  Hello GLavergne... I'm sorry that you are having this problem with your ENVY dv6 7210us.

  As has been pointed out by Hüffer, these codes only rejects BIOS during power upward.  In this case, I don't think that the BIOS and hardware support beep codes - only blink codes.  You can see by visiting http://www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startupand clicking through for laptops - LEDs blink or computer page will beep.

  As you indicate that you are using the computer when it is happenning, you have exceeded BIOS in Windows.  Something in your Windows environment is to launch the beeps at you.

  Hi, I was at the hospital literally all week with my family. I recently came home and now my computer screen does not work? I see start hp logo and windows 8 enter screen when I tilt it, but I can't adjust the brightness or anything like that. This computer is not even a year and he's not going through a life of bad computer. I can say I used to use the computer almost every day but I have not touched since last Sunday, which would have something to do with it? My keyboard flicker or whatever it is that it starts as it does normally I can't see. I put the light in him to see why? It has never been damaged or deleted.

  Atheros I'm a dv6-7210 with an AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.  I am running windows 8.  I can connect to our wireless home network, but the signal strength is 2 bars when Iam less than 25 feet away. All other devices in the House have a higher power signal.  When I'm next to the router, it is at full power. Because soon, I get out of this room the signal strength decreases immediately. I can not connect when I'm other floor in the House.  Suggestions to improve the signal strength would be greatly appreciated, I've only had this laptop for 2 months.

  Hello.  Worked last week and the connection mths prior HDMI, TV had sound.  This weekend, 20/08/16, the TV sound went, but still had the video.  Watched forums, utube and do the audio control panel Device Manager.  Audio high definition Digital Audio-AMD display device; not plugged in is grayed out.  clicked on it does not.  the default configuration is also grey so I can't even define a default value.  PC speakers.  bought a new HDMI cable but no change.  all the drivers are up to date.  not really sure what happened.  has worked for months and now no sound.  any idea?

  I understand that you had previously no problem with the sound of the TV connected via HDMI. Last weekend, the noise disappeared. You have looked at the HP Forums, YouTube and checked in the Device Manager. Audio high definition Digital Audio-AMD display device; not trendy, is grayed out. and you clicked on it nothing doesn't. The default configuration is also grayed out, but the PC speakers work. You have successfully updated all the drivers. You bought a new HDMI cable, but change the cable did not help.

  The birthday Windows Update has been installed? 10 1607 Windows version. Have you tried to run the troubleshooter in Windows? Have you checked against viruses and malware? Did you run the HP Support Assistant? Here is a link to a post on answers.microsoft.com that can help. Audio HDMI 10 Windows does not? If the problem persists you can try to uninstall and reinstall the audio driver from the Device Manager.

  • Open the Device Manager
  • Click outputs and inputs
  • Right click on the speakers and uninstall
  • Restart your laptop

  If the problem persists, try using a different driver.

  • Open the Device Manager
  • Click Audio inputs and outputs to lengthen the list
  • Right-click on the speakers and click on update driver software
  • Click Browse my computer for driver software
  • Let me pick from a list of device on my computer drivers
  • Select the Audio device high definition
  • Click next and follow the prompts.

  Need a new hard drive. If you are still in warranty HP will send a.  If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.

  I accidentally hit the f9 key off my heyboard (hp dv6 envy). This is any other keyboard that I saw that I can't figure out how to return the key on the difference. The key itself seems fine. Then don't actually place on the keyboard.

  There is a gray circular piece attached to the back of the key with a piece of grey black hung across the circle. I can't seem to align everything to put it back on.

  (1) the module 32 GB is listed as compatible, but a 128 GB you might work too (I guess).

  (2) mean you use both at the same time? I don't know, but I would not do anyway. The mSATA is probably more slow (SATA II) as a pure SATA III SSD as Corsair Force GT or 840 Samsung but a 128 GB mSATA more a disk of 1 TB HARD pure isn't a bad configuration at all.

  First of all, thanks to all those who wish to, or be able to help with my problem, I appreciate the help.

  I bought a laptop HP dv6 ENVY of Costco today, running Windows 8, Atheros AR9485 map and the connection to a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Router - Model v3 # F7D6301.

  My problem is, in the last 6-7 hours of use, I lost the connection 3 separate times. The first two times was quite brief, lasting a few minutes. I closed the Application in Internet Explorer and reopen and try to connect again, worked fine. The last occurrence, however, lasted 15-20 minutes and eventually resulted in me just hard wiring.

  I'm brand new on HP and Windows 8 computers together, so I don't know where to start first. I searched on the web and on the forums here, but haven't found a solution.

  I uses the wireless router (wired) everyday for my Xbox 360 and rarely, or never, has connection problems.

  Please let me know if I can provide more information / information to help get the problem solved.
