Envy 15 random flickering pixels

Hello

I'm a renovated 3033 CL I bought less than a month ago. Just today, I started having problems with the display.  After a few minutes of normal use of the random colored pixels start to appear. They dance around and sparkle inside and out. They do not appear in the same place on the screen, they appear depending on what appears. It does not matter what graphics card is used or if I am connected or not. The pixels do not appear in the screenshots that I take, I think it's a hardware problem. I haven't changed anything on the system recently and my drivers are up to date.

Anyone know what it is or how to take care of it? I'll send this return?

Thanks for your help.

Update the Bios.

The update of the Bios?

Download the last update of the Bios here.

Connect the power adapter to the netbook.

Disconnect from the Internet. Close all running programs. Disable anti-virus and firewall.

Double-click the Bios update exe file. It may take some time, so it is important to remain patient, not to interrupt the process. Allow the laptop to restart after applying the BIOS update.

Although this update is running:

  • do not turn off your laptop,
  • do not unplug the power adapter,
  • do not attempt to run any software or do anything thereon.

Note:

The Bios update process is always risky. You do this at your own risk.

B.

Download and install the latest chipset driver Intel here.

Restart the system.

C.

Update the graphics driver.

Uninstall the ATI/AMD graphics driver. Click on the link below:

  • HP Envy 5540: Printer Hp Envy 5540 randomly printed the Network Configuration Page

    Hello!

I bought this printer about a month ago. Set up the connection to the printer wireless with my wifi, and my understanding is that the printer is protected like my wifi and use the same password in order to print something. I kept my printer connected and 'standby mode' since I put in place. The night last at about 23:00 when I was in bed, the printer turned on randomly and printed a "wireless network configuration page" that has had a lot of information, including the IP address and listing my name wifi as well as the names of my neighbors wifi in the surrounding apartments.

I'm trying to understand why this printed, because I certainly did not do. Anyone have access to my wifi, or has someone may simply try to print something and selected my printer as it should appear on the "list available connections on the computer of anyone, given that the printer is turned on? How could they print this sheet of network configuration if my printer is password protected?

I'm mostly concerned about someone who has access to my internet if they could print this page somehow, but maybe it happened just when they tried to connect to it, and it did not work while trying to fix MY printer?

I would appreciate any idea on the issue.

    Thank you!

    Hi @printerprob5540,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I saw your post on how your HP Envy 5540 randomly print a Network Configuration Page. I'm happy to help with this problem!

I find it very strange considering the only way to print the Network Configuration Page, AFAIK, is with the following steps:

    • Make sure that there are size A4 or US Letter, unused, plain paper in the feeder.
    • On the printer Panel, drag the screen to the left and then press Setup.
    • Touch tools.
    • Drag upward on the screen and then tap Network Configuration report.
    • A Network Configuration Page prints up to three pages of information.

  • iPad 2 iOS 9.3 Flickering Pixels of Air

I searched some forums/sites and can not find someone else who has reported this problem (yet)...

Immediately after the upgrade today... For most on the videos, but also if I bring up the background shortcut bar, or if I scroll quickly in Safari, etc... I get spatter or explosions of mainly pixels sometimes pink and red, green and blue - very confetti as!

I restarted, (but not restored yet, mainly cos I really don't want that hassle...) It's annoying, but not as annoying to reload everything would be for me, haha!). I also tried switching power reduce Motion

Everyone has noticed this? They move and no static/stuck pixels, they are random and sparkle... Once again this word... Boring! (I can screen print as attached below...) However it does show that almost half of what I actually see happening on the screen in videos).

Also, just in case, I note that of course it never happened before that I updated this afternoon, and I have not dropped my iPad, etc.). This is more just for my 'problem' of the list...

For me, it looks more like a hardware problem to a software one. Only you see in the video, or do you see it all the time. Basically it could be a fault in the video, or does do the same thing when you play a game? If it's the same everywhere so maybe that's a problem with your device and you should consider in an Apple Store and ask them to check it out.

If it is only in this video then it might be a coding error, and there is not that you can do about it.

