  Method 1 :
  You can check if you are able to start properly in safe mode. In safe mode; you have access to only the drivers and base files. Check out the link to start the computer in safe mode and then check-

  Method 2:

  You can check if you can use the last known good configuration. It's a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly. Whenever you turn your computer off and Windows shuts properly, important system settings are saved in the registry.   I have Toshiba Satellite L750 slightly less than 2 years. He developed intermittent problems, when starting it arrives with white/grey screen and disappear when the login screen is ready. • Vista won't start! gray screen

  When I start my computer, windows error recovery comes with 2 optoins.
  Start the reboot system (recommended)
  Start windows normally.
  When I click on startup repair "windows loading files", and then black screen for a minute or 2, then a gray screen with message
  "system recovery options" the installed program cannot start. Click ok to turn off the computer...

  I put the boot to boot from the cd/dvd and using a recovery disk, "press any key to start from the cd/dvd.
  then "windows loading files" then it goes to a blue screen with some white thick vertical lines.
  After about 5 minutes or more, the "install windows" screen.
  I enter the language/time andcurrency/keyboard and click Next.
  then repair windows.
  "system recovery options" appears, but there is nothing in the box operating system for me to click to fix?
  "If you do not see your operating system listed, click load drivers to load the drivers from your hard drive or click on the next button... what should I do to reslove this as im going nuts! Please help me.

  There is no Vista free download legal available.

  Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

  Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

• Installation of VMWare Workstation 11 freezes with gray screen!

  I know this is a very known issue, but difficult to solve, I can't install VMWare Workstation V11 (tried with the old version 8, the same) since as soon as I click Setup, I have a gray screen and installation seems suspended it.

  Tried the same thing with VMWare Player, same result, even with older versions...

  No way to close the gray screen, unless you kill the process.

  My case is laptop Thinkpad T510, native W7 64-bit, processor Intel i5, 4 GB ram, Java utility installed and 100% updated, Nvidia GPU, nothing strange.

  Microsoft Security essential only running, no other AV or firewall...

  I tried to save two files reading autour on this community, but this does not solve the problem.

  I see not what is a well known problem and it is absurd does not have a way to solve it on VMWare...

• Blank gray screen on wake?

  So I am using this Mac mini (late 2014, 2.6 GHz Core i5, 8 GB memory, 1 TB HDD, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6) for almost a year now and I'm having a serious problem with waking up from his sleep recently.   I just installed a Samsung Evo 500 GB SSD in my Macbook Pro 2010. I went to start and it starts very slowly due to a gray screen just sat there for about 30 seconds and then it shows the apple logo and it takes another 15 seconds to load. The gray screen did not appear before installing the SSD but the Apple logo did take longer to load with the HARD drive. I used SuperDuper to clone my my SSD HARD drive and installed the SSD and it starts normally. The only issue was the gray screen. I've heard that I need to go into system preferences and select Startup disk, then my boot drive, but there is no choice. Help, please.
