There are NO latch on the base of the computer. It is simply triggered three lines centered on the outside of the battery. Help me please!

The output jacks of battery appears on page 29 of the user manual and installation/removal of battery instructions are on page 65.  If you do not have a manual you can download it from acer.com.

    Hello

Maybe you should first check if there is no access to all the files that are stored on external HARD drive

I put t know how it works with your external HARD drive, but if I want to remove my HARD drive safely the new window opens and I get a USB mass storage device called option.

    If I mark this USB mass storage device and press STOP then a new window opens and I get 3 different devices;
    -USB mass storage device
    -Generic volume
    -USB HDD device

If I score the first two options then my HARD drive crashes but if I choose the last of them then I can remove the HARD drive safely

  • Satellite 5205-S505 - how to remove the battery with the damaged battery latch?

I try to set aside my laptop (satellite 5205-s505) today. But I found that the release latch was damaged somehow. What can I do?

My seriously damaged lcd. I have method to close the LCD to save energy (just use external moniter)?

This battery is a very good question. I think you're the first person who asked it.
If you cannot remove the only way is, I think, to disassemble the entire laptop and somehow free battery.

When you use the external monitor, you have to use the FN + F5 key combination and switch to an external monitor only. Portable computer's LCD will be OFF.
You can also check the Advanced display settings. Usually, you can also find settings to define where should be the office.
    Check it out!

  • Satellite A55-S1065 - after removing the battery, BIOS ask me password

So, something happened yesterday, and it seems to me that it is very strange.
I have a portable Satellite A55-S1065. And while I was with power point, the
computer crashes. In the midst of my confusion, I decided to delete
the battery just to make him stop.

So I did it and plugged it again
and I tried to turn on the computer. Now, the bios ask me a password,
but I've no idea what password it is that. Can someone help me solve this problem?
IM really desperate to find a solution to this since this computer contain
    many of my works.

    Thank you very much.

    > After removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
I know it may seem silly now, but I never heard of something like that. I use laptop for a long time and I had the experience with many others and strange question, but something like that, never.

Problem is that we are dealing here in the public forum and BIOS password is a very sensitive area and very important security feature, so we can not write here about some illegal ways how you can remove the BIOS password.

If there is no way to start your laptop, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
    I'm sorry. :(

  • Satellite A500-1GL: it is advisable to remove the battery when you use the network

I know this is a silly question but its actually something I know not so thought I would ask.

I almost always plug my laptop into the supply line (satellite a500 1gl)
I was wondering have you actually keep the battery installed even when using the electrical network.
Or is it really advisable to remove the battery when you use the network?
I didn't know if the battery should always be in place.
    Thanks for your help

    Hello

A few years ago it was recommended to remove the battery of the laptop if the AC adapter is plugged. What keeps the constant charge battery
New age of batteries are better you can leave the battery in the Bay it s ok and it should not affect the performance

However, sooner or later each battery would die it s only a matter of time, you know

  • C50-A-1DN satellite: black screen until the battery has been removed

The battery of my laptop Satellite C50-A-1DN was defective despite attentive treatment after more than a year.

Now the screen remained black at the beginning of the unit.
After that I removed the battery, I could see the computer then power up as usual.

    How is that?

Well, this question seems a bit strange because even if the battery couldn't keep cooler, the laptop should be able to power being plugged into the mains.

I'm not quite sure that the problem is related to the battery...

However, the battery is a removable part and very cheap... so in all first the battery should be replaced and laptop computer features must be tested using the new good farm work.

If the problem of the laptop will not be resolved even by using the new battery, well in this case there must be a serious problem with the motherboard... maybe power electronic problems...

  • Satellite A500 - Remove the battery when connected to the network?

    Hello

I bought a new Satellite 500 and I would use it as much as possible. I'm not sure the stage of development of this battery. Should I remove the battery when I use the laptop at all times with the net supply?
Or this does not damage the battery longer years yet there is, or is the problem of the destruction of the battery because of the heat and being reloaded frequently persists?

