  I have a HP DV7 7332ea want. I recently put a San Disk Extreme 2 120 GB SSD as drive and put the HARD drive in the Bay secondary. I installed Win 8.1 clean and everything works well. I then worked my through the various settings required in the operating system for one SSD maximize its usefulness as travel page file on the HARD drive, deleting hibernation, switching to restore in Control Panel and the last was to change registry settings to activate the DIANE and select it in the bios. However, the "F2" for this model Envy Bios has no option for IDE or DIANE. What this means and am I actually losing any ability to form my SSD if DIANE is not enabled?

  Hello:

  The contoller drive in your model can be set to RAID and that cannot be changed.

  You can check that the speed control is set to RAID if you go to Device Manager and see a category of storage controllers.

  Click to expand this category and you will see a controller RAID SATA Intel that are listed there.

  As long as you have installed the driver Intel RST that you'll TRIM full support for your SSD in RAID mode and you should ignore all the warnings on the drive doesn't work is not in AHCI mode.

• HP Envy 15 Touchsmart does not start after the bios update

  I had one laptop touchsmart from HP Envy 15 (initially Windows 8, windows 8.1 now) for about 2 months now and have not had any problems, until a few hours ago I tried to update the bios of my laptop with the hp support assistant. After the reboot, the pc is more would start up and took me to a blue screen with the error SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Everything that I've done short far from a refreshment or a reset has not worked and if I could I would avoid both that I don't have the bandwidth to download windows 8.1 again.

  After the Windows 8.1 update, did you create a restore point?  If so, you can use to restore from that date and not lose your 8.1 updated.  Some BIOS have an option for a restoration which should not affect your operating system.  I did a search of Microsoft and found this answer click here.   Here is a document on the ' update the BIOS'   click here.»  You did not provide your model number and the HP Envy 15, is a series, so I couldn't get a specific documentation for your computer.  Here is a document on ' computer will start (Windows 8) " click here. If you are able to get your computer running and upward I update all the driversand then create a restore point to return if necessary.  If the Bios update should fail a 2nd time, your restore point will take back you to just before you retried the update. If you were to use the recovery option you need go back to Windows 8, or back to the factory.

• Dv7t-3000 Black Screen after that the Bios flash (Bios CORRECT) what are my options?

  Hi, I have a dv7t-3000 and recently, I installed windows7 ultimate and so I started to install all my drivers to catch up with my laptop. I flashed my bios and the computer went to reboot and installed 76 updates before you stop. I went to bed and woke up and when I turned my count on the screen is BLACK. Without backlight or nothing. Leads to come, wireless is disabled, I hear the fan and do not know if the hard drive does not work. I don't see why it wouldn't. I tried a HARD reset and taking the ram and put it back in. Neither have worked. I even tried to hold the windows key + B when the computer turns on but no luck. Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Fixed it by resetting CMOS battery. =)

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

  I see that you have some problems with the printing of your Windows Phone to your craving 4520 e - all - in - one - done. I can help you with that.

  First of all, the HP all-in-one App Remote is designed for iOS and Android devices. For a Windows phone, you will need to instead send emails to the address of the printer configurerais ePrint. To do:

  1. On the printer, click web services icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
  2. If you see an email address that is letters and random numbers, click on the gear and scroll to delete Web Services. Once completed, click web services icon again.
  3. Click on accept and Yes. The printer should print a page.
  4. Go to HP connected and sign in or sign up.
  5. Once logged in, click the devices tab.
  6. Click Add the device.
  7. In this screen, enter the code request on the sheet of paper printed earlier.

  Now, when you need to print from your phone, you will be able to send e-mails to the address of the printer. Everything you send is print.

• HP ENVY 23 23 - d160qd: how to enter the bios on a touch screen and wireless keyboard

  I had a HARD drive crash and cannot enter the bios as the machine has wireless keyboard and touch screen. The power led lights up red on Board of the touchscreen lights on / off power, hard drive works, reader lights turned on and off. The USB ports seem to work and I have a light on my USB to RS232 device.  I did pulg a USB keyboard and hit the F10 key at startup and still no change. Make a bootable disc after Microsofts statement and it seems wook, but with a screen can't confirm that.

  I need to enter the bios to set up to boot from the usb port and I need to deal with this rear screen too. all cables, I can see are connected and a new hard drive and the hard drive are not load anything down that I can see.

  I'm glad to hear that it is resolved. I was checking regularly after your last post to see if there was an update. I got the impression you were in your previous messages set motherboard.

  Of course, I know what you mean about how things are. Many things change in one form or another, but the basics of troubleshooting are fairly constant. Eliminate the possibilities and drill down to the cause.

  "no valid-token" is this ugly page that we constantly receive during startup.

  Original 500 GB drive HARD shows signs of failure eminent.

  I cloned successfully the reader to a new 400 GB disk using NORTON GHOST.

  (I know this drive is smaller than the original, but less than 30GB was used on the original)

  Anyway, the new drive would not start.

  Assuming that the problem may come from the BONES associated with the license, I ordered all of the Compaq recovery disks.

  Meanwhile the recovery disk set arrive, I bought a 120 GB Sandisk SSD.

  (Again, I know that the 120 GB SSD is smaller than the original 500 GB HARD disc that came with the computer, but I do not plan to fill even 50%).

  Anyway, The Recovery Disc Set arrived and I tried to use it on the new 120 GB SSD Sandisk card.

  The process seems to be okay, all 3 discs of the series seem to copy and then the computer restarts and a screen displaying the files fly across the screen from one folder to the other stays there forever.

  I waited 15 hours and came back and I can still see:

  Fly across the screen, files from one folder to another folder.

  The drive activity light flashes, but of course, there is a problem.

  Some possible facts/related information:

  The SSD is detected in the BIOS.

  The good SSD checks, a "Smart" BIOS Diagnostics

  I can't find anywhere in the BIOS to disable the AHCI, it only shows SATA or IDE.

  Current Bios version is 5.5.5, and I couldn't find an updated BIOS anywhere.

  Current memory (RAM) is 4 GB (2x2gb), which was an upgrade because the machine was purchased.

  Can someone tell me please how to get beyond this problem?