  • HP ENVY m6: screen flickers quickly. Help, please

Hello, can someone help me solve my problem of display. My screen flickers EXTREMELY bad to the point where its unusable at the time. I don't know exactly when it started, but it was once last year and I sometimes it rig so that the screen works correctly. I tried to anaylyze and I think it might be my charger port because whenever my laptop is not plugged, the screen flickers constantly to the point where everything is white. Now when I do follow my charger, I put a piece of folded fabric or something between the end of the charger and the end of my USB mouse and sometimes place the phone in a certain way so that I can use it. However, when I attach a power cord HDMI the screen becomes berserk and is visible via the television, no matter how I position. I think that I've updated my drivers and bios last month after research this problem online because I have something called Raptr for games that is mostly what I use this laptop for.

It seems to me that your land is not working, I assume that your house facilities are ok, so I recommend to try with another charger if you can find, or if you do not and can not get another charger / adapter you can check with your screwdriver Tester on the outer metal part (not internal but external) of your part of the cable that goes into your laptop and if it lights up when it is plugged and when test you you know that the current is out of somewhere, or you could do the same test but on some metal of your display port, but you must do it while it is plugged, and I recommend that you check the use of screwdriver Tester, but before all that I recommend try you and install fresh of the print like that driver :

    1. download DriverSweeper: Driver sweeper, run it and remove all the ati drivers or amd he finds, reboot

2 Download this then: Intel drivers, install it and run it, let it find your drivers intel and download it, after he made his work to install and restart

    3. Download this: AMD drivers, it is amd the latest driver for your system and your card, after it downloads install and reboot

    Hi mate

I think I have bad news for you.
According to your description the graphics card chip begins to malfunction, and I think you have only one chance to solve this problem; the defective part must be replaced!

I would recommend so contact the nearest authorized service partner in your country and ask for later handling.

  • Pixels flickering and bluish on the screen.

    Hello

I had a problem with my laptop Dell Inspiron n5110. It worked completely fine until today.

At first, all of a sudden when using the laptop in the morning, the screen started give green weird flickering pixels/micro-points on different parts of the screen (not whole screen). I stopped immediately and after a while it started back. The question remained, and then in a few minutes they went. It was working fine again. I stopped it after using it in an hour or two. In the evening, I started using it again and same problem happened while watching a video. Parts of the screen flickered with green dots... and they seemed to form templates with entertainment (videos or even buttons of windows that lights up when you move the cursor over them). A few bands (thick horizontal strips) then started across the screen from the bottom up. And now (half an hour), the entire screen is greenish-blue with stagnant weird pixels on the screen. Is attached a screenshot of the screen. Kindly let me know what is the problem and the solution to it.
I googled for this problem and found out it might be a problem with the graphics card of heating. But I took care of this laptop more than usual. I use a fan Cooler Master Dual cooler (with special cool aluminium body) every time I use the laptop. Since this is my work laptop, I never played games on this laptop that demand high-end graphics or whatever it is such. I have a desktop machine with processor and card for goal/graphics games high-end graphics. When I bought the laptop, it is used to heat a lot especially below left side of the keyboard (to the left of the touchpad). I immediately bought the cooler and even in this case the heating problem persisted. I discovered on the internet that this particular model has problems of design of the body and very hot. Since that time, just to be careful, that I never left the use of the cooler.

I'll be very grateful for your support. Looking forward eagerly for assistance.

First check: connect an external monitor.  It shows the same fault, you probably don't have a bad video chip (and you need to replace the motherboard).  If it has a good image, then would be to reconnect both ends of the display cable and check for damage.  If it is damaged, replace the cable. If this does not help, replace the display board.

  • Export of work plans that jpg randomly adds a pixel to the document

I created a document of 10 pages to 1200px x 1200px. When I export the pages as jpg at 72 dpi for web, some of the files become a randomly added pixel. So the first page will be 1200 x 1200 properly but the 2nd page is 1200 x 1201, and the third is 1201 x 1201 and the fourth is 1200 x 1200, etc.. I have confirmed that all pages are the same size (1200 x 1200) and I made sure the default units are defined in pixels. Anyone know what could be causing this? Strangely if I select 150 dpi as output all come out as it should to 2500 x 2500 with no extra pixels. I hope someone can help me with this, as it is screwing up placing the images on the website. I've have to run a batch every time to resize them at 1200 x 1200.