I'm sorry if I could post to redundantly, but it is difficult to search for information, since I'm not a native speaker.
I encourage you just for a small tip for a related thread if available.

    Thank you very much!

I can load once a week.

  • Satellite C660D - 10 d will not start unless I have remove the battery and reinsert

Present a strange problem that I can't solve.

Brand new, open all laptop worked perfectly.

Turned off normally and left it overnight with the power supply connected.

Next day morning pushed the button market / stop the portable green power on but light did not start.

Press and hold the button for 10 seconds does nothing.

I remove the battery for 10 seconds and put again and then you press the power button and you get a full boot up normally.

Everything on it works perfectly, you can restart the laptop without problem, you can even turn off then turn on half an hour later with no problems.

This problem occurs only when it is off and that the power is plugged in for several hours.

Back to toshiba warranty, I've attached a note explaining the problem and even returned what he locked up so he wouldn't turn until they removed the battery.

10 days later they returned it saying that the intensively checked the laptop and found no abnormalities.

I plugged the battery and pressed the power button / stop and the same question once again outside of this period, that the fan runs for 2 seconds then turns off, I removed and re inserted the battery about 15 times before it started normally.

Last night went out as normal and this morning the question of the standard of don't turn is not on at all.

Just to clarify him when the power supply is left connected overnight or for several hours so that the system is power off the laptop does not start, the Green led lights, no fans spin, no sign of life. One way to start is to remove the battery for 10 seconds.

I've been on toshiba again and said that if I return it a second time and they can't find a fault that I would have to pay £80 for it returned. I recorded the fault to prove that they is a fault but they seem not interested in that.

Up to now, the bios has been updated, reinstalled windows, I can't replace drive HARD or RAM that the warranty will be voided. However issue and im 90% that this is a motherboard.

All the ideas that I'm completely stuck on this one!

Sorry to hear you I have a problem with your laptop.
Problem you have is certainly hardware related issue and it should be solved by Toshiba.
In my opinion you should not spend money for new parts, trying to solve this problem.

Laptop warranty valid and should be set the laptop for free.

  • Satellite A200: Should I remove the battery when working on the power supply

    Hello

I've been running an A200 machine for the last 2 months, bought as a desktop replacement in order to fit in my small apartment. I realize now that I never ued work on battery - it is always powered on sector. Since this is unlikely to change, should I remove the battery? Deing battery degrades remaining in the machine while it is continusouly by the industry feeding, or does it not matter?

Thank you very much in advance for your reviews.

    GW.

You can remove it, but it should not be done. For me, it's stupid to remove the battery and let the dust make the battery place dirty. The batteries we use today are very good and Scott wrote the electronic power supply just to check if the battery is full and care the battery and the battery capacity.

  • Cannot start my Satellite A100 - 1 G - the battery light just flashes

Indicator of battery showed low and I plugged the power supply for the laptop and he showed the connection was made, later she flashed low battery connect to the power (although it was still connected) and then he would flash his load and then back to low battery, until it ends by died.
Now it shows even not any light when I plug in the power adapter and start not upward, the battery light blinks just and nothing else.

    Help would be appreciated!

I think the problem is the battery. Remove the battery from the laptop, connect only leave, adapter / it connected ten minutes and try to restart your laptop.

Please let us know what happens when you do this.

  • S50 satellite - A - 10 H - new battery

    Hello!

My Toshiba Satellite S50 battery - A - 10 H becomes really low and Toshiba Health Monitor also told me the same thing and I would like to replace it.

Now my question is: what battery is correct for this model? I did not find the details on the page of the manufacturer or google and you want not to blindly order any battery.

    Thanks in advance!

When you remove the battery, you can check the label and find the number on the right side on it.
I found the info that your laptop is LI - PR 4-3220 battery inside.

Problem is that the battery is under the lower lid for the battery Exchange should be done by an authorized only partner.
