disk 5400 RPM. It is a highly recommended update. The 16 GB of RAM not so much, but it's one of those things "might as well" If you are determined to go there.

    Hello

I just bought a HP Envy 5640 printer.

It works very well, but every time I have to print a photo in Photo 1.0.1 NICU OS X 10.10.5, Photos will be leaving after that print is sent to the printer.

The photo prints fine, but needs pictures to be restarted every time.

I've not seen posted here - but since you are more than a year behind in updates, bug fixes and new features, you can see a verry old bug that has been fixed many years ago for people who follow to this day - unless he ia a clue right for you m = not updated I suggest you backup and update of OS X Sierra = and Photos 2.0 - this never can solve your problem