Here is a picture showing what I mean.

    AddedPixel.jpg

check each work plan's sitting a measure specific pixel, not 4613.77px like you have one shown. Make sure that all work plans are a specific position X and Y pixel whole values for example 4613px. as AI allows them to sit at randome positions.

  • First Pro CS5 pixelation with T2i .mov files

    Thanks for the great information!

    Here's my scenario...

    • Windows 7 64 bit family

    • Intel quad core processor

    • Nvidia Geforce Gt240 graphics card

    • 8 GB of ram

    • G - tech g-raid0 drive 2 TB (for image storage)

    • WD Caviar Green 500 GB (OS Win764bit & amp; applications)

    • WD 250 GB usb 2.0 external drive (for backup)

    • First Pro CS5 (prod prem) modded to enable nvidia gt240 graphics card be used with the Mercury playback engine

    Backstory:

    I shot a short film of 2 weeks using a Canon Rebel T2i at 1080 p 24 with shutter speed 1/50.

At the end of the first day of shooting, I had to transfer the .mov footage off the coast of the Trandcend 16 gb class 10 memory cards with card reader Kingston for the Raid. I used a legacy firewire card connected to the aforementioned PC (it's all I got for the firewire connection at the time), and I noticed that the file transfer has been extremely slow. So for the next two days after I transferred the rest of the video on the Raid via USB 2.0 and the other files transferred much faster.

Play the images using VLC Media Player is well most of the time, but sometimes I see for about 5 frames pixel information is lost. It is not rolling shutter or jello. Part of the pixelated frame strongly for all 5 to 10 frames. I don't know if it's the loss of data on these images? I agree with a few images here or there, I can work around it if I have to...

    The problem:

I used the DSLR 1080 p 24 preset to set up sequences of the first Pro CS5 project. After you import the images above, reading in two preview windows randomly is pixelated, similar to the effect of VLC, but random parts. For the most part, VLC is compatible with the management of the problem. Whenever I start the first it will be Pixelize frames in different places than before. Sometimes when I run first first is good, then after a few readings, it starts to distort. After management problem for the current session, the pixelation appears in the clips that have the green status bar. Also, sometimes (randomly) some of the clips in the timeline panel have green waves at the bottom of them, or are completely green.

I tested the raw images in VLC, WMP, Media Player Classic (after you temporarily install KLite hoping to solve the problem). The problem that all .mov files seem to Pixelize the same framework of each player. First, but pixilated times randomly.

Tried with two mpeg streamclip and even with cineform neoscene U transcoding. Same results.

I have not been able to narrow down what is the problem. Any ideas?

    Thank you very much.

The problem is resolved. My cache of media was written to my local hard drive (c :)), a WD Caviar Green 500 GB. It turns less 7200 RPM, as it is friendly green. After clearing the cache and redirect the path to the raid 0 drive 7200 RPM, the media reads in the timeline smoothly without pixelation. A high technology, Adobe has helped me solve this problem after a lot of troubleshooting. Thank you!

  • y510p hdmi games at 120 Hz

    Hi guys

I recently bought a Lenovo y510p GT750m sli, that's pretty impressive for the games, but now I think to buy an external monitor, and here I need a bit of advice.

the monitor I need if work of handel via my Macbook and games via my y510p, for the work I am looking for a monitor 27 "1440 p to 1080 p games would do well.

    Basically, I have 3 questions:
-How can I be sure that my y510p have HDMI 1. 4 b (b is important here)?
-I'll be able to get a good gaming performance on an external monitor via HDMI 1. 4B (my concern here is, I'm going to invest in a screen and find myself less than 30 frames per second or aving to lower the quality of game dramatacilly)?
    -l'y510p will be able to run 1080 p 120 Hz on a 1440 p monitor?

