Envy 17-n065na: interview envy 17-n065na guide

I try to find for my laptop maintenance guide, but keep finding guides who say 'Envy 17' but do not match with my laptop (for example, where they say remove the Panel at the back, but my laptop has no sign at the back).  Is there a guide for this model (Envy 17-n065na), and if so, where is it?

Hello

If your laptop is a cover from the bottom of one piece, the guide you need is on the following link.

    mygkids,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

You seem desperate and I'm sorry that it does not work.

We don't quite know what you do or what you have tried to solve this problem.

Here's the deal: a large part of the time, the difficulty has to do with the Application using a and printing scale selects prior to sending the document to the printer.  Usually we use print preview and adjusts the scale / size of the print goes to the printer.

Some of the standard 'patches' are provided here:

Change size print with preview before printing

    An exception / example:

A member of the forum has recently indicated that it was necessary to print a particular type of medical output in the form of a program - form was printing with the evil of his printer font size when the same form printed the correct font to the printer at the office of his employer.  Involved workaround Print print output in a PDF file and preview the form to adjust the scale and correct the desired result.  It is not the desired solution; It produces the desired result.

The point: what you need to do to fix your problem depends a lot on what you do in the first place.

If nothing only that you can find help, HP Technical Support can ask for help.

If the printer is new (ish) and you are in a certain geographical area in the world, you can always have a telephone support on the printer - you can call HP for support.  We can always ask to see if this is the case.

    Phone support period

I just bought a pretty good 15-af131dx market HP laptop with the intention on the upgrade before use.  The laptop has 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500 GB SATA drive.  I am lucky to have a module of RAM Kingston DDR3 4 G and a Toshiba 1 TB SSD, which could make my laptop low range, a nice notebook.  I have an external USB box I can ride my SSD to clone according to the procedures that I saw on the forum.  I also noticed links to guides of material of the other models that could provide me with instructions if I need to crack the case (I have not yet opened the box it came in yet)

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I use Win10 every day, but did not run in all the problems 'graying' with Web-sites, but then, I am careful not to use this excuse wobbly, paralyzed, buggy for a browser that MS forced us called on BOARD!

If you run into this problem using the tip, then try using another browser.

If you use a browser provided by MS, and then move on to use IE.  IF it works, do follow these instructions to make IE by default (if you want it to BE the default): solved how to reset IE as default instead of edge - Windows 10 Forums browser

    Good luck

    Hello

I'm planning on ordering a new SSD to insert as secondary on this laptop. According to the manual of the unit, it has an SSD Slot for m2 but I couldn't identify it the first time I opened. However, I have a picture that I hope where in the Board of Directors is the m2 for the SSD connector?

Now, I see the right slot. Not sure how I missed it. I only did you link to the manual, which is what would a HP technician if you could talk to one. Of course, my post was not the solution, but it's not as if they pay me for solutions. • Desktop HP Envy 700-305no: SSD Installation Guide

    Hello

The pc comes with a hard drive hybrid with 16 GB of cache Express, and some say, that I am therefore not able to install the SSD.

The wish for SSD comes from the coming Win 10 which I would install on SSD alongside the most used applications either Office and others.

I've been in contact with HP, but they seem unable to specify the How - to's question. Strange when you know that they sell these PCs for a living.

As I'm fairly new to SSD, I would warmly welcome a guide step by step for the zero on the SSD installation and new operating system on this particular machine.

Must also have a list of would be nice (cables, rack...) as well as a description of the location where on the motherboard, the drive must be connected.

Finally, any information may be necessary - I read somewhere that you need to disable the original hard drive to install the SSD, and somewhere else that the boot sequence should be changed. Others again, said that the SSD will be automatically recognized, and some say I have to get the pc to install the SSD.

All of these statements leave me a little confused and with a lot more questions, e.g. what will happen with the old Win 8.1 on the C drive, if I install a Win 10 on SSD?

Wow - it's a lot to ask, but I hope someone is able to help me, and I send you all to thank you in advance

    Hello

There is a lot of confusion and frustration with the help of technology.  These two words are very common on many forums.

I suggest you Google "SSD Installation Guide" and you should find a lot of general literature.

Installation of a 2.5 SSD "will require a special mounting for your PC kit...  HP should have what you need. Please read this thread.

Frankly, you won't earn as much in performance using a SSD verses your existing configuration.

  • HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC J6P01UA: Viewer guides hp force display of user's guides in word

At the opening on the user guide HP for the first time on a new HP laptop, I was presented with an option to view the user guide in Word or PDF and maybe other choices.  I have happpen to choose the WORD.  Big mistake.  It was unknowingly a permanent and irreversible choice with no parameters to return to the display guides the user in PDF format. Now whenever I want to watch the user's guides through utility centre (including the help Wizard or Documentation HP) HP, it throws me a conversion unwanted and responsible for warning in Word format).  I didn't have a conversion to Word, nor have I received a warning that a viewling option was irreversible.

How to reverse it so that when I use the HP Center utility, I either get a choice to watch again the options or manuals in PDF format?  There must be a setting stored at a place that can be undone.

I know I can work around this problem by downloading the manuals and do not use the center of the HP utility.  I prefer to solve this problem, so I can get updates and to find the manuals to the more intuitive location, and who knows - really interest me this option

to view a day manuals in various formats.

Curiously, the option of language/country is presented each time.  I can undo an accidental choice of manguage, but not format.  These two options should be saved and editable somewhere in the center of the HP utility.

    Please try:

    b/open files from Windows Explorer.

    (b) right click a pdf file (known).

    (c) click on properties,

    (e), select Adobe Reader.

If no Adobe Reader on list. Please download and it:

  • HP envy 1010sv 6: Partition guides

    Hello everyone!

I am preparing for windows 10 and I want to save my laptop. I do not understand a lot about the backup process and I want to know my options. I am mainly interested in the base system (files in win7, drivers, etc) and not my files (images, videos, etc), which I have already synced with the external backup drive.

First of all, I want to understand the (already installed) "Recovery" partition works and if I can bring back Win7 via recovery, in case something goes wrong. 'Move ii' on an external drive?

Secondly, I would like to Win7 backup itself (I think that's what we call 'image of the system').

My laptop has some recovery tools provided by "HP support assistant. Is there a manual for this? A guide?

I'm fighting to understand the functioning of the backup system process, so whatever it is will be useful.

    Thank you!!!

You have created a recovery USB?

This is a very important step to take before considering any change. It's actually the copy of the delivered operating system that you have already paid for.

  • 6 1012sd hinge envy / back cover - what parts of screen replacement?

    Hello!

My HP envy 6 portable 1012sd, I have for half a year now, has a broken left hinge. I saw on the forum that it is a known problem, unfortunately I left my pass laptop out of my hands so I kind of did myself (although it was a weak point that broke).

Because it is not under warranty, I have to fix it myself. I found the interview guide (pdf document named c03282148) and opening my laptop I saw that the hinge itself is not broken, but a small piece of plastic of the back cover (of the screen) is broken.