I have my eye on a few of the monitor, if anyone has any experience with them, I'd love to hear about them (especially on game performance)

    -DELL U2713HM
    -Samsung S27A850D
    -ASUS PB278Q
    -BenQ BL2710PT

(ps: I'm not sure above would be able to make 120 Hz 1080 p)

Hey guys, thanks for the response guys.

I decided on an ASUS PB278Q, this is a great monitor, works like a charm on my macBook which is my daily workstation.

On my Lenovo p510 im to Office impeccable 2560x1440px via HDMI 1.4, I disabled the internal monitor to the laptop, no need so I will save the gpu rather ' etc.

There are some pixel/artifact problems, do not know what to call it, for the DS, in the window of the browser chrome for Battlefield 4 I get a few strange flickering pixels in bright colours red/green, but only in the middel of the browser when the page uses opacity layers, I have not seen this in any games or other applications so I count them for nothing.

To the bottom of the scale of the problems: the screen seems to manage to the bottom of the scale is pretty bad, I have e.g. set the monitor 1920 x 1080, text etc. is slightly blurry, it also takes effect in games, I don't know if it is a question of monitor og gfx card, I can only reconmmend by running the Office at 2560x1440px

    Games:
Virtually all games run smoothly with the external monitor in the middle to high heat, I run most of the games in 1080 p mode.

Battlefield 4 - BF4 is quite demanding, I tried running at 1440 p high, but it lags a lot, so currently im running the game in 1080 p 59.9 hz settings means to 57 to 60 fps, even on 64player cards in the center of the heat , light sweet, I get about 120 frames per second , but I recon I see only 60 of them since the screen is set at 60 hz.

Diablo 3 - 1080 p works great in 1440 p high, at the top is possible but a few times so that walk a few stuttering occurs, interest in 1440 p image is rich in saturation, but 1080 p, it seems more gray'ish light, like a high gamma version. (update: run the game in 1680 x 1050 to get the same rich saturation like 1440 p )

Guild wars 2 -to 1440 p settings means v-sync (choose autodetect to preset settings) I get about 60 images per second, which is very nice

    Overall:
even if you game on the native of the lenovo display is large enough, nothing beats having a widescreen from 27 "to eye level, in most of the cases the y510p's to the task, but for FPS games properly, you will need to play 1080 p to og medium low to get a good pace, even though It is absolutely worth playing on a screen of 27 ", my games have improved a LOT.

If you plan ARICI to use the monitor for the y510p, I'd go with a cheaper screen, maybe a 1080 p version because of the problems of scaling of the pb278q from asus, but since im using it for my mac book as well, it works fine .

So there you have it, game on the y510p on an external monitor to 2560x1440px with FPS desente and quality gfx is possible .

    Hello.

I have a new server and the installation of VMware ESXi 5.5 Update 1 the installer knows graphical corruption (the screen shows strange colors random movement pixels). Other operating systems can be installed, such as Ubuntu, and the BIOS is accessible. It is only when the disc with the VMware Installer starts the graphics go crazy. I contacted the technical support of the company, we bought the server from and they said there was no known compatibility problems and communicate with VMware. The motherboard is a X10SLM +-LN4F by Super Micro.

It turns out the motherboard was faulty.

  • How to create a silhouette of an image 3D?

I need assistance with the creation of silhouette 3D in one of my photo, I already made one but I need to highlight a 3D effect, if anyone can help me with this.

Yes, that's why I provided the psd file.

In a sense, what I ended up doing convert the image in black and white, then apply levels to it to sharpen the who has also removed the random noise pixel.

Because the image is of low resolution, I applied a slight blur to reduce the rasterization of the edges. (makes a process similar to what the anti-aliasing)

Then I created a selection, in this case, I used the color range tool to create the selection as it can easily choose between the highlights or shadows. With the ability to adjust the amount of selection visually.

Once I was happy with the selection then I extruded the selection. 3D > new 3D to current selection.

Because extrusion is set to the extreme by default the extrusion depth had to be reduced to a normal level

    Then rotate and return.

When I have a moment I'll see if I can make a more appropriate tutorial.

    However the previous call to
